I have rice. (Almost bought frozen shrimp burgers today) The recipe calls for three tablespoon of sriracha. That's WAY too much! I used one teaspoon and I found it very spicy.

I would skip the chili flakes and cut the Sriracha back to 2 tsp FOR MY BRAND OF SRIRACHA. The last time I got it, I grabbed the Worcestershire brand and it's milder than Huy Fong - that one is fiery!

I made salmon salad and had it on a baguette that was still hot when I bought it this afternoon.
Sushi had the salmon water from the can. He loves that. Salmon water and tuna water.

leftovers tonight, easy enough. I've got a grocery list for the am where I'll be doing some batch cooking this weekend. probably Sunday as the weather's supposed to be shitty.

Made a Blakes chicken pot pie. Added tater tots around it to soak up the good stuff. Was able to eat it all so I hope that means my jaw is OKish.
Should eat more veggies but more worried about hydration. Would like at least 60oz total b4 bed. And need to get up early like today. (Sat shift is earlier than M-F)

the grocery list contained a couple things I needed for teriyaki marinade that I was supposed to do a couple days ago, and a package of boneless skinless chicken thighs to have more than just the one leftover BSCB. I'm using this marinade for the first time. I'll update once the chicken is cooked. tonight will be this chicken with leftover Chinese takeout. ETA - I'd do this marinade again. I went light on the sugar and used both garlic and ginger. it was pretty tasty.

Thanks to chiver78, salmon is in bulgogi marinade. Sides will be white rice (cooked in turkey bone broth) and sesame broccoli (without the seeds, as DH cannot have them).

Have no idea really, but probably something to use up some Turkey spam or the good ground beef. Tired, so might do something easy instead. Want to use up the last of the sliced potatoes in a can because I did not cover them. Top of can fell to the floor ,,, and it was too much for me. Just want to sleep or have someone else do most of it.

Well, I knew there was a reason for popping over here to see what everyone is having for dinner. MarionTh230 just solved my problem. I had shrimp out to thaw but not sure what to do with it. Was thinking shrimp creole but shrimp and grits it is. Unless I change my mind by 7pm. Kiddo loves grits. I leverage that anytime I can to make for an easy dinner. Hope you enjoyed yours as much as we did! It sure was tasty!

Well, again I’m glad I popped in here. Totally unfamiliar with bulgogi marinade so off I went to google. I will pull out salmon tomorrow night and give this a try. I have salmon up the wazoo thanks to my favorite son! Heck I need to heck this thread every day.

Four ingredients....garlic, ginger, soy sauce and real maple syrup. Really good!

I'm doing a baked potato bowl tonight, I'm sick of Chinese leftovers. tiny reds are roasting now, broccoli is seasoned and tossed in EVOO waiting to be added to the pan. I'm swiping a little shredded chicken from the pup stash, and I'll top with some shredded cheese.
tomorrow night will be boneless pork chops and roasted Brussels sprouts. maybe a couple tiny reds as well, if I'm that hungry. the chops are dated tomorrow and the sprouts have been in the fridge awhile.

today was mushroom day around here lol... at lunch, I mixed up some mushroom stuffing and baked three for my lunch. pancetta, crumbled garlic chicken sausage link, Italian seasoned bread crumbs, fresh grated parm cheese, and olive oil to hold it all. together.
dinner was chicken Lombardy over pappardelle, I saved myself a BSCB from a family pack I ran through the IP for the pups. I cut the triangle and sliced the top into two cutlets.
I've got 2 pieces of chicken Lombardy and enough stuffing for 8-10 normal sized mushrooms. thankful to not have to cook for a couple days!

chiver78 I did not realize those ingredients equal teriyaki. I use a few variations of that marinade quite often. Though maybe teriyaki is more of a style? Years ago I learned that there is something in the bottled teriyaki sauces that I am allergic to. Did not go through the process of narrowing it down because though it causes pain it was not a severe or life threatening allergy and once I stopped using it the symptom went away.

yes, I think it's more a style. I though I had read somewhere that the word "teriyaki" translates to the BBQ style of cooking. I'll see if I can find anything to back that up. lol...
ETA - Google "translate teriyaki" and you'll get the definition from a few sources. teriyaki refers to the sugar shine, yaki to grilling.

I made soft tacos yesterday and leftovers are on hand for tonight.
Not sure about tomorrow, probably some canned soup or maybe tunafish. If the weather is chillier, tomato soup and grilled cheese sounds good.

here we are 1/1/24. I'm not gonna make a new thread, but if anyone else wants to, please do! yesterday, I made a big pot of sauce and ~1lb of meatballs for my dad. I want the sauce, he can have the meatballs. Nana's sauce doesn't taste right without meatballs simmering in it. anyway, this afternoon I chopped a huge bowl of salad greens for the week and built a small tray of eggplant parmigiana from frozen cutlets. I pulled them to thaw when I started the sauce yesterday. chopped salad greens were 2 romaine hearts, 1 iceberg head (w/o the bitter yellow center) and half a head of radicchio. late lunch today was a big bowl of salad greens with croutons and a vinaigrette, and a small piece of eggplant parm. the pups and I split some sourdough for dipping/mopping I heated up a can of soup later on for dinner. dinner this week is going to be a bunch of red sauce that I don't freeze. I have a package of BSCB in the fridge. they might become fried cutlets, or something else. idk. I'd like to grill them for salads, we'll see how that goes

spinach ravioli and a side salad tonight, nice and easy.
tomorrow I'd like to do something with the BSCB. they are on the smaller side, so I could get four thin sliced pieces to saute. that would leave them thick enough to slice over a bigger salad.
