I wish someone would tell me why I have trouble posting on this site. I suspect it is probably an issue with my software, browser, and java, but things constantly lock up, the browser starts mad scrolls that I can't stop without exiting the board, and several other issues. It only happens on this board and I've found no trouble shooting info to help with the problem.

I don't know if this has been requested but I would love to see a board for home/life organizing.

horatiolegrand-I noticed you recently posting on the Everything Else board. You may have noticed by now that it is not too serious of a board. You may want to try reading and posting on some of the other boards associated with this ProBoards site. There are some serious discussions.

Horatio-it is not going to be any different here. There is no censorship of silly comments regardless of subject matter.

Give it time, Horatio. This is a work in progress and improvements will take time. (Sam)

I noticed that when deleting now a message is left "this message has been deleted" but before when I deleted the entire message was deleted and the numbers would go back 1 has that been changed or can I still delete my message?
I would like to delete my message without leaving a trace.

hampton-the way you described it above was how deleted posts were handled initially. But it was decided to leave a place marker that a post was once there as other posts often times referenced a particular post # that may have occurred after your original post. This screwed up posts referencing other post #s (as you note it would go back 1).
The system will note a deleted post. What you might request is the user's name be deleted out of the post along with the deleted message yet still leave a place marker. I do not know if that is possible. Moonbeam might look into to see if it is possible along with deciding whether or not the poster's name should be removed in the first place.

oldtex had the request elsewhere that some names like Obama and Palin be added to the dictionary for spell check. Thought I would bring the request here. hey Bill.. i missed this somehow.. to the best of my knowledge, all you have to do to add something to the dictionary is right click on it, then select 'Add to Dictionary' HI Shelby. Home/life organizing has not been requested by anyone else (yet). so i will think about that one. i also have a request for a book/reading board that i'm thinking about.

OK, I wish for a couple of things. One is to be able to award as many meaningless karma points as I prefer as often as I prefer. Second, ... I forget what second was because this game playing irks me. Get rid of karma if you have to play games to "control" it.

i don't know what 'games' you're referring to commentator.. everyone can give one karma an hour. i can remove it entirely, but not change how often if can be done. and no, i'm not going to remove it again.

I'll second the request for a home/organizing section. Especially with "Spring Cleaning" time coming up.
Maybe if not a whole new section for it, one of those stay at the top threads in an appropriate section? So we don't have to go searching for it if only a couple of people are sharing ideas.

If you start one, let me know and we can sticky it. I would think that either SS or WIR would be the most appropriate boards, though I could be wrong.

Ooooh I'm not a thread starter...lol But I'd say the Women section. With all those kids, new moms, grocery stocker uppers...they probably either have ideas or need organization ideas.

Is there a pets board I've missed? If not, may we consider having one?

I'd love a board that answers food care questions. Ex., can I freeze this?, how long can this be frozen before it goes bad?, can you take it out of the freezer right into the oven?

I could understand a one per hour limit per awardee but I see little point in an overall limit of one per hour. In this particular case two tax pros had given particularly useful answers to tax questions. Rather than post a series of "x gave a good answer," I preferred to use karma. Oh, well. BTW, have you told your moderators not to "prank" individual specific data?

yes commentator, pranking was addressed a long time ago and virgil said that he would not do it again.
as for karma, all i can tell you is make a list of who you 'owe' to.. i haven't seen any way yet to change how often someone is allowed to give it, unfortunately.

BTW, have you told your moderators not to "prank" individual specific data? To clarify Moon's answer (because I know this will otherwise come up), I had POM's permission to prank her karma, and she knows that if she decides she doesn't want it that way anymore, I'll change it back for her.

I added in a quickie feature that some might find useful: If you enclose a standard table: Mod | Popularity | Coolness | The J | OK, I guess | He's a Penguin | rovo | Pretty High | Meh | Virgil | HOT HOT HOT!! | As a Cucumber! |
in a set of [blockquote] [/blockquote], then voila!: Mod | Popularity | Coolness | The J | OK, I guess | He's a Penguin | rovo | Pretty High | Meh | Virgil | HOT HOT HOT!! | As a Cucumber! |
