Not just young girls. Used to go to the village in NY with YDS for haircuts, shopping etc
He was tall blonde good looking kid and I became very uncomfortable with the men obviously looking at him and trying to talk to him . He was naive and didn’t get what they were saying even with his mom next to him
Stopped going there and when he went away to college he realized what was going on and could take care of himself

Just watched my MNPB artist do a two hour live set at a house party in Toronto. That was really fun!
However, my cats do not like my singing. Lucy had the same opinion.
I told them to layoff if they want to continue to eat.

One of my best friends was raped when she was in high school. Her mother, a progressive minded woman for the time, told her not to say anything to anyone and not to report it to the police because the victim would not be believed.
She was a nice white girl from a formerly well-off family that had fallen on difficult times.
I think of Christine Blasey Ford when people disbelieved her about Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulting her because she didn't go public until many years later; "why didn't she report it to the police?" Because it's he said/she said, and the tie always went to the man. Even when there's DNA evidence, it must have been consensual.

l got the wormer on the cats. They were not happy. Both happened to go in the laundry room so I shut the door. Got Smokey, Tig saw me coming and tried to shrink into the wall. Thankfully, neither tries to scratch or bite me, just want to get away. It was a big dose but went on quick. Tomorrow I am cleaning their litter boxes with bleach and cleaning all their bowls. Since they catch mice and stuff they will likely get them again but should clear them for a while.
Hubs is sleeping downstairs he thinks his mattress is causing his back to hurt. He is wanting to buy a new one. Like I told him good ones are expensive. The tempurapedics we have must be 20 years old and were $5k for both. The one downstairs is not a cheap mattress. He is under the delusion he is going to buy a good XL twin for about $300 to $500. I hate to see him waste that much then have to buy a good one anyway. He said the one the kids had is good, well yes, we bought it for their guest room and I got it on a big sale at Sears. It had been a really expensive one. Son just bought he and wifey new ones for a small fortune too. But you can't tell him. He just can't get with current prices, he understands about the cost of tools and vehicles, but household things, nope.
When I get one it will likely cost quite a bit and be another good one. I told him go to the furniture store in town and try theirs before buying.
Ok, to the bedroom to read for a while. DD and I are getting blood work done in the morning. Saturday I'm getting my hair touch up. Monday our teeth cleaned. DD and I both need hair cuts too.

90 min in the dental chair this afternoon and my mouth hurts right now. It didn’t after the work they did last week. I have 800 mg of ibuprofen on board and it’s not helping much.

Good morning, sagacious sylphs of Y Ma'am. Happy Friday. I hope yours proves to lighten your burdens and add no more of its own.
Today I may end up going back to Ikea. I mangled the last of 3 low bookcases when I was putting it together--I put the bottom piece on top and vice versa, then tried to undo it. So, need to replace that one and we needed to go back to get some units they were out of the other day. And, look up hacks to customize the billy bookcases with trim. So it goes. I also absolutely must bathe Franklin the Dog. He's got that summer dog smell.
Tomorrow I'll catch up with Andi, Chiver and others of the Massachusetts gang. Can't wait.

DD2 turns 1 today!! 🎉😱🎊🎂 Time flies! She’s definitely walking more on her own, but up to 4-5 steps as of yesterday.
When I left for work, she was sleeping on her stomach with her butt up the air. So cute!

Happy Birthday NERS! and TAZ- It is hard to believe DD2 is 1 already.
Giramomma I don't know what to tell you about your DD. My DD was Stalked her first year of college by her HS boyfriend. She was absolutely Terrified of him. She was so scared she was having panic attacks and ended up withdrawing for the semester. That was at the time the Dean's Husband was accused of Sexual misconduct with a student, and when DD went back later and wanted to file a restraining order the police had no record of the incident with him. Her RA called the police, it absolutely should not have been deleted, but they had no record of it. I think WW was worried about violating Federal laws and they made incriminating stuff vanish. After that DD got a gun and started to concealed carry. Self defense classes would be a good idea imho. My DD never did anything I suggested at that age though. Now she calls me nearly every day.

I suppose a perk for getting up and working at 5 am, is that you get 4 hours in by 9am. And that means less vacation time to burn through. But, I'm getting gassed here.
