DIL and I finally found little guy some shoes. My son doesn't believe we can't find them. A clerk at Dicks Sporting Goods helped us.
We got 2 slip ONS, hard to get on but they will loosen. He is a size 4.5 and so wide it was past the E on the width. He said soon at he gets a little bigger we can get wide widths for him. It is almost impossible to get him shoes, these just happen to have a wider toe box.
Little guy is doing really well in school. DIL said when she met with his teacher this year, she said you do know your son is a genius don't you? She said I didn't know what to say. Here last year the teacher said he was disruptive and such and he kept saying he was bored. I knew he was smart but a genius, really?
But then he and I had a discussion about Pangea on the way home. And he showed me the formulas he is working on figuring out, I have no idea what they are. He is learning tons from utube, but also some not so good things so they have to watch him. His curiosity knows no limits. I asked how much of this he was learning from school, he said lots of it is from other sources. But I think he is having some problem relating to some of his classmates, but he has friends. And if he continues having good teachers he will do well. But I'm not sure this is the school for him. But our little genius still can't tie his shoes, LOL! And he is still just a kid.
I'm going to do some work on tightening this place up. This window air conditioner through the wall is likely causing cold air in here. I covered the inside and out side with covers. But I'm going to take the inside cover off and stuff it with insulation. Next summer if hubs doesn't take it out I am, and cover and block up, inside and out, the hole and insulate it.
I'm also going to make some covers for the bathroom vents, these are older ones and have nothing inside to stop heat from going out. Will look at the kitchen vent over the stove too. I grew up living in older homes and we used all kinds of means to make them warmer, just haven't had to do that sort of thing in many a year. I think this may be what this needs. It's pretty comfy everywhere in here except the living room and by that kitchen stove. I know it won't make it worse so we will see what I can do.

If you have some water stained drywall try spraying it with hydrogen peroxide. A guy told me you can do that on trailer ceilings and I did, it took care of the water stains. So worth a try.
Hubs sprayed the outside with bug killer. He said he bought inside spray for the inside, apparently he did not air it out. It's already giving me a headache. I really didn't want it sprayed on the inside of the modular. Anyway I turned on the kitchen stove vent for awhile and that is helping.
He had turned off the heat in here so it was 50, its up to 64 now in about an hour, but I need to turn on a vent fan and that will suck out the warmth to get the smell out. I don't know why he turned it off when he knew we were coming up in a week. DD put on warm jams and tucked into bed. I took a hot shower and heated my jams in the dryer plus put my electric blanket on my bed, she didn't want hers.
Little guy wanted to stay tonight but his mom said wait till tomorrow. Like she said we don't even have food to make a meal. I promised him I will get him tomorrow.
He and I discussed school, tornadoes, hurricanes, and Pangaea on the way home. He and I talk about all kinds of things, I love talking to him, interesting little boy, reminds me of me when I was little.
Even though the plane was an hour late leaving we got up here ok. But that touch down was a bit hard, think they were in a hurry. They almost backed away from the gate before everyone was seated, flight was mainly smooth, hit a bit of turbulence but not bad.
About ready to hit the sack. I found a can of pineapple to nibble on, that hit the spot.

Hubs picks up his dirty clothes and puts them in the hamper. Since we both have colored clothes and whites, I do 2 loads most days. I will strip the beds and wash the linens, he will make up the beds.
He takes out the trash daily. And if I ask he will clean the litter boxes. When I'm gone, he takes good care of the cats. I asked today if he wanted me to wash the sheets on our beds, he said he will do it. I told him DD's needs it too and her blankets. He is going to change the furnace filter and add water softener salts.
He gets up earlier than me so feeds the kitties and DD. She takes her bath and puts her dirty clothes in the laundry room. I do wash her hair and brush her teeth. Hubs will likely vac and mop before we get home.
He cleans his truck but doesn't do as good a job inside so I will do it once in awhile.
He takes care of all the equipment, repairs, and lawn now except my landscaping across the front. I take care of most of the paperwork, but I am encouraging him to get more involved so he knows, what and where things are, he has.
So we each do a lot but he will even iron his clothes if need be. He will help with things like sitting the table if I ask and if I feel bad will fix meals for he and DD.
He said when he first retired and I was complaining. You go ahead and do all this stuff if you just ask I will help. I was used to doing it, but didn't take long for me to ask.
I do most of the cooking but again if I don't he will find something to eat. So I really can't complain too much.
Ok, need to fix my hair and DD's finish packing and get ready. We are going to eat something on the way to the airport. I am fixing DD and I a ham sandwich each, some little tomatoes, a cuke, and some apple slices to eat on the plane. That food you buy just isn't good, wish it were.

Here is one that would serve our needs but its in Centralia at 128 Joppish Road, 98531. It is very nice, has been redone. Says chance of flooding in future, but they had a bad flood there a year or so ago so makes one wonder if that was when it was redone.
We just have to wait till we sell and the waiting is getting tiring.

Yes, we are pretty much reconciled to $500k for anything decent. Lots of flooding around Centralia, so have to be careful there. I really want to stay in the Tumwater, Olympia area. We will see how Dd's medicaid goes, and what hubs tests reveal the 15th. If he continues to have cancer we may just stay in the modular we bought, add a small building for me, and add on to the carport shed for him. If he is ok, then a house may be an option. And we still have to sell this darn place. Our tenant is moving forward to preparing to move the mobile, everything time wise keys on that. Hubs said he is trying to do it. So hoping by July 1 we can get it cleaned and get stuff ready to move. When I get back I'm going to clean, pitch, and pack.

Got a call back from the home org and they said only 2 to a modular. She said its because the septic system is only rated 2 per site. I'm thinking its to keep people like us bringing in an adult child with issues. But that's ok, its a done deal.
Yes, we could handle the expense for a year or so, but I would rather not.
So we will continue on, I'm just tired and want to get this move over with.

Knee Deep, you do not own the land there. You buy a membership and have a 99 year lease to it, so reduces the rent to the maintenance charge of $408. But I want to make sure that membership is in the price and not additional, if it is not interested. I, hubs, and son are all talking about what to do, none of us has the answer. Hubs said he would build me a catio as pets are on leashes only there, so that is not an issue. And I know the kids want Tigger, but what to do. I am really conflicted right now. I just want to move and get it over with, but I also don't want to make a mistake.

Well, I am sad. The realtor was going to show me the property Saturday. She sent me the bylaws at my request and after reading through them, can't do it. It states only 2 residents per property, so with DD, no go. I will call and ask the property directly tomorrow, but I doubt they make any exceptions. Too bad, looked and sounded like a really nice place.
We can meet the income requirements, have to have a min of a certain amount of income and a background check, passed that for the one we are in now. 3 years of tax returns and proof of last 5 years of renting or ownership. And we would have paid cash.
Oh well, will continue looking. Just don't want to have to spend over $500k to get a house, sigh.

I have been watching the raccoons in the back yard. They are getting wise, they come earlier and earlier looking for scraps. And looks like some younger ones as they can't fight off the big older ones. All I had tonight was some carrots and looks like that one didn't like carrots, surprised me. I saw them hanging around the porch watching later. They are pretty but they are also very mean.
One of the reasons we like that park is the park is owned by the home owners. Sounds like they buy a 99 year lease, have to check into all that. I pulled up some of the covenants of the organization. It's pretty dense, hubs said he likes the idea of no yard to maintain. I don't know, I like grass and trees. He said make sure that is what I want as we won't be able to buy another if we get it. Up there they sell so fast you really don't have time to think about it much. But its just a few blocks to all the stores, restaurants and everything. And maybe a couple miles further from the kids is all. They allow pets with restrictions, but I'm thinking we might have to build a catio for them. At least hubs would have a garage to putter in and they have parking for vehicles like his tool trailer in their storage lot. Garage is way to small but if son can ever get one built that will help. And it's all on one level. We are both rather excited about it. But most of all we like the price.

I think that has happened in our small towns The husband dies and the wife can barely survive then, so they eat, buy meds and pay utilities if they can and taxes. They just have money for nothing else, so houses that can be saved are then beyond repair. We have bought a few really let go, but there is a limit on what we would fix, but have saved several of them.

We may be looking at doing some things differently, not sure. Hubs told me yesterday that he gets really tired after working for 15 minutes or so. He had never said anything to me before. I asked him when this started, he said well its been going on for awhile. He said I have to sit down and rest than can go again. I knew he was taking a nap or a break and a snooze sometimes. I said have you seen your new heart doc, he said I don't till this fall. I said well you can call and move up the appointment. He said he gets tired and dizzy, I told him could be heart or sugar level too low, we can check both. Or his blood pressure to low. When I get home I'm moving his appointment up for us to go see him.
I'm not thrilled with my new one, I called to get my metroprolol refilled and no response. This new one said nothing about changing my meds. I have a larger pill I can cut for the time I'm gone so will have to see him too it looks like. I will try to call his nurse, I checked at Walmart today and no refill.
Anyway this place has come up for sale. I told hubs we could pay for it now and buy it. It's closer to stores and everything up there and handy to son and DIL too. But its in another over 55 park. Pretty dense but has a small garage for hubs and is 400 sq ft bigger than what we have with hardly any yard. But like I told him in 10 years we will be 88, in 5, 83 are we going to be able to do much? We just don't know. This one is almost 1600 SQ ft. If its still for sale this weekend I'm going to go see it. Hubs said just realize we won't go buy a house if we buy it. I understand that. The lot rent is only $408 a month and taxes $1000 with water, sewer, trash, and cable furnished. and it has 3 bedrooms and a nice kitchen with new cabinets and a garage. Though the garage may be small. I told hubs then we could afford to keep his folks house till we move or dispose of the stuff we may keep. I said before, all I want is DD and I's clothes, greatly reduced. My sewing stuff and a bit of canning equipment and jars. The rest of mine is disposable. If we only pay $200k for something we could completely refurnish the house with new except for our bedroom suites, I like them and one is already up there. We have 2 places in town that could resale our furniture.
Here is the address: 716 Dennis Street, Lot 51, Tumwater, Wa 98501. We both kind of like the looks of it.

I picked up misc stuff and put it in the car trunk. Hubs carried a big box of books upstairs and put it in the car so more things to go when I run to town.
I talked to son a bit, he is somewhere in northern Arizona, almost out of cell range on a 2 hour drive to another National Guard post. He said he hadn't been to some of these yet, so will be busy.
Hubs put a new battery in the Davis Weather Center in the yard and some ant stuff he said that were in it.

My husband has prostrate cancer. He was diagnosed and within a couple of months had surgery, was still positive so take hormones and just completed 37 weeks of radiation. That was finished April 17th, May 17th goes back for new PSA, will know the results two days later. His surgeon is very fast and aggressive. We are concerned as he had 15 biopsies all positive. Is in the bladder neck and lymph glands was also in the fringes, so we hope they got it. They also removed 6 lymph nodes. Will know soon, good healthcare here in semi rural Indiana. We have good healthcare through Medicaid and Plan G supplement.
I meant to say through Medicare and his supplement G, I have supplement F. Our DD has medicare and Medicaid, not us.

I ate the bean soup which was so good, but now my stomach isn't real happy. Not quite sure why, maybe the pepperoncinis I ate with it. It never bothers me so who knows, oh well, this too will pass.
I'm tired and really need to go to bed.
We need to get rid of 2 houses and get down to 1 sooner than later. Just paid out another $2k on ours for insurance. You never really own anything.

Your redo is very pretty, I really like it. We have a front porch we don't use much because of bugs and mosquitoes. I do use our screened in back porch and the cats do too, it is nice. Today beautiful again and doors and windows open. My Smoke has been in and out but Tigger went out earlier today and haven't seen him. He is either asleep or hunting. He is the big heavy guy but he is the one I expect to head to the woods, Smoke stays up by the house and hunts in the landscaping.
I had ham sandwiches and macaroni and cheese for dinner. It's a good tasting ham. I also made pinto bean soup for tomorrow, but I wanted soup so had it. When I started it I put in some pepper, got the wrong side of the big container and must have poured a half cup in it. I rinsed it quite a few times, couldn't have all of that, don't think we could have eaten it. But when it was done, still had a lot of pepper. I started eating it and it was the best bean soup I have ever eaten. Intend to make cornbread with it tomorrow, with my ground popcorn cornbread. Might make it tonight. I get hungry for these just every so often.
My fridge is cleaned out except for a few items, before I go I will put them in the blessing box. It's eggs and maybe the half gallon of milk, need to see if hubs will use it, some lettuce and cabbage.
Kitties food is coming tomorrow as is the case worker for DD so our meeting won't be late on his calendar, wouldn't have made it if we left last week.
I'm getting ready to look at paperwork, not all that much, but some.

Our house is big enough there is no clutter setting around. I think sometimes you can have too big of a house.
My mom was organized and spotless, she valued every little thing she had. They had been poor and did not add much except occasional new curtains and things like that. I was so scared when I was little that I would break something. At our house that was a major issue. I was very stressed by that so was super careful. I would really get in trouble. We had the same bedroom stuff and she had it later. We were going to take one of the sets and it literally fell apart. She did get all new living room furniture one time and had it for the rest of her life. They had a lot of work done on their house so it was really nice after I grew up. But she had old stuff all over, not worth anything that we had to haul off and trash. It was a job to clean her house out.
I am not doing th at and we are not moving all this stuff. Depending on what we have to pay for a house and what we get out of ours, in the back of my mind new couch, new recliner for hubs. Maybe bedroom set for DD, maybe. And there are a lot of little tables and cabinets we are not taking. I will keep at it, but not much today, giving the feet a day off.

We think we will give my Buick Envision to DIL when we move. I've pretty much decided to keep the one I have. It's a Chrysler 300, 2018 but only has 58k on it. The other is a 2020 and has more miles but its a real step up on cars from her 2017 SUV. I told son they could sell hers or sell both and get a new one, or sell hers and put the money toward his garage or whatever. I like the car, but I like this one too, so we will see. I have her drive it all the time when I'm up there anyway and she really likes it. So we will see. Both cars are pretty luxurious with leather seats and bells and whistles. But that's down the road a bit, lots of other things to be done.
At least hubs is realizing there are not that many really nice houses on the market here so is realizing that we have a good market. Just how much will it sell for. That's the key. And then we will have 2 more places to sell, should net $100k from one maybe $80 from the other. Again time will tell.
I just want a nice size kitchen, and either a 3rd bedroom or bonus room. Hubs just wants enough room for a garage and small lawn, .25 to half an acre will work. Oh and we want a one story, but that is not a deal breaker, but certainly won't be our first choice. I saw one yesterday, but needed work. Hubs said he can do it but slow. We need to wait till May 17th to see what his PSA is, if its not good, then how to move forward. I'm very concerned, he is still doing his kegels and walking a mile a day. Very good for him.
So nervously waiting.

Son called he is driving this morning between bases. I learn more about the military all the time, he doesn't just do army, but air force, and others. Orders and coordinates a lot of stuff I will say. So he said the next few months he is pretty busy, said all this needs done in 2025, but he wants it done early.
His dad is going to take the boat up after I get home so while grandson and his mom are in Russia, he may have a chance to do some fishing. I hope so. It's not a fancy pontoon boat but its nice. And like he said he might be able to find some nice seating for it up there. It had been completely redone and hubs has done more to it. We have an awning and stuff for it. Hubs doesn't like to fish so me getting to use it was rare. I sold my newer boat a couple of years ago and used the money to pay for the hard wood flooring. But hubs wants to see grandson one more time before he goes on his trip too. He is worrying about them going over there, me too.
He is going to measure our carport up there and if its tall enough he can leave the boat there. Hubs is taking the material for a real nice carport up there for him but not till he takes a load of furniture. So likely after we buy a house. But it has to be taken down for the guy to get the mobile home out. So he is starting on things too. Lots and lots of work ahead for us.
We have not had heat or cooling on for several days. It's 66 out and 74 in here so pretty nice.
I need to eat something and get to work or take a nap. At least there is sun today.

MPL, seems like your son just started college, I can't believe he is out already, my how time flies. Sounds like he is going to get his masters too? Smart kid to do that and not let life get in the way. My son chose not to do it. I tried to get him too but he said he didn't need it. Guess he didn't, but I would have had it anyway. I'm listening to all of you on here and daily I am shocked as to how you guys talk about little ones, then next thing you know they are all grown. Seems like my kids took forever to grow up, LOL! I've been on here a long time. I remember back about MPL's marriages so that says how long and many others good times, and trials, and tribulations, I have an am enjoying it. Makes me feel like I have a family, only one I don't have to personally deal with, I have another box of books ready to go and some more fabric, but might be the last for awhile. I told hubs anything coming up out of that basement is not going back down. Like he said that is the problem with basements getting the stuff back up. I cut out the dress tonight, a lot of work as the way its made and only 45 inch material I had to cut each piece twice, to fit it. I needed some yellow for the sleeves and wouldn't you know I found a bolt of matching yellow for that. So did those in yellow and will do all the facing in yellow too. I like things contrasted like that. It's called buttercup yellow and just match. I will either make a belt or buy one, but I think I have a belt kit down there, have to check. The challenge tonight was my stinkin' cats. I kept them out of the basement till the last time I went down. Dear old Smokey likes to help, so he plopped right in the middle of the pattern pieces I had pinned on. If that isn't bad enough then he starts pulling out the straight pins, he loves to do that. I have to keep them in covered boxes and off the floor as I'm scared to death he will swallow one or get it stuck in his mouth. He was not happy with me, he fussed and acts like he will bite, he never does, but he wanted to stay there. I took him off about 4 times and he finally went upstairs. So now I'm ready to cut, I turn around and Tigger is up there, just happily pulling pins out. He does listen though only had to tell him twice to get down. So I got it all cut out. Tomorrow will cut the interfacing and iron it in. I will sew on it some at night but likely wont get much done. I will take it to Washington and finish it. Wish I had my Janome Memory Craft machine up there, but I have my old Kenmore one that does a great job. I like the buttonholes it makes as well as the other one. It's just my newer machine and my serger have walking feet they are called. What it does is push the fabric through from the top and bottom so it stays together. That really helps if you are matching plaids or designs, but I can do it without, just a bit more work and attention needed. I have been up and downstairs so many times today I'm beat. My legs are getting stronger doing it and I know its good for me, but by days end, my puppies are howling. The poor old feet tonight are not happy. DD had a mishap last night so I had to wash her linens, pad and mattress pad. I was fixing her something to eat so she asked dad to put on her clean linens, I think she had too much liquids a bit too late. She has been doing really well. The dear old sweety did, that really helped. He told her he would if she didn't fuss at him. I don't know what that is about. Tomorrow I plan to go through paperwork and make sure I have all the insurance paid, I know I do the property taxes. Also fill out a bene change form I printed out on his 401k, I sent the other in. And also I need to wash her hair, do her nails as they are too long again and I see some scratched places. I also need to dip litter boxes, will change them Thursday before I leave so hubs doesn't have to do anything right away. I think I have enough food ordered for them too. And looks like enough litter. So things are moving along.

Going back down and finish cutting out the dress pattern, it has gore's in the skirt. I'm a bit short of that fabric so can find or get a yellow to use for the sleeves, lining, beltit will look nice. I'm not sure I have any yellow and if I do, where it is right now. I will have to baste it first to see if this size fits. I haven't sewn much of anything since losing weight, so its all different now Will have to make one pattern to see how true to size it will be.
Have our pills ready to go, not taking much clothing, just pills, makeup, couple pair of shoes for each of us and a couple of outfits. I don't remember what we have up there but I think we are ok. Also taking a lunch, fruit, and maybe a sandwich, I do not like airline food and we will need something to nibble on.
Need to go through mail, clean the fridge out, I have cat food ordered. Clean the litter boxes, won't take long to do that stuff. Leaving Friday for Washington.
Fixing DD something to eat, then back downstairs.

All my books but maybe 20 or so I have not read are going, not a problem. I plan on one box of books to go.
I'm going to try a yard sale when I come back, Christmas items, decorator items, seasonal stuff. We have new Xmas stuff at the house in Washington. I had a white tree I loved, it got old and flaky. Would change each year, one year blue, On purple, one red, one blue. I love that stuff. I just couldn't find another like it I felt like I could afford even on sale.
Going to sell about all the stuff on the shelves in that store room. I will post some online on sales sites locally like the older robot sweeper, shredder, misc stuff in that room. Also the rest of the clothes of DD and mine down there will go. Only our summer things will be left.
The things I really want to keep are my sewing machines, patterns and things. More fabric is going to go. It's such quality stuff I found on sale, I hate to let it go, but I'm hoping a lot of quilters will enjoy it. I'm cutting a dress out this afternoon. Hubs said when is the last time you wore a dress. I said its been awhile, but in Washington you can wear most anything and fit in. I do like all the different clothing I see up there. So why not, I have plenty of fabric, LOL! Here you see the church women in skirts, they all seem to wear those blue jeans skirts, nothing stylish or pretty.
I'm also keeping my major canner and maybe 6 dozen jars, I'm selling the rest and a lot of my kettles, If they don't sell will set them by the road, they will go. I've got the good out of them for over 20 years, so no waste there. And one case of freezer containers. I have already greatly reduced the items in that storage area a lot. Cleaned out all the old food. I had stocked a lot for covid.
And our neighbor will take a lot for their church yard sale, so maybe some hope.

I don't know if I will ever get this place decluttered. I have another big box of books to go and found 2 more, sigh. I took 2 bags off today.
Took another pile of fabric off and I washed one load. I have went through quite a bit that is not dirty or anything, unfolded a bit to check and just packed some back for me and more into the go pile. The guy at the free store said they are just putting out part of the fabric at a time. I'm sure the reason is someone will just grab it all and they want others to have a chance to get some.
I look at that room and just don't know how this is going to end. 1/3 of our bedroom is covered with zipper bags, big ones full of fabric. Haven't touched patterns, bolts of stuff or notions. I'm beginning to think its hopeless. Probably be here a year from now sorting stuff.
Ok, pulling more from the dryer and drying DD's bedding. Downstairs a bit then have to fix hubs dinner.

Trip to town for meds, have everything for our trip! My ozempic I could not get yet, but they said I can pick it up at Walmart in Olympia when this one runs out, so good deal.
DD and I had lunch at Subway, one of her favorites. I had a roast beef, #17 as they prepare it, it was very good.
I dropped off more fabric, the guy at the free store said they just put some of it out at a time. I'm sure so more people can get some instead of one person taking it all. I told him embarrassingly I had more and had even taken a bunch to Goodwill.
I unloaded 2 more garbage bags of books, and have another big box. Taking them to Goodwill as there are a lot of series in there people can get.
I said I think I have the books out of the basement. then it dawned on me, aren't there books in the bedroom down there? He said yep 2 boxes, I think those are some I bought from the lady that was moving and couldn't take hers. Quite a few of those likely have not been read. Maybe I can get down to 1 larger box.
Going through fabric again, almost have 3 cabinets cleared, I am looking this stuff over, if no evidence of mice, pecans, or stains I'm not washing the fabric. Going to cost more than its worth. I have only seen one piece so far that have markings where its been folded, hope that is true.
I'm going down stairs and iron some shirts and pants for hubs. The way folks here are dropping like flys he made need to go to a funeral while I am gone and he needs to looks neat. He ruined the toe of his good, expensive boots last time
Steam generator is on some better go down and get busy. We have a 60 inch telly down there so going down and watch telly, iron, and may cut out a couple of patterns to take with me.
Later all!

Tonight all we had was link sausages with gravy and bread. It was pretty good.

I'm shaky, my own fault, hubs and I had a DQ. Hubs wanted to know if I wanted one and I got a milk shake should have eaten something this morning. Now it will take me a bit to get ok again. Haven't done that for awhile.
I packed up 2 sacks of books and have them in the trunk of the car. There are about 13 I'm keeping. There is one more box on top of the bookcase down there to go through them I'm done with books downstairs. I still have more to go through upstairs but some are cookbooks
We have 2 masonic bibles, one of hubs and one of his dads, I think there is another here that is my dads, they were all masons. Hubs also belongs to the Scottish Rite. Not quite sure what to do with them now.
I am on my 3rd load of fabric to wash. The critters really had a feast on one shelf of pecans so washing all of that. When I get through I will be down to the last cabinet. Of course then I can start on all the shelves. I kept a lot but I sure got rid of a lot also. I hated to but just had to be done.
I was going to pack up a bunch of canning jars, but need to at least finish these cabinets first. One thing at a time. I bet I have 6 to 10 dozen I can let go. We can always buy more if needed. I am keeping a case of freezer containers, its never been opened.
Just so much to do and its going to take me months. And here I am leaving for 40 days, probably not the best time, but going to do it anyway, this stuff won't go anywhere it will still be here waiting for me.
I bought some type of orthotic. It's a band that goes around under the arch and has a soft big bump on it made to raise the arch. For me I have big bumps that are the huge callouses under the arch now, so I move these on the outer side a bit and it levels the bottom of my foot. This takes the pressure off that big painful callous. This makes it a lot more comfortable to walk on. I hope it stays this way. I haven't tried it in all my shoes just sandals, sure has helped. They are called Strutz and available at Walmart.

I went ahead and ordered little guy the Oyla magazine. Like hubs said he can read anything and he is way above his grade level on reading so why not? It will be one of his birthday presents, a bit pricey $84 a year. Apparently it's rather new as you can buy copies from 2020 forward. He is interested in all the type of science, space, and everything so we will see how it goes.
It doesn't sound interesting but I'm also buying him a good electric toothbrush instead of the kiddie ones. The head is small so he can use it.
Now I need to think of a couple of fun things for him and will likely take him to his favorite place for lunch, Subway, unless he wants to go elsewhere. He sure didn't want to see grandpa leave. Little guy has a soft heart. He is all excited that DD had gotten a wheelchair/walker so we can take her more places. Will make it easier on me too. I can just see him wanting to push her around. Got to love that little boy. Whoever knew we would have a grandson that likes his aunt. I hope it continues, once we get there I think he will as he will be used to her so don't see that much difference.
The tractor was out there at midnight and when he was done at 1 he started another field across the road. We can't tell if they were spraying or planting. Those tractors are massive anymore and can go around these big fields in short order. Just extremely unusual to see that now. When they had smaller tractors they had to do that but not now. Also they are so big, they have to be careful.
The wind here is really strong today, we have the windows open airing out the house. It's 77 out. I wish I had the 2 basement windows cleaned, I may go down and do that and air it out too, they have never been open down there. The windows are in a store room area so I've never cleaned or opened them. Need to make sure I can.
And I am so happy to have a home with a dry basement. Our 1st old, little house would flood every once in awhile. I think mainly because we had a well next to the wall and it would get too fall in huge downpours. It was a mess to clean.
I haven't done a lot today. I couldn't sleep last night and must have been 2 or later but when I did, I slept well after that. Hubs said he didn't and I know he was tired, probably the time change.
I sorted all our pills out and ordered what we need for 40 days so that is done. I think DD and I are just taking 2 little carry ones, if we need clothes up there can buy some. Hubs said its not going to be very warm so I don't think we will need shorts.
I just saw a turkey in the yard, he wasn't scared and he was pretty, kind of bronze colored feathers on his back and by his tail. Since he had color I assume its a male. We see them all over in the field behind us but not in the yard. Pretty bird.

Wow, hubs came in from the bedroom, he said I kept seeing flashing lights behind the house in the field so he got up to see. There is a huge tractor back there disking. We don't think they would be planting at night but who knows. It's been years since I have seen farmers working at midnight in the fields. Hubs said they want all their crops in the ground by May 1 and they sure haven't made it this year. It's been a frenzy of plowing and planting around here the last couple of weeks, but midnight, very late. And that thing has lights you would believe, lit up like a Christmas tree.

I'm glad to have hubs home too. He may watch TV instead of listening or outside working but I know he is here for me if I need him. That is a good feeling.

I decluttered nothing today. I did laundry, cooked, and kicked back for a bit. Then I went to the grocery and did dinner, that is it. I was tired from yesterday and I really need to go to bed early tonight.
I need to check the weather, its 73 outside but 75 in here, need to see if we need the AC, the heat, or nothing, I have a door open right now.
Hopefully tomorrow I can get back down to the basement and pull more stuff out. I did good last week, when hubs is home and added laundry plus cooking really slows me down.

Sounds like your well could be sanding in. In Houston we had a very old well and we noticed it was pumping more and getting more sand in the water. I had another drilled about $7,000 and we had a submersible pump put in it. The other had to have the air bled off at times. So we were going to just use it for watering the garden and things and the new one for the house. There the water table had dropped a lot we were near the Woodlands and they were sucking water out of the acquifer like crazy. We had to go for lower water, the other tasted wonderful this stuff did not. I think this is happening all over. Not saying that is your problem but if you start getting sand, could be sucking it in instead of water, or if you have an old style pump could be the foot valve needs to be replaced and they have to pull the pipe to do that.
So many different issues can happen with wells. I really hope we find a place with city water, I really don't want to have to deal with that in our old age.
