It's only a huge deal because of who his father is. He's a private citizen, so at the end of the day, it doesn't matter because he's never held public office.

Only this time the GOP candidate us up on 91 criminal charges, so who really is the lessor of the two evils?

Didn’t Garland pick this guy for special counsel? I think he specifically picked a Trump guy so when the whole thing is over no one can say Biden arranged whatever the punishment ends up being.
But you are correct - if this was anyone associated with the Republicans, every gun toting American would be whipped into a frenzy and congressmen would be proposing doing away with background checks at all.
If Democrats were smart, they would be celebrating the prosecution of someone thwarting gun laws. This could be an opportunity- at the expense of Hunter Biden, but sometimes you need a martyr

Why wasn't MTG charged with revenge porn by showing naked pictures of Hunter Biden to members of congress. Marjorie Taylor Greene Rebuked for Displaying Nude Photos of Hunter Biden at Hearing: ‘No One Deserves That’Democrats immediately condemned the far-right Georgia representative for showing explicit images she claimed to be of Hunter Biden in a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is being condemned for appearing at a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing and prominently displaying what's believed to be explicit photos of President Joe Biden’s 53-year-old son, Hunter Biden. The Wednesday hearing was intended for the committee to discuss an investigation involving Hunter’s taxes after allegations were previously made by two whistleblowers. The unnamed sources claimed “political interference in the Justice Department” occurred while investigating Hunter, The Washington Post reported in June. “I would like to let the committee and everyone watching at home know that parental discretion is advised,” Greene, 49, explained before presenting the compromising images of Hunter, according to the Post. She then accused the commander-in-chief's son of "making pornography." Rest of the mentally ill MTG's comments and article here: Marjorie Taylor Greene Rebuked for Displaying Nude Photos of Hunter Biden at Hearing: ‘No One Deserves That’

Yee Haw! Saddle up boys. We now have real live rodeo starting. Get your tickets for the grandstand seating. Roping the truth doggies. Laughing at the clowns. Timed barrel racing around the arena to beat the statute of limitations.
All joking aside, this is years overdue. What took so long? Why is it just the gun charge? Why isn't he being charged Under the FARA act?
"FARA requires certain agents of foreign principals who are engaged in political activities or other activities specified under the statute to make periodic public disclosure of their relationship with the foreign principal, as well as activities, receipts and disbursements in support of those activities".
If he got monies from foreign officials he needed to register as a lobbyist. Then he would have had to disclose where all the millions came from and where it went. Oh wait he's Biden's son. Untouchable. Privileged. Two tier system of American justice. Laws for thee but not for me.

I wonder if this is from Tucker or Hannity not knowing about how gun charges work. Its rich talking about a two-tier system of justice when Trump crafted a third tier for himself alone during his Presidency. I'm the President, you can't charge me shtick. Trump's top tier of evading justice is running out and the talking heads and the MAGAs are losing it. Hunter Biden has been subject to several rulings already and Mr. I'm Special third tier is finally getting court time. That's privilege; the Hunter stuff is regular to low two tier compared to Mr. I'm untouchable Trump.

FARA doesn't apply to Hunter, because he was not acting in any official/political capacity. if the Special Council thought he could bring charges on that, he would. i really don't understand your questions, rip. YOU are the guy that brought up this case. i know very little about it, and you seem to know less than me.

That is why MAGA's are such cheap entertainment. My first thought when I heard was after all the low-down people Trump pardoned, I hope President Biden issues Hunter one. A big ole middle finger to MAGA's.

Because all the charges against Trump are “political”. According to them, Trump has never done anything illegal

The great irony of this gun charge is if this was Hunter Smith instead of Hunter Biden the right wingers would be all up in arms (literally) that this is an assault on his right to bear arms. (The charge is that he bought a handgun while he was using illegal drugs - a charge the NRA claims is unconstitutional.) some talking legal heads on the news this am said they had rarely seen this charge used, and when it was, it was always used in cases where someone bought a firearm and then used it to commit a crime. Talk about a two tiered justice system- if his name wasn’t Biden these charges wouldn’t have been brought.

zackly. and the judge will know that. Biden will skate, in all likelihood. and WHEN that happens, MAGA will complain about the judge.

Meanwhile, yee haw, while you gloat of getting Hunter, the MAGAs' continue showing their ass: “I showed frustration in here because I am frustrated,” McCarthy told reporters after the meeting. “Frustrated with some people in the conference.” “We had the DOD appropriations bill yesterday, couldn’t put it on the floor,” McCarthy said. “I don’t have one complaint by any member of what’s wrong with this bill.” The battles are playing out against the backdrop of a potential government shutdown deadline of Sept. 30 if Congress cannot pass a stopgap government funding bill — which the House Freedom Caucus has also put demands on. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/mccarthy-drops-f-bomb-venting-frustration-with-gop-members/ar-AA1gJdqm?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=035dd8689b834499bc28cacac36d9ed1&ei=57Yee haw, got Hunter, can't govern, but we got Hunter.

mark my words- McCarthy can't win anything without Democrats.
with that comment in mind, does ANYONE think that the impeachment crap is going ANYWHERE? i would be slightly surprised if committees could even be formed. i would be even more surprised if it ever reached the House floor. if it does, McCarthy is doomed.

True. The fact that she's an elected official and doesn't know basic law is just mind boggling. Also the fact that Lauren Boobert had to try numerous times to get a GED and still holds public office is crazy!

Yes, someone does. Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN: And his warning on Tuesday that an impeachment inquiry doesn’t necessarily translate to an actual impeachment seems difficult to take seriously since he’d have to face down pro-Trump lawmakers to halt it once it gathers momentum, even if it fails to unearth missteps by Joe Biden. link

In Washington state that firearm offense is a felony. But a leading law enforcement official said it never gets prosecuted. These charges are ‘political’ of course.

How many times did you have to change your underpants having had an 'accident' in them when you read Hunter was indicted? The cases against Hunter Biden will be tossed out by the judge(s). The judge will toss them out based on the fact Hunter Biden already had a plea deal with the justice department which involved no jail time. It was trump-loving Republican politicians who pushed to have the charges against Hunter reopened.

Can't have that. 2 To try to make Donald Trump feel better. His feelings got hurt because he was impeached, so it is only fair that someone else get impeached 3 It is all they have. It isn't like they have any coherent guiding principles anymore
