I don't know how two weeks went by with me forgetting to check in. I've done at least three work outs each week this month. My daily step count average is still above 6,700. I was doing well with water intake, but I've slacked off the last couple of days. I despise tracking calories. I don't know if it's a defiance reaction or a forgetfulness. However, I really need to do that because I'm incapable of recognizing how many calories I consume in a day. Even when I think I'm making healthy eating choices, I still end up with 2500 calories in a day.

For the 4th day in a row, I've gone out walking for half an hour. I've been heading out early before it gets too hot. Daytime temps have been in the 90s.
Also, I've been trying to improve my eating habits. I make a fresh fruit salad every few days, bought some kefir (I'm post antibiotic treatment so I'm trying to improve my gut biome), and am trying to make better food choices. On the other hand, I did buy a big bag of Hershey Nuggets at Costco.
I'm not perfect. But there's that saying, don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. I'm striving for good.

Excellent, Iggy aka IG ! I had my annual appointment with the cardiologist. I mentioned the nighttime leg cramps and he said to keep taking the magnesium but also potassium is good. He said instead of a potassium supplement I should eat more fruit. I will, gladly! I made a giant fruit salad of green grapes, pineapple, blackberries, raspberries, and clementines. It's almost gone, so time to make more. I bought a double container of raspberries at Costco yesterday. Also eating a banana a day. I also read an article about superfoods. I recently finished a course of antibiotics for a sinus infection. My gut biome needs replenishing. I bought some kefir. I am also addicted to Noosa yogurt. It's not reduced fat, but it is delicious. Thank you, seriousthistime! I also take a nighttime magnesium and potassium supplement. Your fruit salad sounds delicious!

I’ve been going to a ‘farmers market’. Not usual type but sell produce year round. Lots of variety cause an ethnic customer base. I bought 3 pound containers of really ripe red strawberries, 99cents each, 2 of blueberries $1.25 each and big package of mini colorful peppers for $2.99 Loving the fruit!

I weighed this morning - 164. Not happy with that.
We are mostly recovered from late April/May and the emotional toll of having a loved one enter hospice/die, and deal with the crazy Hoarder person. But it cost us a fair bit money wise, and it will take a while to recover. DH and I are retired and have that "fixed income" issue.

Not happy with weight. My own fault lack of exercise and consuming too many calories.
Goals for week
1. No eating after 9:00 PM 2. Average 24 ounces of water. I have very poor water intake. 3. Average 6500 steps a day.

Only goal met from last week is no eating after 9:00.

Goal remain the same:

1. No eating after 9:00 PM 2. Average 24 ounces of water. I have very poor water intake. 3. Average 6500 steps a day.
Have a good week everyone.

Just checking in. The scale has been bouncing around some, so I'm up a bit, but still at 4 pounds gone. I'd prefer to "relose" a few more pounds. With this being a holiday week, it could be a bit rough, especially since the big gathering is at my house, and I'll end up with most of the leftovers.

I was unexpectedly out of town last week, and I'm pretty proud of myself for hitting 10k steps 3/4 days I was gone. I haven't gotten on the scale in awhile, but since my clothes all still fit, I'm going to guess my weight hasn't gone up much.
I joined a new gym that focuses on fitness classes back in January. I'm so proud of myself for how consistently I've been going (especially given how often I have work/personal travel). And, I'm starting to feel stronger and faster. I really hope i can keep this momentum up!
Keep up the good work, all! I know I don't remember to check in/post regularly, but seeing everyone else posting is so motivating!

I also haven’t checked in… I’ve been in a funk and can’t seem to get motivated. Even all my pants not fitting hasn’t seemed to work.
Just had bloodwork done, possibly my thyroid meds need adjusting.

Good to see everyone!
I concluded what I had last month was Covid, and now DH has it. I'm still taking it easy because of the shortness of breath and my already asthmatic lungs. I've been averaging 2,500 daily steps around the house/office but except for walking out to spend time with the kittens we recently adopted, haven't walked the house exterior for several weeks.

DD bought me an Apple Watch for Mother’s Day Used it to measure swimming today. Had a good swim little less tan half hour. But didn’t know how to stop the swimming app. So it measured I swam 1 mile, nope! But maybe I’ll show Jerseyguy, he never ‘believes’ me about swimming Sitting here under huge trees so shade keeping down the heat and a Prosecco makes it even nicer

Have not been checking in since I really have nothing new to report.
Only good thing is weight is not increasing.
Way behind on my steps for the year. Hoping I can make 2,000,000 although I am not on pace to reach this goal which is a 1/2 million below my original goal.

Need to catch up here. Weight this morning was 163.4. It had been close to 167 a few days ago. So I have started my restricted eating window again. It usually helps with both the weight and my glucose.
I see the eye doc next week - I cannot afford to buy glasses from him anymore. Even with insurance it's several hundred dollars. Have you guys gotten glasses from Sam's Club, or one of the online stores?

I started multi-tasking kitten time and walking by walking them around the house exterior. Two of three have followed me so far. It's slow-going, but still gets my heart rate up.
Happy weekend, everyone.

Welp, another month has flown by! I started a job on July 8, so I've not checked in anywhere here at since then.
While my step count is--on average--above last year's, and my water intake has been darn good. I'm not in an exercise routine though. I'm at 1 or 2 days per week for the last month.
December 28th weight was 171.0. March 19th weight was 173.0. April 22 weight was 178.0. May 21 weight was 178.0. June 24 weight was 180.5. July 7 weight was 182.4. Aug 5 weight was 178.0

My electronic scale is having issues this morning. My weight loss changes each time I step on it, but wherever I'm at, it's an improvement. Basically, I've lost between 7 & 9 pounds since we started keeping track here. I'm frankly not sure how I lost more weight this week, as I've spent a lot of it chained to my desk doing paperwork. Unless that is keeping me from grazing in the kitchen. I'm doing the same amount of exercise, so no change there.

Updating because ignoring my physical health never works for me:
My water intake has been good. I’ve not been binge eating at all the last several weeks. My weight is the same as last time. I’ve been doing yoga almost every day. I have been averaging 7,200 steps per day. I’ve not been doing much cardio. I’ve not been doing any strength training.

I haven’t been doing overly well. The weather was rainy for what feels like weeks straight and now it’s starting to feel like fall is here. I got sick and fell off the wagon of being active and meal planning. Fortunately I still (mostly!) made good food choices, so while the scale isn’t going down, it hasn’t gone up either. The last few days have been clear and sunny in the mornings, so I have started my daily walks outside again, which I’ve missed.

I have been MIA. Not doing well. Caught Covid and still do not have energy. Hoping my sister and I will get back into the habit of a walk at least once a week. Not going to hit my step goal for the year. Oh well. Hoping i can finish the year strong.

Covid takes so much out of a person and recovery very often is much longer than one expects. Don’t worry, just look for even not getting worse. How lovely that you have a sister who you see every week. Maybe just go for a tea or coffee (or wine) with her, don’t worry about a walk. I really miss my sister.

Wow August flew by!
I've still been walking around the house exterior with the kittens. The younger one who was hesitant at first now leads the pack. I also started doing cardio in what our neighbor kiddos call our "training room." I feel better already and am sleeping more soundly. My routine: Sciatica stretches, crunches, leg lifts, a few yoga poses, treadmill, punch the heavy bag a few times, and hand weights*. When I remember, I also do counter push-ups. My newly found motivation is a 2025 cruise. In the past, every time I plan a big vacation, I tell myself I'm going to lose weight beforehand. Instead of that, my thoughts are I just want to feel better and be able to walk longer without becoming so sore.
*I tried DH's elliptical for the first time. Nope, not for me, LOL.
