I'm still up. Was going to bed and hubs woke up and has the telly on watching elections returns. The dems are doing ok. I'm so happy Ohio won the right to get an abortion and made it a constitutional amendment.
Like I told them on facebook. Women retaining this right will make it better for women wanting to have babies. The ob gyn's won't leave their states and the mother and baby will have way better care. It will likely reduce fatalities. So it's a win win.

We just had a wonderful hamburger. The Odon meat we buy is so good tasting, I just can't say enough good about it. I'm sure its raised locally and I'm betting not in feed lots. The amish shop there too and the owner is amish. And even better I'm pretty sure its not frozen either. The store has a huge processing area in the back. From hoof to case I would say. I told hubs we move we need to fill the freezer with enough for a year and dry ice and ice it for his trip up. He drives it in a day or two. I missed the good meat from here when gone. But it used to be all stores had it, now its just that one pretty much.
I got all the house swept, the ductwork cleaned, the sills and window ledges cleaned. I want to mop and may tonight yet. I will use my mop, only the bathrooms need the hands and knees approach.
Just the same thing everyday. It gets tedious at times, hope we make it to Washington.
Today I had to start the gas blower for hubs. This is frustrating him, but he is doing it. I still don't think he should be riding the mower, even slow.
Tomorrow DD goes to the chiropractor and Friday I'm getting an hour massage, can't wait.

NoMore, the medicaid lady is right. The incompetent nursing home bookkeeper kept hounding me. Remember when I was going nuts during covid trying to get MIL's VA pension stopped. It went on for almost a year. The home must have had a lot of problems with their bookkeeper, as they got rid of her and also wrote off a couple of charges that I think was doubled. They will wait, they will keep after you but they will wait. If they did her on the street, go to the media, that's what I was going to do. . I may be wrong but I don't think it will come to that long as medicaid is helping you.

Sometimes I feel cleaning is such a thankless task. It's clean maybe a day or two and than slowly gets ready to be done again.
I am working my way through. I have vacced our bedroom, bath, closet, laundry room, and kitchen. I tried to pull the fridge out. I always could but today could not get it to budge. I won't ask hubs, he is out mulching leaves.
It got to hot in here and I had to turn the AC on in Nov! I'm using hubs shop vac, my old sweeper with the long hose died. This one has a long hose but no solid one so I have to do it on the floor, hands and knees. There is lots of cathair down there. The robot doesn't get under but about half the furniture. Also cleaning the ducts and window sills and ledges while I'm vaccing. Once I'm done will mop, but using my stick mop, no more hands and knees today. I had to take a break for a bit. Wish I could open the windows but hubs is in a dust cloud out there, so I won't. He has taken 2 hitches at the lawn. One the other day and again today, I appreciate he is not trying to overdo it.
I'm also hydrating with some ice water.

I feel lots better today. I had a bowl of jello and hot tea for breakfast, just perfect. I will add some cereal likely for lunch. All DD wanted was yogurt, she is on a yogurt kick for awhile, its good for her so fine with me.
I think I've lost a few pounds, LOL, but they will be back..
Tamales never bother me, likely some ingredient they have added I can't tolerate. I have a lot of issues with different types of oils. I make tamales periodically and they are sooooo good. But its a lot of work to do. I will make at least 5 dozen when I do.
I also don't eat those frozen pizzas or things like that. DD and hubs thinks they are great. One of my favorite foods is just frozen peas, buttered. I eat lots of things like that and will again.
Hubs went to town this morning, he didn't work the election this year. So not sure where he is wondering around but that's ok, he needs out and about for awhile.
It has been 75 here and still no rain. I would hate to see a fire started around here, it would be deadly.

If you have an Ollie's around, they have lampshades and pretty nice ones for decent prices. Check them out.
Today went pretty good. I have been very careful with what I have eaten and not eaten much either. I tried coffee this afternoon and I think that is going to be a thing of the past too. So I had some hot tea, it was ok, I need to get use to it.
I'm making some jello for tomorrow. I have gone through this for a long long time with digestive issues. They come and go but I'm more careful most of the time. I let my guard down and eat things I should not and than I pay.
We have ozempic problems, can't get it. They said DD's pharmacy has 40 some waiting and the get 2 or 3 doses at a time, that is CVS. They said try Walmart, they transferred her scrip and they have a backlog of 50 and were getting 20 in. Doesn't sound good. I have a few extra and will share for DD than we are both out. Not sure what happens. The doc said they would try to find a substitute.

I am having doctor or hospital applications ask now the gender at birth instead of anything else.
Ok, off to the closing I go.
I survived last night but was 3AM before I could sleep. What a miserable night. Sure going to be way more careful on what I eat again. Processed foods are just not for me. I need to cook or be very very careful what I eat. The closer to fresh I can get, the better off I am.

Don't applaud me. I had to quit work early and my SS is screwed. Along with DD I have had to help care for my mom for years, was the main reason I had to quit work, a mom and DD to care for. Than my MIL came along and we spent 10 years dealing with her Alzheimers. What a life, had a bit of fun but not much along the way. Thankfully my husband got a job that for 15 years paid him extremely well. But in those 15 years he worked all over the world leaving me to care for all of this. The moms caring part you know will end eventually. But I am still not finished with the DD part and likely won't be at my death.
If this is the life you think people want you are crazy. And you can't believe the way these kids are cared for. I had to have DD in a group home situation 2 different times for her behavior, Williams can have real issues. Most of the adults have no teeth, cheaper to pull than fix. The clothing they had came from yard sales. We felt so bad one time hubs and I took all the kids in the group home and bought them shoes that actually fit. Yes volunteers gave them shoes but they didn't fit. They gave DD a new pair of 8's. She wears 8 1/2 XXwide, try to find those off the shelf. And it goes on and one. I even bought them some towels. Most of the young people there had nothing. I never saw one visitor other than me in the year she was there so how well do you think it was monitored.
And we want to sit a trust up for her, we have but are not going to put the amount in it we were. In talking to the rep payee stand ins, we find that the state will find a way to drain all that money. You have no idea the nightmare for these human beings. I could go on and on.
We will do what we can long as we can and still she is going to suffer. I figure with her health issues she won't last long after I die. And her life has been nothing but suffering and pain. Every birther should be MADE to take one of these babies and dedicate their life to them. You don't see that just make them be born and to hell with the rest.
There are insufficient homes now, insufficient money, insufficient care givers. Education that is not good for them or others. Only a few will benefit from the mainstreaming laws, everyone else and the kids will suffer. And you will find that people think they are cute when kids and are appalled by them as they grow up with all their issues. Makes for a lonely life.
The whole thing is a nightmare for everyone concerned, unless you are truly in the middle of it you have no idea.
I had to implement this slogan into my life to maintain my sanity. It's "you can be as happy as you want to be". And each time I get really down and depressed, I pull this saying back up and pull it around me.
Yes, I will go on long as I can but I will advise anyone to get an abortion if they can and I have and they did. The diagnosis these people had for the babies was devastating, much worse than mine. They saved their lives and the futures of their kids. Don't take this choice away from families, they need this. Oh and in the end most husbands abandon the wives and those children as they can't handle it. Mine has not, 55 years together but we are the rarity. Enough said Just understand abortion is needed more than ever.

This is what I knew was coming.
Hubs said this evening, I'm mowing tomorrow but I cannot lift the garage door to get the mower out. Our other garages have door openers but the back one does not. He is going to move it to one when done that has an opener. I can tell you that door is heavy, its all I can do to get it up and generally have him do it. But I know I have to, if I don't he will be trying to do it. I knew this day was coming out here.
And now with being sick tonight I have a nose bleed started. Also I have to go to town tomorrow to close on another house we sold, but that is a good thing. And I have all our paperwork to do and the care of everything on my back plus more work now.
And then I will have to load the mower one day and go to the last rent house to mow as he won't be able to lift the tail gate on the trailer up and down. There is about 3 acres there and with it so dry I will have to use googles and a respirator as the dust and stuff kills my eyes and allergies. That is one heavy sucker too. I have been telling him for the last year, we were waiting too long to downsize. We should have sold this house before the rates went up, could have gotten a better price out of it.
Yes, all this is making me nervous. And I'm tired just thinking about it. I think we are going to fail healthwise before all this can be done. Son said he will probably have to come down, but he can only take off so long at a time. He said he might have to ask for family leave. But his wife is facing some health issues too. She has been trying to get it taken care of for over a year. And I think she may have to have surgery. As many of you know when it rains it pours.
I'm going to try and go to sleep. Going to sleep in my recliner for awhile, I don't think I can go to bed right now anyway. Have my waste basket, towel, and tissues here. So night all.

You will see more moms like me. have a child with Williams Syndrone and medical issues. We are still caring for her, she is 52, I am 77. I'm tired but I know the care she will get is not going to be good, so we are keeping her long as we can. I am trying to get my husband to move to Washington state to be near our son. Not for him to personally supply her with care but just to oversee it so they know she has some human being in the world that cares for her. DIL will too.
So what happens to all the babies like her? When she was born they had no way of knowing if something was wrong. If I had know or been able to have a test telling me when I was just a few weeks pregnant, yes I would have done something. Now its even worse, there are millions of "kids" like her parents are still caring for. Indiana has all kinds of primary caregivers over the age of 80 still trying to care for them at home. My caseworker tells me there is a huge shortage of caregivers, they can't find enough. Indiana repubs don't want to pay anything even nursing homes are closing down with the boomers needing care. So we are going to have both hit at once. And now we want to add more like this. The hospitals are going to be overwhelmed, the state already is. The parents can't afford it, we are just fortunate we can.
I was depending on hubs to care for her longer as I have health issues. Well surprise a month or two ago we found out he has prostrate cancer. Yes, he had surgery but it turned out to be more invasive than the scans showed. So now here I am, 77, not fabulous health, caring for her and helping care for hubs too. We will know in 3 weeks if they got his PSA to 0. And that doesn't mean it is gone, the surgeon did what he can, 3 out of 6 lymph glands had cancer, he had removed those, the margins had cancer he burnt them. So not sure of the outlook we have. I don't tell him, I am being positive but personally I don't think it looks good. How long can I care for both?
All I'm saying is there is soooo much more involved in an abortion. There is all the future care and money needed to care for them. and yes there will be even more disabled babies because the states that are saying docs can do nothing or lose their livelihoods are also losing gyns and other docs. So care for moms is going to get worse. In Indiana they can go to Illinois for help but in the southern rural area we are in moms were coming to Indiana to be delivered. Now what happens. It's simple to say I don't believe in abortion. But you better damn well understand all the implications. Back to women dying in childbirth, look at the old cemeteries pre abortion. Babies dying at birth or living with horrible disabilites but probably not for long in many cases and dying with horrible suffering and pain. But oh yeah, make them have them, be damned for the aftermath. Anybody that votes repub needs to have their damned heads examined. To me this is a very hot topic and the future ramifications are going to be horrible if this becomes the law of the land. Watch out Hand Maidens Tale is almost here. Enough rambling, this topic really makes me hot.

Oh wow, I'm sick at my stomach but good. We had tamales from Sams Club for dinner. They were really good the first few packages, hubs and I both know after Walmart gets done with manufacturers after a few times the quality gets worse and worse. Well they have already, I ate 2 tonight and they have made me sick. I won't buy anymore and I hope I make it through the evening without throwing up. Yes, its that bad. And I'm belching like crazy. I took some Nausene, it helped a little, we must be out of Tums.
I think I need to put a nightgown on instead of pants around my waist. It's really not the thing to do right now.
Well hopefully it gets better, yuck.

I wish I could run. Have not been able to for many a year, too hard on my feet. I do need to get downstairs and walk on the treadmill and start using my weights again.
I keep thinking I need someone to clean my house. Well actually all I need is less stuff to clean around and it will be easy to take care of. I keep trying but see things that are "just to nice to get rid of" and put them back. I need to get over that mindset and just do it. I think it comes from my mom saving everything just in case we might need it.
House I'm looking for.
Big kitchen-eat in with bar. Mud room with w/d and closet or a shower and commode would be nice.
Master bedroom downstairs but preferably on one level.
A game room or bonus room for my hobbies
3 bedrooms or 4 if one if its a bonus room
Walk in closets for us and DD
Oversized garage for hubs or 3 car garage
On a 1/3 to 1/2 acre
I want to be in town or close to town, don't want to have to drive a long way as we age. Where delivery is available would be good too.
A covered patio would be nice but can live with just a patio/// Oh and I almost forgot a heat pump for heating and AC much cheaper to run
Plus items I wouldn't turn down, a greenhouse Fire pit Fenced yard Nice landscaping that is easy to maintain
What we will get? What has a decent price and hopefully only needs cosmetics to fix. Or who knows
Anyway I know what I want, but getting there is the BIG issue.

The last 2 boxes of clothing I put out ut those not picked up. And it either sprinkled some last night or we had a heavy dew. I'm going to pick them up and wash if needed and take them to Goodwill. I am not putting them back downstairs. Anything that leaves here is not coming back.
Today going through bank statements for our LLC again and matching up from credit card statements. Things kind of didn't get taken care of while I was gone this summer or not like I do. I have a dedicated business checkbook for our bills from there. I showed hubs where it was and he wrote checks out of some miscellaneous check book he found. I know little things but aggravating. He paid stuff from his account, our LLC account, cash, and our regular account. He has done this like always and its time consuming digging it all out. I will be very happy to be done with this stuff. Will still have DD's, but one I can deal with.
I don't know if hubs and I can survive using the same bedroom and bathroom right now. He wants the smaller bathroom light on so he can get to the bathroom quickly. The toilet seat up, and the bathroom door open. So the yard light is coming in, he needs it too, the door is open. I know one time I'm going to forget and sit on that toilet hard expecting the seat to be there and that will hurt. I know little things, but those little things grow in your mind after awhile.

It is beyond dry here, I cannot remember the last good rain we have had. It was good for the farmers getting crops out but they are pretty much done. Please rain.
I went by the power house lake again and have never seen mud flats in the north end of it before. The birds and egrets? are enjoying it but now its really drying up. We have now lived here 11 years and nothing like this before.
Ir must have drizzled a bit last night as the side walks are damp or maybe just humidity? But we need rain please.
We live in southwestern Indiana.

Nasty Woman, I don't mind paying the money if they are truly good. But I hear so many stories about how bad some are and people have paid a ton of money for them.

Yes I want to move out of here as soon as we can. I'm afraid hubs will get down and not be able to do all he does. I can't pick it all up and do it anymore. And he is not giving the renter a timeline to move. I know its not going to be easy but I want to get done and out of all this rental stuff. I can't shoulder everything again like I used to, plus I don't want to. Been doing it for too many years, I never did get to retire and still haven't.
I think he feels we can just go ahead and he will be fine. I can see me ending up with having to move and handle everything. I did a lot of that moving here, I'm not sure I could do it again.
Anyway I'm getting rid of stuff. Our garage looks pretty good this evening and I have emptied some more storage containers in the basement. I hope to do many more because 90% of that stuff is not going anywhere with us. We are going to get down to minimalist at least in the house. The rest I have no idea what to do with of hubs. But I have enough to do in here. It's getting better each time.
Hubs has been watching two different shows, one is called "Remedy" and the other is "Gotham City" a series we have not seen. I like both of them. So for a change we are both watching some shows we like.

None of the new ones they are building are one level, can you believe that?
Everything I put out there is gone. I filled 2 more boxes with clothing and put those out just now, so will see if they go.
I kept my clothes for years. I even moved some back from Texas I took to Texas!! A couple of years ago I finally gave all those away, they were too small. Now I"m giving away the too big ones. Probably will regret it. There are still lots down there. I cannot believe all the money I have spent for clothing, but I'm beating it down. We are not moving all this stuff.
We agree about the stairs, but finding one all level that we can afford or is way out will be a challenge. We don't want to have to spend all our money for a house, we want money left to enjoy what life we have left. Hubs said we could get one of those chair lifts. Might be ok for one flight, but not where you have to go around a corner and have another one.
We aren't doing anything now unless we find a heck of a deal we can't pass up. But those go quickly.

Hubs and I are considering something like this. He said no repairs, no nothing to fix will have a warranty. We will know more in a few months of how able he will be. This is close to the kids too. The HOA does the front yard, but I don't know, seems to much stuff done for us. And the new houses are selling for less than resales, man that would be the pits for people having to sell. Looks like less are going on the market up there too www.trulia.com/home/3243-64th-ln-sw-50-olympia-wa-98512-2054830870#:~:text=3243%2064th%20Lane%20SW%20Lot50%0AOlympia%2C%20WA%2098512We will know in 3 weeks if his PSA is 0. If not they are doing hormone therapy and I'm not sure if they will do radiation at that time. If they didn't get it all as aggressive as it seems to be, I don't know. We aren't even sure he will go for Christmas. His incontinence is a problem whether it will get better or not we have to see. He is trying to do the exercises, the therapist couldn't get to him till the 18th. They have one I guess that deals with mens issues. I told hubs think about talking to them about getting someone else as they said these are important. I told him I will stay home too, he said no, grandson will need one of us there.

I just went to the basement and loaded a whole container with size 16 jeans of mine. Than another box full of XL tops, they are all very nice items. I added some more cleaning products I don't use from the one tenant. Yes, it was unbelievable what she left, I have more!
I pitched a sweeper I have nursed for years and bought parts for, the motor finally quit so in the trash. I dumped it. I quit on messing with it, must be 15 or 20 years old. Got a free shark one from another tenant that moved. It's really heavy and a push around but I will manage and it works good.
Also put a nice floor lamp out there. I see more and more folks just giving stuff away, hard to sell it. So than I posted on our town forum free stuff and the sizes and said take some or all. It wasn't 15 minutes till someone was here going through it. I came in till there gone, don't want to embarrass people, some are.
I have a whole case of zinc canning lids from his mom, those I'm going to sell, you can still buy the rubber gaskets for them. Well than I think about it and may keep them for DIL. I think if I get up there we will be canning. I have not seen those since a kid. But you can use them forever.
Ok, may get some more stuff out of the basement. I cannot believe all the clothes I have. I've been giving them away for years. I need to just finish. If I gain weight will just have to get some new ones I guess. Right now around the house I'm living in sweats.

That's why we took the latest shots apparently there are some variations going around. Hopefully those will protect us.
My Smokey must be cold, why I don't know. But he was lying on a furnace vent not long ago, really? It's not even winter yet, now he is laying across my feet on a blanket, poor kitty.
And Tigger doesn't want to go in his room tonight, he is running from me. I really think he has gone in with hubs looks like the door is open. He is my kitty but he really likes hubs too. But hubs doesn't want him in the bedroom.
You know Pink, I bet you and Mister would both sleep better if the dogs slept elsewhere. My last kitty slept with me and I didn't realize how she wore me out until after she passed. She did disturb my sleep every night. Sweet Smokey piles in bed with me early in the morning when hubs gets up and I'm always afraid I will roll on him, so I kind of wake up every time I move from than till I get up. It does disturb the rest of my sleep.

I think we will have a small ham for Thanksgiving. Maybe mashed potatoes, noodles, a green veggie, and of course a desert. I'm not cooking much, don't want days of leftovers. Or some mac and cheese or deviled eggs, DD loves them.
We are looking a little further out in Washington from sons. Finding houses for less, that's an expensive area. I found a couple I loved, both needed cosmetic things. Like new flooring, paint, and countertops. Think the old very bright orange of the 60's and a laundry room with avocado floorng, ugh. But the price was $275k, I loved it. Of course first time I saw it and it was pending, where do they hide those?? The other needed a bathroom redone. It had been lovely but tracks of fluids on the carpet and the remains of a chair lift on the stair. But like hubs said we could stay in either one or work from the modular we have but would have somewhere to put our furniture and his tools. Both on 1/2 acre which is enough hubs said and the taxes were reasonable. I know we have to be there and act quick if we get something like those. One sold for $100k less, likely to close an estate. But those are the only 2 like that I have seen that I liked and were in good condition otherwise. I think they come up rarely.
I get so tired of being patient with hubs until he is ready to do something, I'm going to die waiting. I have waited my life away, not too many more years left. And we have no idea really about his situation. I'm just trying to be patient and kind for him but unlike before where I felt good about his condition. Not so much more now.

And I LOVE cats. I am thankful we don't have lots of strays here or I would be so tempted and hubs would just have a fit. We have never had 2 animals in the house before and believe I clean a bit all the time so he won't see hair all over. They do make extra work, but I love them to pieces.
Tigger and I went around today, I finally got his claws trimmed. He hates it. He really wiggles and pulls to get loose, he doesn't bite or scratch but everything else to get loose. In trying to get a big old dew claw, I got it in the skin and it left enough of a place that it hurts. But he is done for awhile, next is his flea dose, just as bad.

Luckily our fridge is easy to pull out. And there is a cardboard panel at the bottom in the back. I take the screws out than can use the long fridge brush to clean the coils. I was telling son about it and he doesn't think his is like that, hard to get to. It's time for me to do it again, the fan sucks in cat hair and gets quite a lot so I do it every few months.
I was just thinking all my ceiling fans need cleaned as does the overhead lights. That's something I have to look forward too. Haven't cleaned them in several months. Not one of my favorite things up there with dusting.
I got my papers sorted and a lot of items matched up. But hubs must have receipts in his truck, I hope, as I'm missing quite a few. But now I'm ready to load in Quickbooks and get everything reconciled.
It's after 2, time for me to go to bed. I'm watching a scary movie and think I'm going to turn it off. It's giving me the creeps tonight.

Hubs feels fine, but tonight he showed me his side. This is where they went in with the equipment, it has a bulge. I felt it and it does, it is not hot to the touch, the incision is dry and looks good and no weeping. But it does seem like a bulge that should not be there. We will watch it and see what it looks like by Monday. If its bigger or hot need to call for an appt.
He had had 2 hernia repairs in the past and they said that could be a problem but did not indicate it was.
I got my living room floor mopped and DD's bedroom and vacced the kitty room. My robot must have done well as not much cat hair. Also vacced the area rug in the dining room.
Got the Halloween decorations packed except for the 2 wreaths so will bag those tomorrow.
Dinner was pretty good, pork tenderettes, gravy, steamed carrots, and fried potatoes. I just ate some meat, carrots, and gravy with bread, and not much of any, wasn't really hungry.
I just sorted down the years receipts for the LLC, not as much this year. Going to print out my statements and match them up. That's going to be it for tonight. I'm also watching telly while doing this, but haven't found a program I like yet.
We are aways from the train that runs through but I think the sound carries on the river so I'm hearing some honking tonight. A little different from normal, wonder what it means. I'm sure it means something to the train guys.
The kitties are funny, Smoke usually doesn't go in the bedroom for the night when Tiggy does. But some nights Tigger starts crying, when he does, Smoke will go to the door and want in. He did that tonight and Tigger stops. I think he gives in too easy to his brother, LOL!
Ok ready to start printing out bank statements, I have about 6 months printed out so far.

Son calls us a lot of times while driving home on I 5 from Fort Lewis to his home. He said traffic just backs up everywhere at times. I understand why he likes to work from home. Seems like he is now going in 3 days a week.

Yes, we haven't gotten any EOB's yet, too early, but I imagine we will in November.
I finally got busy, its says 54 out but the wind is blowing some and its cold. I had on warm clothes, especially on my ears. If I don't and my ears get cold its like ice picks into my head, the pain is awful. And ended up with gloves too.
I loaded all the trash after clearing the house cans and what was in the garage. Went and got the mail. I got the small tractor mower out with wagon and hauled it to the dumpster. I also filled the blower with gas and put it back in the garage.
I got Halloween decorations down and brought all those into the garage. I am going to box them in 2 boxes and label them as these are the ones I'm going to keep and my door wreaths. I have wreaths for quite a few holidays I put out, I like them. And I rolled all the extension cords up and put them in the flower beds so hubs can mulch leaves, I figure I will use them for Christmas so why put them up.
Hubs carried in 4 containers of pods I ordered and I fussed at him. He said oh they aren't heavy. I looked at the containers and it was a total over 12 pounds, he is not supposed to lift over 5, grrrrr. But overall he is being good. The really heavy stuff is when I empty the 2 litter boxes, almost more than I can get in the wagon but I did, need to use my muscles so a good thing.
Got some pork tenderettes out of the freezer to thaw earlier today. Going to have those with fried potatoes and likely steamed carrots and maybe some biscuits. Hubs said no gravy for him today but make some for DD. She loves gravy so I will.
But I came in to get warm and rest up a bit before I even think about dinner more. I have clothes to fold also.
