Well, he's a weird little man with weird little tastes. Remember the date square fiasco? I had brought home some leftover date squares to give to the raccoons, and in the middle of the night, Sushi tore into them like a fat kid tearing into a Happy Meal. What a mess! Took forever to clean the crumbs out of the carpets.
He certainly has interesting tastes. My daughter brought over some gardenias from her garden. They were in a lovely, cut glass candy dish. Chooch found them and moved them, one at a time, into the Chinese fishbowl that holds one of my silk trees. Why? Who knows? Maybe she figured flowers need dirt? Cats are crazy! At least you don't have explain your cat's behavior to your neighbors. Meet Kelpto the cat.

Lightning is preventing us from getting on decks to work. There is probably 40 of us that have stood here doing nothing for 4 of the last 5 hours. The general contractor wants us to wait it out. Average pay including benefits is probably 65$ an hour.

Actually, I do. My neighbours reported me to the SPCA for animal abuse. They said it wasn't normal for a cat to scream like that, and I must be torturing him.
(It's perfectly normal for an Oriental)

Tenn, I told them that it's perfectly normal for an Oriental to sound like a baby being butchered with a set of bagpipes, but they didn't believe me.
They reported me, anyway.

My mother's old Burmese once came home with a bag of marshmallows he'd stolen from someone's outdoor Bar-B-Que. Sometimes, you just gotta take the lumps.

There was a really interesting program on PBS a while ago tracking the movements of domestic cats in an English village. The cats wore kitty cameras, plus they had some cameras set up to record the cat doors, to document when the cats were coming and going.
One of the interesting findings was a cat that was routinely entering a neighbor's house to help himself to the cat food there. When they had a public meeting to let everyone come hear the scientific findings, the lady who owned the cat burglar was embarrassed to find her cat was a thief - she said it was like finding out your child was eating dinner at your house and then heading next door for a second dinner (and probably better food).
Since the tornado cleared out the trees I've been afraid of either hawks getting my cats or dogs catching them out in the open, so they must stay inside and make do with their screened in porch (although evil kitty still catches moles and field mice in the garage from time to time). So - no thefts for them (if you don't count what they steal from me and DH).

I think Sushi is safe. Probably even from the Bumpuses (my neighbors) pack of dogs.
In fact I may need to hire Sushi as my enforcer - I would love to keep those dogs from crapping in my flower beds.

Hi new home. <waves>
OK guys, please come over and help me out. Since we lost, but thankfully only by 2 posters, I am hopeful for my next endeavor. Dating while poor. Asking men out when you can't afford a date or sliding non deterministically to "going out" somewhere, just because I want go.
So, now that the mud is clear-

I want to go out with the new owner of the garage. However the situation is complicated for many reasons including the fact that I don't want to lose my mechanics and its possible he doesn't want to lose my recurring revenue stream. (16yr old BMW, currently solely taken to an Independent NJ garage)
He's young. Like 25 years younger than me young. I don't really care about that except for the protocol with whatever his age cohort is different than mine. I think that might be Millenials. Not sure, but we seem to have the exact same taste in cars, and he has upgraded the magazines in the waiting area. (One chair) I am the only customer I know who actually waits there. Everyone else drives off in another vehicle or waits out in pricey café nearby.
I want to tell the story of when he bought the garage to current. DJ & TG and whomever, maybe that isn't important?
