I stopped going into Manhattan because of the many attacks even in tourist areas. Very sad that as you said hard working productive people are preyed upon by these miserables

I can't imagine how it could be a mistake.    Even deleting a simple post comes with a version of 'Are you sure?'  This was an entire thread with thousands and thousands of posts.

I've messaged her, more than once. She's been online more than once since then and hasn't responded. Not saying it wasn't accidental. Absolutely could have been. But when I ask about it privately, I expect an answer. That answer could have been something as simple as "I see your message, but I'm right in the middle of <whatever> right now and I'll get back to you." Something that doesn't scream "IDGAF" like radio silence does. Yanno?

Yes, it could. It's why I started with the private route. She could have easily explained it to me, then I could have passed it on without naming her. But 2 days of being completely ignored is wrong. That says to me that she doesn't respect any of us.

I’m not saying she deleted the thread on purpose, but she has overstepped her bounds and/or been incredibly authoritarian before. When asked for clarification or why, she refuses to respond.

My days and nights are so switched and screwed up. I tried getting up at 8 instead of 10 the last 2 mornings and I just end up falling asleep. Then I'm up even later. Always been a night owl, had a hard time getting to work. I used to study all night in college, would start at 8 or 9. Just always been this way.

I was downstairs and made another pair of shorts, just need to finish the waist band and sew on the hook and eye, I'm waiting on. But being up all night has me losing a lot of the day. It's really aggravating and especially when my hubs is an early to bed, early to rise person, though he does stay up till 10 a lot of nights now.

I'm going to try a glass of warm milk and try going to sleep. I'm going to continue trying to change my bedtime and not fall asleep during the day, hope I can.

On another note, got Smokeys claws trimmed before I went downstairs. I had them all done but 2 and he got restless and meowy, so I loved on him a bit and he was purring when I did the last 2. If only we could get Tigger to calm down. Now he even knows what the scissors looks like and moves.

Next traumatic event is getting their flea treatment on both of them, oh boy.

If I did something like that, that is how I would feel.

Have you considered she might have been in a hurry and was leaving town or something so isn't home right now? Or does it also come up on her phone?

Good morning!

Since today is the first, I have bills to pay and the boy needs his meds and shot.  He's actually pretty good about getting his shot these days.  At first it was a challenge but I think he realizes it doesn't really hurt if he'll just hold still for me.

Other than that, not a lot on the agenda.  We have another slow week ahead of us so we'll try to get stuff done in the yard.  Hopefully we get some rain this week.  I thought we'd get some yesterday but it just spit on us for a couple of hours.  Nothing measurable unfortunately.

NIL's grandma has probably arrived in Kyiv by now.  Her son and his wife went to see her yesterday and got her to agree to take the train with them to Kyiv.  While no one in Ukraine is safe, she is no longer alone.  More and more people around her were leaving and the family really didn't want her alone in Odesa.  

NIL's mother was so happy to get a picture of her mother on the train and then a phone call from them.

I'm up, and working on getting caffinated. It's a busy day. Both DD1 and DS have sport-type things going on.

I should have had DH go grocery shopping yesterday. But, I think we needed a day.

It could be another rather short work week for me this week. So, I am trying to get some things done.

DD1 also spilled that she also has a gentleman caller. New of last night's hang out at the mall.

He did suggest, what I think is a lovely idea for a first date. He wanted to go mini-golfing with her. Apparently, the movies is the thing to do on first dates. I was like ummm, no. And then I reminded her that I was young once.

But, I feel pretty good. She told me right away when I picked her up last night, and she showed me the text that the nice young man sent to her.

I guess she had another boy interested in her, but she wasn't interested. That one, she kept to herself.

She is going to turn 15 this year. For some reason, that bothers the hell out of me. It is completely irrational. It's weirding me out more than DS (fingers crossed) leaving for school.

All of this dating talk makes me think of a poor boy in DS's 8th grade class. There were 40-some kids in that grade...13 or so were boys. One poor boy asked out all the girls, and was turned down. Apparently the legacy continued into 9th grade. There were two things that boy was synonymous with. The fact that he got turned down and the love of a particular sport.

WIbeth was part of the mommy board quite a bit. SUGI was over there sometimes. I think.she also used to hang out at thenEE Coffe shop.

Taking dd in to urgent care for her ankle. She has a good sized knot on her foot and she wouldn't play with the neighbor kids yesterday which should be all the "proof" I need to know she's hurt. So I'm coordinating what to do with ds.
