I don't get it I started at 155.5 week 2 156.5 now 158. I am working my but off watching calories and doing cardio still everyday I make sure to not miss a single day. I feel slimmer and tighter I cannot figure out where the weight is going and why it is coming. Grrrrr
People are telling me it may be muscle gain. Which is great but I need to slim down then tone up. I will work more on protion control maybe I need to cut more callories out.

Count me in! I am turning for...for...forty this summer and my goal is to do it in a bikini...bite me if you don't like it I am down 9.5 lbs and would like to lose another 20. I am doing low-carb and really trying to stick to it. I do allow myself a little more freedom on the weekend, but still not eating any of the whites (potatoes, sugar, etc)... Now my issue is finding time to exercise. I was doing really well, getting up at 5 am and going to the gym for a 45 minute workout. I got sick and then got busy at work (I'm a CPA and this is my busy season) so I am struggling to find both the time and the motivation. I know I can easily drop the weight, but I REALLY need to gain some muscle tone, too.

If I like it, can I still bite you?

Read more: notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=healthyliving&action=display&thread=2079&page=7#ixzz1DYjG0fB2It's true that muscle is heavier. Cardio is great but your version of it may be creating muscle but not increasing your metabolism. Read the next post after yours-- no whites. White foods have starches that convert to sugars that set on top of your muscle. Feel your gut, if its tight under but you can still pull flab and loose skin out with your fingers-- this is the real you. To burn off that loose stuff, eat small amounts of fruits and veggies every awake hour. Your body will react by converting it into fuel. Since it isn't a full meal, your body will absorb that stuff and then take from your stored fat until the process is complete. What will happen sooner is-- you will lose the loose stuff and start to show your tighter abs. Where you really need to concentrate is-- your back muscles. The more you build them, the taller you stand. The taller your stance, the less arching you do. That alone helps you look and feel fitter. I wouldn't worry so much about the actual weight number and dieting while working out is like starting a desert hike by not hydrating yourself. Eat better, more often and stick with exercises you can feel the effects of. You'll see them soon enough!

Back on Jan 22: Had a WW weigh on Feb 10 after a two week "hiatus" and I'm at 137.2 pounds. Jeez, it's harder to loose weight now that I'm closer to my goal weight than it was in the beginning...

So, we had a surprise party last night - well not in the traditional sense. The birthday boy (man? 19 years old) wanted to come to our house - which was a surprise to us, so 8 people showed up with chips, salsa, cakes, cookies, etc. I put out a big tray of fruit, and I was pretty good.

I have a raging case of PMS, so I have not weighed myself in a few days. I'd probably cry.

Woo hoo! I am losing weight. I was able to put on a pair of jeans that I haven't worn since last year. Now to start losing weight as fast as the rest of you.

Check in for this week. Total lost so far 2.5 to 3 lbs. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so I can walk outside more often.

Back on Jan 22: Back on Feb 10:
Today Feb 24: I did weigh in at WW on Feb 17 - but I had been sick for two days before - barely ate or drank so had an outlandishly low weight. Today's weigh in was 136.8 I'm losing just slowly - about 1.5 pounds since we started. On the plus side I've had a "normal weight" BMI for the last 6 weeks! I had an "Obese" BMI back in April 2010.
I wish the weather was better - I want to go for a 30 minute walk at lunch but it's eitehr cold and snowy, cold, damp, and windy, cold and raining, or just plain Frigid!! When is the temp gonna get over 40 degrees?!?!? I refuse to actually "excercise".

J's still alive! Congrats, but I'm already less than 200lbs. I think I back slid a couple pounds. I'll see where I am tomorrow.

Hello, would like to join.
Goal lose some fat before our vacation trip in August (most likely will put it back on once falls comes around).
Started at 260 about a week or so ago, down to 254 as of this morning.
