Early in Covid, when the test machines were hard to find, Bob Woodward says in his new book. Trump sent the equipment to Putin, and Putin warned him not to tell anyone, because it would get him (Trump) in trouble if anyone found out. Trump has also continued to talk to Putin privately, since he left office in 2021. www.npr.org/2024/10/08/nx-s1-5146501/trump-putin-covid-testsMost American’s couldn’t get their hands on COVID tests, but Trump sent some to one of our greatest enemies. How is this not being a traitor? Are we sure he’s not Putin’s mole?

More like Putin's patsy. Putin is smart enough to let FOPA be in charge yet plays him like a fiddle.

Funny coming from you. Since all your sources are right wing rags. The difference is that Woodward is a well respected journalist who I suspect actually has legitimate sources for his book, something that what you like to quote him rarely, if ever has.

Following the old ‘if I don’t like it it must be fake’ MAGA template I see. Woodward is a professional journalist, and journalism has rules about sources. This makes them different from drunk uncle blogs on the internet. This is something you might want to do some research on, because it’s a crucial difference and especially important in the social media age, when your favorite website might be run by the Chinese.

Kremlin confirms Trump sent COVID-19 tests to Putin during pandemicThe Kremlin confirmed that former President Trump while in office sent Russian President Vladimir Putin COVID-19 testing devices during the height of the pandemic, as was revealed in a new book by journalist Bob Woodward, Bloomberg reported. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday that the tests had been sent but he also denied the book’s claims that the two leaders had spoken by phone several times since Trump left office, Bloomberg reported. “We also sent equipment at the beginning of the pandemic,” Peskov said in a written response to the news site when asked about the book. “But about the phone calls — it’s not true.” Woodward’s book, “War,” detailed how Trump in 2020 sent Abbott COVID-19 testing devices to Putin and kept the delivery quiet at the Russian leader’s request, according to CNN. Steven Cheung, the communications director for Trump’s presidential election campaign, denied the book’s claims, calling them “made up stories” and “not true.” Complete article here: Kremlin confirms Trump sent COVID-19 tests to Putin during pandemic

Can’t keep his mouth shut. I’m considering only watching cozy murder mysteries on streaming until after the election. The bullshit is wearing on my nerves.

Sure, there were Category 5 hurricanes when he was President and he was given briefings about them but he just wasn't listening .

I find it hard to be upset about this because nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to Trump. And the man just walks off into the sunset. He's the epitome of "affluenza". I'm starting to think he was right he really could murder someone on 5th Avenue and get away with it. Man I miss the old days where getting a BJ in the Oval Office was the scandal of the century.

So I’m guessing category five hurricanes are a deep state plot to frighten people into believing climate change? No...they were eco-engineered to prevent red states from voting. Had a long conversation (if you can call it that) with a Trumpster yesterday. She was bitching about the $750 FEMA. I explained to her that was a new program this year to supply IMMEDIATE NEEDS relief to people. Then FEMA was out of money. I explained to her that $200 billion was provide during the stop-gap bill that was just passed in Sept. And on and on it went. Then she had to go to listen to the Dan Bongino's podcast. Well...just for cheap entertainment, I listened to it today. And...it just takes once to see where they get all their ideas. And the comments from people while they were listening...an eye opener. MAGA is a group of bitter and angry people. Quiet scary. Listen and believe every word Trump says.

The translator was on the phone, but Trump and Putin never spoke on the phone to each other. 🤪 For the record, I made that up - don’t anyone go around saying you heard that somewhere.

I thought conservatives don't like government handouts. they should be glad that it s only $750. Don't want people on the public dole. And if we should be giving the money-how much should we give? Enough to rebuild and be made whole? FEMA has never worked that way. They give out loans for the mst part. It apparently isn't enough of a crisis for Johnson to call the House back to vote on disaster aid. He is going to wait until after the election. So why are REpublicans, conservatives, Trump, and Vance so concerned and telling these lies? Republican congressional leaders don't seem to care

I had about 65k in damages to my house (covered by insurance) and another 30 k on things not covered by insurance that I paid for myself. FEMA was there for uninsured home owners and people who were renting- but they did not pay all their losses. FEMA mostly helped farmers, not sure if they got loans or what, but they did get money to rebuild. There is not some magic FEMA money fairy giving out cash. I did benefit from free food and water and lots of volunteer help to scrap up the debris. Most people really pull together in a crisis. We did have some looters, though. One electrocuted himself trying to steal wire at an electrical substation- I wasn’t sorry he removed himself from the gene pool.

I also had a first hand encounter with FEMA, but it was over 25 years ago so some of the rules probably have changed. At the time (pre-Katrina) it was the largest evacuation of a city in the history of the country. Once we returned, FEMA reps either went door to door or met people in larger group gatherings. An immediate check (similar to the $750) was given, and then when the home was inspected by a FEMA agent, they would give further money for some essentials (e.g. water heater, furnace, electrical boxes) but it wasn't to make you whole, it was to help you through the crisis. The next level of help was low interest loans through SBA to help with the rest of the repairs. Five years later, there was a commemoration weekend of the event. The FEMA director that was in office during the flood (James Lee Witt) came to this event and spoke. He noted that FEMA received many "refunds" from the residents here. Money returned with notes saying that the items that were to be covered by the 2nd check (again, furnaces, etc.) didn't cost as much as was given to them by FEMA so they returned the extra money. James Lee Witt said that this was the first time it ever happened that people returned money

They were. There was a woman who came to help me clean up my shitty yard. She was living in an apartment building that got completely blown away. She didn’t have anything, including her purse with her ID and checkbook. She was hanging out at the shelter, and decided to come help pick up debris because she had nothing else to do. FEMA gave her enough money for a deposit on a new apartment, plus some for furnishings/clothes. Farmers who lost all their cows or all their cotton got money to start their next herd or plant the next field. They are basically the checkbook. I saw some people complaining on facebook that the FEMA people were hanging out at the disaster centers with clipboards. They expected them to be out combing the mountains looking for survivors, dropping off water and handing out sandwiches. Not their job. That’s what the national guard and military guys, and all the volunteers (I’ve seen pictures of multiple mule trains and horse trains) are for. FEMA is doing what it’s supposed to do. Be the purse.

So rip - any response from you regarding the Kremlin confirming trump sent Covid machines to Putin? I would like to point out that this was not a box of test strip kits, this was the big expensive instrument hospitals used before the strip kits were available, so some medical facility in the US did without a machine so Putin could have one. And what if we hadn’t given it to Putin and he got covid and died? Would Russia still have invaded Ukraine? Would Russia be on the brink of a civil war? (Bad for us because they have nukes). We’ll never know, because Trump gifted his BFF dictator a machine.
