How is he even getting 38% approval? the same way he won in 2016. That's right! They did hire that guy to rig the polls!

90% of the drugs come though legal checkpoints... which is why dems want to invest in drug detection tech and not a wall. 40% of illegals come legally and overstay their visa which is why dems want to invest in database and tracking tech rather than a wall. Et fucking cetera. If they know 90% of the drugs come thru checkpoints, why don't they stop it,,,
So which is it, they know for a fact which means of transport that has the drugs,, which I ask why don't they stop it,, or they are lying about the numbers? Do they interview the agents to see who took payoffs to look the other way when the drugs come across?

90% of the drugs they seize come across a border crossing. Only 10% of the drugs they seize come across other places. People are not using those places. They are using the access points that already exist. Or they are going by plane or sea.

And the kicker is....do you really think Trump gives a damn if the underclasses do drugs and die? Not on your life! It doesn't affect him one bit, up there in his rarified stratosphere. It's just a great talking point.

I wonder how much medical care we could provide for $5.7B. It would be interesting to see how many lives we can save that way.

Look how easy it is to get rid of undocumented workers, even our President can do it. No wall needed. OSSINING, N.Y —They had spent years on the staff of Donald Trump’s golf club, winning employee-of-the-month awards and receiving glowing letters of recommendation. Some were trusted enough to hold the keys to Eric Trump’s weekend home. They were experienced enough to know that, when Donald Trump ordered chicken wings, they were to serve him two orders on one plate.
But on Jan. 18, about a dozen employees at Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County, N.Y., were summoned, one by one, to talk with a human resources executive from Trump headquarters. During the meetings, they were fired because they are undocumented immigrants, according to interviews with the workers and their attorney. The fired workers are from Latin America. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump’s-golf-course-employed-undocumented-workers-—-and-then-fired-them-amid-showdown-over-border-wall/ar-BBSM6cP?ocid=spartandhp

"We don't go into this trying to shut the government down. ... It’s still better to get it through legislation," Mulvaney, who officially still holds his title as Director of the Office of Management and Budget, said. "That's the right way to do it. At the end of the day, the president is going to secure the border, one way or another."
Mulvaney added, "At the end of the day, the president's commitment is to protect the nation, and he’ll do it either with or without Congress."

On the other hand he folded under pressure Friday to Pelosi. Strike one, for me anyway. He promised Mexico would pay for it. His CAVing to the Speaker should be Strike Two. He’ll cave again. He’ll accept funds for border security and call it a victory...

If 1 death by an illegal is too many & something must be done immediately because of that 1 death, then it's time to talk about gun deaths too.
10+ dead in 3 days in 3 mass shootings. over 10 deaths in 3 days committed by 3 people is too many. When are we gonna talk about it? When is that number unacceptable to Republicans? Are they waiting for the NRA to go bankrupt & they can't get their fat paychecks anymore before these deaths become "unacceptable" too? 5 women shot & killed mass execution style by a white gunman. 4 family members shot dead by a white gunman. 3 family members & the shooters mother killed, shot dead by a white gunman captured today in Virginia.
When are those deaths too many to be acceptable and where's the "something must be done NOW to stop this" from the right?

I think both in the TV series Breaking Bad and The Wire, other criminals are more likely to intercept illegal drugs because they aren't hampered by the law and the need to be able to prosecute a case. I just finished watching season one and two of The Wire, which is pretty good at showing the disconnect between what you know is happening and what you end up being able to prove and prosecute in court.

If every thing is working so well, no need for a wall, how comes there are some many illegals in this country, and no shortage shortage of illegal drugs,,,,
please notice that Trump seems to be the first that is actually trying to stop this ,, and the Demos seem to want to keep letting it happen,,, Does not any one on the Left care if the Illegals continue to kill people,, I mean you want to keep those borders open??
I'd love to know why you assume illegals in the country have any significant connection to the amount of drugs in the country? Building a wall, won't stop drugs. They come by plane, by boat, by truck. Many through legal entry points disguised in other merchandise. How would a wall change that? I think Trump is just into the fear of it all instead of into the real solving of the issue. If you are fixated on a wall, you can continue to not solve the real issue of immigration or drugs, while spending money on something visible that gives you the illusion you accomplished something. I'd rather we accomplished something more than just spending money on a wall. YMMV.

Almost nothing is 100% in modifying human behavior. Its smarter IMO to think of what you want, and what you are willing to spend to get there. For example, 100% computer up time is insanely expensive, but 80% is much cheaper. The higher you go on the 80 to approaching range, your costs ramp up dramatically compared to what you achieve. Time to come up with realistic goals instead of no illegal kills a citizen ever.

I can't remember you mentioning drug overdoses before this year. why the sudden concern?
