LOL! Too funny Weltz, mine just figured out how to open the french doors to the deck. Little shits that they are.... I have a rather compicated antique butter dish. I like to keep some butter out so it doesn't tear my English muffins. I kept finding myself saying "I could have sworn I put more butter in there. Maybe I'm getting senile." on almost a daily basis. Sushi had figured it out and was licking it clean every evening. I was going to end with the perfunctory "stupid cat", but he clearly outsmarted me..

That's a beautiful butter dish, welts, but it's no match for Sushi. I've got a feeling nothing is a match for Sushi.

And now, for his latest trick...... He's figured how to get my attention. He did it or time or two by accident, and realized cause equals effect. If I'm sleeping or lying on the couch or puttering away on the laptop, it's "Mom! Mom! Look at me! Mom!" He's figured out that if he hits the "Locate" button on the phone base, I have to get up. This morning he was trying to wake me up by pawing at my face and chewing on my hair, to no avail. Sure enough, a minute later, he raced downstairs and hit "Locate". BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! It doesn't stop until I get up and turn it off. He doesn't care if if it's negative attention or positive attention, as long as it's attention. He's done it about eight times now. I can no longer end my rants with "Stupid cat", so... Cat!

*chuckle* Your Sushi and my Choo Chi must never, never, never be in the same place at the same time. Devastation would surely ensue!

Damn. A squirrel just bit me, really hard. He drew blood. I was late feeding them lunch and he was a little overly-enthusiastic and mistook my finger for a peanut. I hope he doesn't get sick from biting me.

I don't know what unholy spirit possessed me to get this cat. I should rename him "Siren". It's like living with an ambulance." MeeeOWWWWWWWWWW! MeeeOWWWWWWW! He NEVER shuts his piehole, and I mean piehole in the most literal sense. I went to answer the phone in the kitchen yesterday, and when I returned, Sushi was busy devouring my cherry pie. He's the luckiest cat in the world, because if anyone else would have taken him, they wouldn't have kept him for long. He would be passed from home to home every few weeks, until someone would finally put him down. I don't know how much more of this I can take. The only time he shuts up is when he's chowing down on stolen food or when he's dragging his new favourite toy around....a plastic bag full of disposable knives and forks. No matter where I put it, he finds it and drags it around. Who knows what goes on in that weird little brain of his? Stupid cat.

I sincerely hope there will not be any rioting, whichever way this thing goes.
A war between latinos and negros...err, Afican Americans, might get ugly.
I hope the National Guard are at the ready...rubber bullets?
They always end up destroying their own own neighborhoods.
I hope sanity prevails.

Maybe we should arrange to put Sushi and Choo Chi in the same room for several days. Once they've spent some quality time listening to one another caterwaul, they might just get reeeeaalll quiet.

mmhmm , Looks like krickitt's & Marshabar's Board Lets Talk Politics is no more. Someone said it's been gone some 3 to 4 months.
They didn't want to bother with the change over to V5 I was told but can't confirm.

Yeah, it's been gone for awhile, hon. Marsha didn't want to make the change to V5 and, well, there just weren't that many people who posted there anymore. They never had a strong membership. Just never really got off the ground, I'm afraid. Krickitt just disappeared. Marsha tried to contact her, according to what I read, but didn't receive any return communication and no answer on her telephone. I know she logged in one night because I happened to notice she was listed as having been there, but she didn't post. Hopefully, she's okay and has just found something else to do.

My x-wife got custody of my brother cats, Jake and Elwood. I think that I miss them more than I do her, but at least she did not leave a litter box for me to clean out every day.
Unless Kricket changed pretty dramaticly since the last time I read her post about three years ago, I supect that whatever caused her to disappear was not caused by a positive event. Just sayin'....

I reallly hope it wasn't something horrible, vandals. Krickitt could be volatile, but she was ... well, she was Krickitt. I just hope she's okay. Sorry about your cat boys. It's hard to lose 'em.

No problem. The cats are very happy with my X. They are brothers, about 4 years old, and have never been seperated. Totally opposite personalities. One is timid and reclusive. The other is adventurous and "born to wander". They are both house cats. Jake's lifetime ambition is to break out someday. However, if he ever does it, he won't know what to do if nobody comes looking for him, yelling that he "GET BACK IN THE HOUSE!" In fact, he has done it several times, but then hides in the bushes until someone does just that. then he runs back into the house and hides for a while.

I confess that I am too lazy to own a pet. I love them, but I am single, which means that there is nobody to watch the pet if I decide to take off for a while (like when I go to Las Vegas in December). All of my siblings have pets, and would not trade them for anything, BUT My sister can no longer go camping in Glacier National Park, because dogs are not allowed My oldest brother has to stay in motels that have doors from the outside, so he won't have to take the toy poodle through the lobby, where he will be denied a room My other brother and his wife are both partially disabled, but have to walk the dog anyway My 84 year old cousin can no longerewalk the dog, and a nieghbor has to come over and do it.
I guess I'll just do without, and put my video of a fish tank on the TV.

You need a cat, vandal! You really, really, really need a cat! As long as you leave food and water down, the cat will cheer for you to enjoy Las Vegas and leave it the heck alone!
