I would like to point out that this was not a box of test strip kits, this was the big expensive instrument hospitals used before the strip kits were available, so some medical facility in the US did without a machine so Putin could have one. And what if we hadn’t given it to Putin and he got covid and died? Would Russia still have invaded Ukraine? Would Russia be on the brink of a civil war? (Bad for us because they have nukes). We’ll never know, because Trump gifted his BFF dictator a machine. Everything I've read says machineS, plural. So more than one medical facility. Yeah I saw something yesterday that the total cost was 637K. Traitor.

Trump loves Putin Trump hates Iran and claims we are soft on them Putin just touted Russia strong ties to Iran
Please help me understand how the Magidiots can square these facts and still claim that Biden's(and Harris') foreign policy is a disaster

I’ve heard this as Trump Fatigue. Everyone is burned out on hearing the next batshit thing that comes out of his mouth, or the next discovery of a Trump grift or criminal act. You just start blocking it out. Which is his plan. Wear everyone down with his blast of bullshit until everyone lets him have his way. It’s worked for him since elementary school.

he basically says that everything will be better if he is president. everyone will have a job. women will be protected. there will be no inflation.
i remember Obama said ONE thing like that at one point, and everyone laughed at him. and sure, there are peals of laughter coming from some place, but none that i am hearing.
the man has no plan for doing anything. not even winning.

I think Trump is relying on GOP state level people to swing the election for him - coming up with last minute vote suppression schemes, and canceling large numbers of voter registrations right before the last date to register approaches. Second level attack, if, after Election Day, he looks like he lost, will be countless lawsuits combined with civil unrest. He’s going to bully his way into office, then he’s going to immediately take apart the DOJ and other key federal systems, appointing loyal minions to run skeleton organizations, and he’ll start arresting everyone he hates, staring will Bill Barr.

He did this when we did not have enough testing capacity here. It is unbelievable the lengths you will go to excuse his abominable behavior. Americans potentially died due to this, but since Trump did it it is OK. I thought you believe in “America First”. How does that fit the narrative

Russia should not be an enemy rather a friend that we keep a close eye on Seriously? You know how close we are to nuclear war because Putin invaded Ukraine and won’t admit he was wrong? Now Russia may get plunged into civil war due to Putin’s idiotic effort to seize a neighbor - civil war that might allow their nukes to get into the hands of someone who will use them? It would have been better if he died from COVID.

Early in Covid, when the test machines were hard to find, Bob Woodward says in his new book. Trump sent the equipment to Putin, and Putin warned him not to tell anyone, because it would get him (Trump) in trouble if anyone found out. Trump has also continued to talk to Putin privately, since he left office in 2021. www.npr.org/2024/10/08/nx-s1-5146501/trump-putin-covid-testsMost American’s couldn’t get their hands on COVID tests, but Trump sent some to one of our greatest enemies. How is this not being a traitor? Are we sure he’s not Putin’s mole? LOL...Another left leaning biased hit job reporting by NPR based on unsubstantiated facts in a book. Still not admitting you were wrong. How trumpian of you.

Russia should not be an enemy rather a friend that we keep a close eye on I think you are misusing the term "humanitarian": i.e. concerned with or seeking to promote human welfare. This link shows the Biden Administration's humanitarian program: www.state.gov/covid-19-recovery/ Note the differences, public and wide reaching as opposed to private and personal.

I would like to hope that women see the fallacy in that he is the one who stocked the Supreme Court and had us relegated back to being second class citizens with no body autonomy and our sole purpose is to be baby factories with plans in the wings to go after BC next. Not to mention he did exactly jack squat to address the wage gap, he blocked the ERA because it had been "too long" by the last state ratified it, didn't do ANYTHING to address the costs/shortage of elder or childcare which largely falls to women and resulted in us leaving the workforce in droves during the pandemic and according to economists it may take 20+ years before women's wages recover from it. But I know that he's not appealing to my type of woman voter. He is appealing to the type that would admit decades later she made up the charges against a young innocent black man. He is appealing to the women who scream at an African American man in the park bird watching. That is who is vowing to "protect" with his racist trope about hordes of brown people coming over the border to commit crimes. And these women will give up everything to maintain the illusion they have the same rights and privileges as their white husbands. REALLy hoping and praying that the former type of woman voter comes out in droves to cancel out the latter.

Putin has got to be laughing his ass off at the US. Wonder what other dictator he sent these machines to?

What he did was reprehensible, because that was a LARGE supply of testing machines (I have a really good idea of how many that much money entailed) that could have been used in the US. I don't get why people do not look at crap like this and see that his words belie his actions.

I recently watched a town hall meeting on BBC. There were both Republicans and Democrats on the panel, and they took questions from the audience. It was incredibly eye opening that people think the way that they do, and have -zero- knowledge of even basic economics. Sadly, I have cousins that live in Indiana and one regularly posts memes about things that are out and out lies. I just can't argue with her because it would be like trying to argue with a 4 year old that there's no Santa Claus. That's pretty hard to take from a 60+ year old woman.
I really am not liking the way that this is looking. I do NOT want to see another 4 years under Trump. The America that I was born and raised in will be totally destroyed. We have the ability to stop the destruction, but it's like looking at a car stuck on the railway tracks and you are hoping that it moves before the oncoming train hits it. I'm not sure I want to live here anymore, if that's the case.

Because Trump gives them what they want. They want to be able to say and do all these awful things out loud. They want black and brown people to know their place. And he believes in "the Great Replacement" theory, something which all of them believe. Just listen how they talk about how the US is going downhill. It is all racism. He can grift away, and screw them all, as long as he screws someone else worse.
As I have said many times, I am an Upper Middle Class white male. I am unlikely to be hurt in any way but monetarily by Trump. Everyone else better be prepared for bad things happening to them under him, because he will let the radicals in the Republican Party do what they want, as long as he gets to play at president, grift, and stay out of jail.

My only personal concern is I live in a deep red area and am visible enough as a liberal to be taken out in a purge if it comes to that extreme. And really not so much for myself, but my poor local wife has strayed from the flock because of opening her eyes to Trump's true nature and would likely be killed also. Hopefully the sexism of her being a woman I have lead astray would save her. Not sure that a purge is even dependent on Trump winning. The anger at his failing to be declared the winner would be enough to set some people off.

If the com to pass we are in a serious shitstorm, and the country we all knew will be no more, and there may be a dissolution. Doubt we come to that, but we will be giving up our liberties slowly, and may never get them back. Still better to be an upper middle class white male in these scenarios.

By the end of March, 2020 there were roughly 140,000 cases each day. The chart here is really interesting to see how quickly Covid ramped up in a single month. March 1, there were only 62 cases. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_cases_in_March_2020
