hers was a whole lot easier.. not that i don't see the merit of what you were suggesting but i think it would be hard to implement.

Sorry, Moon. I think that was it. I've posted two on it now so it must be okay. Thanx for your help, too, Sugi.

Is there a reason why the reply numbers are wonky?

Where are they wonky, taz? Mine are correct on this page, as far as I can tell.

taz157- what theme are you using? the script that numbers the replies was based on 15 posts per page, so i had to manually change them all to 30 per page (which is what we're using). I may have missed a theme.

Will the spell check come back..... when I type I often go too fast with my two fingers (I think I may have the two fastest index fingers in the east, much to the chagrin of the high school teacher who tried to teach me to type the "right" way....) that I mispell words.....

No, mwcpa, the spell check, as we knew it won't be back. The new browsers have them built in. The answer, therefore, is to download the latest browser of choice (I use Chrome and FireFox, mostly). If you use Internet Explorer, there's an add-on you can download for it. It's called Speckie and is recommended by PC World. Here's a link to the site: Speckie

Firefox and Chrome have built in spellcheckers. IE has a plugin called IESpell that can be installed. Or you can also google Speckie.
To get IESpell: IESpell download page. Follow the directions under the download links to install and use.
To enable in Chrome

I also noticed last night after I post lillies that it appeared correct, but that was on different pages. Of course when I went back to the page, it showed a different reply number, I think 1497.

Strange.. but the 1497 or whatever would be correct because I think yours just now was 1501.

I really hate the autospell checkers... they change words and assume too much that is incorrect.... on my Itoy, I type in my log in name and it changes it to another word... I hate it.... I prefer spell checking so you can read it over while checking.... I guess I need to type in word or the like and cut and paste going forward... or just mistype words....

Now my post above yours shows as #1. FWIW, yesterday I was on Chrome at home. Today, I'm at work on IE8. In the end, it's no big deal. I'm just special that way.

mwcpa, my browser spell check doesn't auto change anything. it just puts a red squiggly line under the word, then i right click and select the correct one. plus you can add words to the dictionary. that's on FF. there are also spellchecking websites.
i do have the issue you describe with the autocorrect on my kindle fire though, as well as my phone. irritating, for sure!

Unfortunately, if it's at work there's probably nothing you can do about it, but IE8 is the browser equivalent of dog doo.

I take what I can get and deal with it.

You're welcome, SL! I'm glad it worked for you. Taz, hon, I'm sorry! I guess, as long as you can read and post, it's the best you got during working hours.
