So why are you so desperately, pathetically fighting them? Chris Christie blasts Trump for claiming his indictment is 'a badge of honor'Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie reacted to Donald Trump's characterization of his indictments as badges of "honor and courage." Christie appeared on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday and was shown a clip of Trump from the Turning Point USA conference Saturday night. In the clip, Trump claimed: "Every time the radical Left Democrats, Marxists, communists, and fascists indict me, I consider it to be a great badge of honor and courage. I’m doing it for you. I’m being indicted for you." As Trump's opponent for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, Christie scoffed at the statement. "He’s a liar and a coward. He’s not getting indicted for anyone other than because of his own conduct," Christie said. "When he says he’s doing it for us, that’s a lie. And when he was doing all the things that he was doing with those documents, it shows exactly what a coward he is." Complete article here: Chris Christie blasts Trump for claiming his indictment is 'a badge of honor'While I appreciate what Christie is doing now, he is part of the Frankenstein team who created the monster.

While I appreciate what Christie is doing now, he is part of the Frankenstein team who created the monster. Totally agree, but they might be the ones that need to dismantle him. Nothing g else has worked so far. I’ve wondered if some GOPers got together in a smokey black room and decided to recruit Christie to run with the sole goal of constantly fire bombing Trump to try to goad him into blurting out things that even his minions couldn’t overlook. Christie erodes trumps voting base, another GOP candidate steps in and wins, and Christie gets a promised position in the new administration.

If Trump looks like he is getting traction on something, Christie can change the subject and Trump has to start blurting on something else. His message won’t be primed and his believers have to start over on how to defend the latest stupid thing he said. It is exhausting for Trump and his voters. There is a reason he won on two different three word chants. Simple to remember, simple to repeat and burrows into people’s brains. They need to keep him on his toes to truly encapsulate how incompetent he is. Remember how the Movementarians had to change their chant from “The leader is good, the leader is great. We surrender our will as of this date.” to the Batman theme (replacing “Batman” with “Leader”) because Homer was too stupid to remember such a long chant.

as with most bullies, he is rarely confronted. Yes, but when finally cornered, they do tend to pop explosively. Imagine if Christie could provoke that on a debate stage. Imagine the blue haze of swear words that would fog the room - Trump would at a minimum loose whatever Christian voters he has.

You’re probably right, but I live in hope. saw a Reddit post where a woman took her 3 - 4 year old daughter to a natural history museum and had her pose in front of the dinosaur exhibits giving them the finger. Said that the next day they were going to go find an Athiest Church (I assume to similarly taunt them). My idea of what it means to be a Christian is apparently not the MAGA version - I guess swearing wouldn’t bother them.

They are people that go to faux Christian churches who apparently spend most of their time looking down on others and pretending they are good people. I wouldn't waste my time going to see something I disagree with or don't care about, but she probably wants it for FB, where she probably is much less popular than she thinks she is.

My idea of what it means to be a Christian is apparently not the MAGA version Mine always has been. I was left alone spiritually growing up with no proper indoctrination into the Christian religion. I was able to just observe my family spritzing in it when grandparent came to town. Never have been impressed with it on any level.

I would rather a person be curious and willing to learn what it’s about because they’ve never been exposed to it, than to have been exposed to a fake and/or ugly representation of it, and (understandably) want nothing to do with it.

In Trump's own words: So his stance is clear: the Presidential Records Act allowed him to keep the documents. But, ironically, while discussing President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal just minutes later, he said that it was a real issue because “You’re only covered by the Presidential Records Act if you’re president” — and Biden was not president. But neither was Trump during the document dispute. We know that Trump retained a significant amount of classified material after he was president and even admitted to it on tape while showing it to someone who didn’t have a security clearance. Consequently, by Trump’s own distorted standard and understanding of the Presidential Records Act, his defense is wholly inadequate. He claimed that he is covered by it, but then said that one is only covered by it if he is president at the time — which Trump was not.www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-inadvertently-explains-why-the-indictment-against-him-is-perfectly-legitimate/ar-AA1e4FtY?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=a3ce3e46a23f4906bf02501d0ab2b8de&ei=22Alternative facts?

I have a whole thing about Christianity. but....according to their own teachings... Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ Kinda makes me hope it's all true cause I would absolutely LOVE to see that day.

the superseding indictment is pretty damning. Saw a clip of that this morning- Trump instructed a minion to destroy a server that had CCTV footage of his storage areas. The minion was complaining to another minion that he didn’t think he knew how to do that - or if he was allowed to do that. Hmmm, where have we heard about bleaching and beating a server with a hammer before? Something about Lock Her Up? This doesn’t strike a chord with the MAGA crowd?

Because this is what they are hearing and focusing on: To wit…. The Republicans in the House of Representatives have thousands of Joe and Hunter Biden bank records, hundreds of trace records for wire transfer statements and payments, hundreds of reported U.S. Treasury suspicious activity reports, thousands of emails and subpoenaed text messages, audio and video recordings, thousands of photographs, access to the laptop of Hunter Biden and all the content therein, documented witnesses to the activity, testimony under oath corroborating how the Bidens collected tens of millions from foreign nations as unregistered foreign agents which was subsequently laundered through 20 shell companies. The House committee also has FBI witness reports (FD-1023) from verified and reliable Confidential Human Sources who documented the intent and purpose of the transactions, along with US government attorneys in Philadelphia who investigated and confirmed the substance of the confidential human source allegations therein. Additionally, the Republicans in Congress have sworn affidavits and testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who testified the US attorney in Delaware was working with the U.S. Dept of Justice in Washington DC to bury the results of the investigation. Lastly, and most recently, the Republicans have a transparently corrupt federal plea agreement rejected as presented by U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika, because the intent of the construct was to protect the son of the President of the United States from legal exposure within the business that provided the material wealth for himself and the family of the President, providing immunity for their Foreign Agent Registration Act violations… ….And the Republican Speaker of the House is letting the Republican controlled Congress go on vacation for the next two months. All of this,…. ALL OF THIS…. while the former Republican president and current 2024 election front-runner is being railroaded by the same Dept of Justice the Speaker refuses to confront. theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2023/07/27/mr-speaker/#more-249314

'Clearly a loser': Joyce Vance trashes Trump's latest ploy to manipulate Judge CannonReacting to Donald Trump's request to be able to review top secret documents related to his federal indictment in a non-secure environment, former U.S. Attorney Joyce Vance claimed it should be a non-starter for U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Judge Aileen Cannon who is likely aware it yet another stalling tactic. Writing on her Substack platform, Vance pointed to a motion made by special counsel Jack Smith to make sure the documents are protected from prying eyes up to and during the former president's trial in a Florida courtroom and pointed out that Cannon has been trying to get Trump's lawyers and the Department of Justice to reach a compromise. As she explained, Trump doesn't want the inconvenience of having to revisit the documents that are central to his now 40-count indictment in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) by complaining it will interfere with his 2024 GOP presidential nomination campaign. As she wrote, "He wants to be able to see it in the comfort of his own home. Trump still doesn’t get he’s not going to receive special treatment, unless Judge Aileen Cannon gives it to him. If she does on this point, look for Jack Smith to appeal immediately and win. Trump’s request flies in the face of clearly established law on handling classified documents—not exactly a shocker given the nature of this prosecution." Coping with the nuances of contradictory ideas or experiences is mentally stressful. It requires energy and effort to sit with those seemingly opposite things that all seem true. Festinger argued that some people would inevitably resolve the dissonance by blindly believing whatever they wanted to believe. link Problem solved, no breakdown.
