How long until it melts? (Clueless Californian here, never lived where it snows) Quickly if the temps rise just a little bit. The temps here are going up to 5C/41F with rain tomorrow. So the snow was short lived here.

I'm snowed in. Mmhmm, I have to give myself an IM injection today. They gave me the wrong syringe at the pharmacy when I renewed the script. It's a 5/8 TB syringe. Do you think it will be OK if I use it? I'm pretty skinny. I'm thinking yes, but I need a second opinion.

Wonderful film, Tenn! Thanks! What an innovative way to help the otter while entertaining him at the same time. He's a cute little guy!

I should have mentioned I can only stick myself in the glutes. Giving myself injections really freaks me out, although I have no problem giving them to others. It should be alright, as I have no ass. It's only B12 so it's not that big a deal.

Yeah, B12 should be fine. That's what mother was taking IM and I used a 5/8" on her. You could use the big thigh muscle. That's easy for home use. I quit giving mother B12 IM and started oral dosing. It's worked beautifully for her. The level stays high and I don't have to risk an IM on someone who takes Plavix and is 90!

I can't do the arms or thighs, mmhmm. I've tried. If someone else gives me the shot in the arm or thigh, I'm OK. I just can't give myself injections for some reason. I get sweaty and panicky. The butt is the only place I can do it. Weird, huh? I'd make a lousy junkie.

LOL, welts. I've never had to do it, but I can sure understand how it works! I don't like giving IM injections to anybody! I was glad to find out the oral B12 worked for mother just as well as the IM version. At her age, with her history of bleeds, I never liked poking holes in her. Couple that with friable skin and poor muscle tone and the IM injections just bothered me. I read about a study on PO vs IM B12 somewhere along the line and went with their findings. Her levels are checked 3 times a year and they've held beautifully on the oral dose. You might ask your doc about it.

Tenn, what a cutie! ROTFLMAO! I went out for supper with my BFF. She called me an "unenlightened redneck" because I would rather take a Tylenol for a headache than have my chakras aligned. I think it's hysterical.

LOL! I just blew a whole afternoon watching cat videos with Choo Chi and Arnie. They were enthralled. Chooch knew the difference between the Siamese and the other cats. Arnie didn't give a flip. He just wanted to watch cats ... any cats! They were a riot!

I'll have to look for those, cereb. I have a feeling this is going to become a daily thing. Arnie spends a good deal of his time looking over my shoulder now to see if I'm looking at anything that might appeal to him!

I got quite a laugh out of some of the videos they watched! They both followed me around tonight griping for another "movie session". I don't know why they've never noticed the computer before, but they're sure tuned into it now!

National Lampoon used to publish a magazine which parodied just about everything. It ran from the early '70s to the '90s. In the mid-70s, it parodied Penthouse magazine with an issue titled 'Pethouse'. The 'Pethouse' issue contained 'adult' cat stories along with photos of female cats in coquettish poses and included a centerfold.

I was reading a book yesterday when I heard an unfamiliar noise. Shhhhpp! Shhhpp! What the hell? I walk into the living room and it appears to be snowing! Well, Sushi the Demon Spawn had stolen a large bag of sesame seeds I just bought. I like to use them when I make Chinese food. Anyway, there he is, playing hackysack with this bag, gleefully tossing it into the air again and again. Needless to say, with each new toss, his sharp claws are puncturing the plastic and sesame seeds are raining down everywhere! Do you know how hard it is to clean up sesame seeds? They're in the carpeting, in the books piled up in the book case, even in the petals of the pink tulips on the coffee table. Does he play with any of the cat toys I bought him? Not even a little. Stupid cat.
