You do not live in FL so you are unlikely to be hit with the tax fallout, so it matters not to you that your state tax bill will go up because the AH tilted at the biggest windmill/employer in the state. Not liking that a major employer is too liberal or conservative for your taste is not a good reason to screw over taxpayers in your state. It is one thing to be against trans rights or not like it. it is another thing entirely to try to legislate others lives because of your own personal beliefs. There have been some excesses with trans surgeries prior to 21 or 25 years of age. I think DeSantis is on the wrong side of this even if I agree that legislation might be needed for both safety and costs. DeSantis is in it for the agenda not the tax dollars. Like Trump he does not care if he destroys his state while throwing his weight around. In contrast, while I did not vote for Chris Christie for NJ governor, he was a much less toxic person than DeSantis or Trump. He can be reasonable but also has some big stupids like the school scandals. He did a great job handling disasters IMO during his governorship and was smart enough to cross the aisle when needed. President Biden and President Obama have been in NJ. I think he met Obama on the NJ shore for Sandy which was the right thing to do. I don't think DeSantis or Trump can do the right thing. They are moral policies over people. Their way over those they govern on behalf of. MO. |

FWIW I think Ron Mickey Mouse DeSantis is an awful human being and an awful governor.
Scgal do you like MGT? She is wrong about everything. You may agree with her on moral chest pounding issues, but this woman could not be right if she tried. She is the woman behind Jewish space lasers starting forest fires. And in reality, if you pay attention to the weather there is a reason, we are warned about potential fire conditions. The big ass fires in Canada and parts of the US started because of potential fire conditions manifesting into fires. If no human is in the woods, things can spark and massive fires can burn until they stop or are stopped.

It does affect NJ. There is a very tight connection between NJ and FL, so much so that there are trains and moving businesses that survive on it. Many NJ peeps own summer homes in Fl or visit relatives in Fl in the summer. The inability of conservatives to understand the difference between that and the BLM protests is also absurd. But I guess it should not be surprising given the ridiculousness surrounding most of your posts. BTW, a judge said Trump was guilt of insurrection. A judge in NYC said the Trump Organization committed fraud. But because you do not trust “Democratic” judges, but if someone is wrongly convicted and executed, you just think “oh well, the jury got it wrong, nothing we can do about it, just move on”. |
