We have moved to a new villa, but not on the beach. However we have access to Wi-Fi, ac and if we chose to go, items at a bar 30’ from us. We can hang here until we leave.
Even with the spa products I bought (and I bought a bunch) my carry on bag is still not expanded. It is heavy though, and will need to be checked.
The staff keeps coming by to say they are sorry we are leaving. So am I! The place is fabulous, but the menu is limited (but good) and so is the dive operation. The breakfast bar always has about 5 different fruits on it, so I have eaten tons of pineapple. They also gave incredible oranges. Papaya is usually there too and TD likes it, I don’t.

raeoflyte When I was describing my two rooms to the organizer, she said she didn't work with hoarders. I told her I wasn't a hoarder, I am messy. When she got here, she agreed. She came with the agreement that if I was a hoarder, she was going to leave. Ever since I've had 3 bedroom homes, one room ends up looking like a storage unit. Currently only the basement looks like a storage unit and that's because DN3's stuff is down there. No word on my cousin except that he has Covid and was not vaccinated because he had no way to get there. I would have thought one of his sons or siblings could have taken him for that, but it's too late now.

So glad it's the weekend. I didn't really even work especially hard this week, but for some reason it seems like I did.
Anyway, we should have some good weather for outdoor activities all weekend.

Yep, I have done all that, unplugging, the whole ten yards. Out of the blue printed 2 schedules, now tells me it's offline? I have a letter i need to print. Likely will be sitting here and suddenly I will hear it printing. It will eventually work.
The computer is old, the software is too. I need to upgrade the software for sure and hate to. And the computer has a big screen, it's a desktop, I hate to let it go.

Yep, I have done that too, cleared the print que. I think part of it is it may not be linking up right. It's blue toothed and I see the next to the bottom light on the internet box blinking, it's always steady. Not sure what that one does, need to look up troubleshooting for this internet provider, but everything else is working. My internet is working as is the telly.
At least I have everything done for MIL, I will get it printed out eventually.
I was so cold this afternoon, my nose was cold. Yes, it was 72 in here, but we keep it 75 to 76 year around. I finally told hubs I'm turning on the heat, yep way too early but it feels so good. It's already 56 outside and a comfy 76 in here. It isn't running much to keep it warm. I just hate being cold. Took a hot shower too so that helped warm me up.
Haven't eaten much today so just had a small bowl of pineapple and cottage cheese. I wish it were fresh like Walks, so good in the tropics or anywhere they can get it fresh.

Just had some Tillamook mudslide ice cream for, let's call it, dinner. Finished putting together the 3-light floor lamp and the set of shelves in the office, plus planted some mums and pansies. Have yet to do: the dishes, laundry, unboxing of Stuff in the office, sifting through the suddenly out of season clothes. It'll wait. I did get some championship procrastination in.

Today can just suck it. I spent a half hour in the shower decompressing rather than drink. We found out stepmom's lung cancer is stage 3 and in-operable, my neighbor that I bought this land from in 94 passed away and my pony foundered again and is in a great deal of pain. It's been over a year and a half since it happened last time and he was doing so good. I wish I had half the strength of the rest of the women in my family, they deal with stuff so much better than I do. I just shut down when I'm overwhelmed.

Hugs mpl.
It's normal to shut down when we are overwhelmed.
My therapist suggested making a list of everything that's overwhelming me and go through it.
Cross off what I can't do anything about right now. Focus on what I can even if it's something really small.
That gives me back a sense of control.
It's not fool proof I got overwhelmed Wednesday trying to focus on my work performance and then the nursing home called.
But it's better than nothing.

Good grief, just having one of the above happen is bad enough, but all three in one day is downright shitty! Life truly sucks some days and can be so unfair. I can't tell you how sorry I am and hope your stepmom is at least a candidate for Chemo and that your pony recovers like he did last time.

MPL, sorry for all you are dealing with. You don’t have to be strong all the time, it’s ok to hand it off so you can cry/be mad/mentally check out, if only for a little bit.

TheOtherMe, did you find out more about your cousin? My family is so secretive, they would hide details that didn’t put someone in a good light. We would find out the truth years later.

When do kittens outgrow the allure of toilet paper? We have to keep our roll in the drawer because she makes a toy out of the paper. I haven’t had a cat since I was growing up, and I can’t remember the kitten stage!

If you are less than half as strong as other women in your family, then I'd hate to meet them unprepared. You are one of the strongest women I know. You handle so much so well and with such aplomb.

Good morning, inimitable invisipeeps, engaging in the world large and small. I hope your Saturday unfolds serenely and untroubled. Today I vow to finish all I failed to do yesterday. And play at the beach. And work a bit in the front garden. DH and I planted 2 mums and 3 pots of pansies yesterday. Because his grandfather and then father raised carnations commercially, he wants to plant some in a garden next year. He grew up across the street from acres of greenhouses incubating the flowers. I'll have to look up to see if I can get some as seeds for him to start indoors this winter. And find out if they can be perennial this far north. The sun rising yesterday had to first crack through a band of clouds sitting on the horizon.

Hi mamasita99 ! DD has 3 cats. She always keeps the bathroom door closed to prevent one of them from shredding the toilet paper. They are 3, 5 and 5 years old.

How your weekend improves, MPL.
ETA - And I can guarantee that every woman that you think is stronger than you had spent many times breaking down in the shower where no one could see.

I haven’t had a cat since I was growing up, and I can’t remember the kitten stage! My cats are 2 and 5, and we don’t need to close the bathroom door. We got the 5 year old cat when she was 1, and she never messed with it. We got the 2 year old cat when he was 2 months old, I don’t remember him messing with the toilet paper. He loves staring at the toilet bowel, especially after you flush the toilet. He’s still that way. Our 13 month old DD2 is the one who likes to mess with the toilet paper roll…. 🤣

So sorry for those who are having troubles. I hope today is a better day. We are in GA today for a family reunion and spending time with DH’s family too. We all went to lunch yesterday at a wonderful southern restaurant. We even had fried green tomatoes which were delicious!

exciting day for me today - deep cleaning. as in, move furniture and vac, take a magic eraser to the tub (the minerals in well water build up to make it slick), everything off the counters and stovetop flavor of cleaning. the pups are already over it lol...
