Will do better tomorrow.
Breakfast is steel cut oats. Then lunch will be a salad with a bit of thin sliced ham. DD will have ceasar salad for lunch.
Not sure for dinner tomorrow night, we will see. I have 2 drumsticks left over and DD likes the tenderloin, so she can have that. DD will have ceasar salad for lunch.
I need to go to bed, watching another episode of Angel. Also, my Tigger is beside me asleep and Smoke is asleep in the other recliner. Soon as this one is over beddy by.
It ended up not raining today after all.
Tomorrow washing downstairs linens, maybe iron some shirts and pants of hubs. Need to get some corn to put up. Only going to do 6 dozen this year. And am I going to do relish? I need to.

Good morning, empathetic invisipeeps, sharing your worlds with this virtual universe. I hope your Friday sparks joy and peace in equal measure. Thanks, NastyWoman, now I want ice cream. Of course, I always want ice cream. It's a problem. There's a container of Brigham's mocha almond calling out to me from the freezer right now. Today I'll have to put away at least some of the box contents from the Pod and the cargo van. We're surrounded. I'm really glad I spent so much effort expelling Stuff before we moved to begin with. Yesterday I made plane reservations for DD to come visit at the end of August. Tomorrow I'll commune with nature and watch the sunset over the water from the hurricane barrier. And eat ice cream.

I slept like a rock last night, but still also want to go back to bed. I'm working on a cup of coffee right now, and I need to take a shower before mooch gets here. I never got around to doing that yesterday, and he'll be cutting my hot water to replace the water heater.
I'm hoping to hear from the dealership about my car today, but that's another $600 if they do call today. this week is expensive, oy.

We do enjoy some things like collard greens and black-eyed peas, but choose to sub in smoked turkey wings or necks for pork products in both. I favor a Goan-style recipe for black-eyed peas that involves coconut milk and enough hot peppers to make you forget about the lack of meat. I LOVE collard greens but they're getting expensive! My usual grocery store charged $1.50 a bunch, then significantly reduced the size of a bunch (by about 1/3) and now I see that last week they were "on sale" for $1.69 a bunch- "save 20 cents". Now when I want them I go to another local grocery that serves a poorer area of town where people probably wouldn't pay those prices. Heck, I remember when collards were "poor people" food before the nutritionists started singing their praises. I just stir-fry them with other vegetables in olive oil and add a little balsamic vinegar. On Monday I made a lemon chicken in a cast iron skillet on the grill. I LOVE my cast iron. I bought a set off e-Bay because DH wanted them. They were made in the 1950s by Griswold in Erie, PA. I mentioned it to my mother and she said her paternal grandmother and her sister (so my great-grandmother and great-great Aunt) worked as servants in the Griswold house and said they weren't very nice. Last week when I was in Pella with DDIL's extended family we each took turns cooking one night- for 15 people. I do NOT know how anyone plans meals 3 X/day (OK, breakfast is easy) for family. I tend to do something with vegetables when left on my own; DH cooked when we were married. Anyway, I made bean soup with a ham bone from the night before, a salad and corn bread in a cast-iron skillet. It was a great success, epecially the corn bread.

Hey chiver78, can you post the link for the fish oil you give your dogs again? The reason Astro went to the vet in the first place was for skin allergies. They gave him a very expensive shot along with the hole in his face. I want to try a different approach. He was so anxious being back in the vet's office yesterday!

Did you see a big difference? Astro isn't really bad, but I feel bad when he's sitting there yelping and scratching at the same time. Poor guy.

I'm taking dd and the 2 neighbor kids who are moving to one of those indoor/outdoor play places this morning. I really, really don't want to, but dd wants a big hurrah before they go. The kids are 9, 11, and 13. I'm pretty sure my 9yo is the most responsible of the bunch, but I don't think I'm going to follow them around. Park myself with a book and have them come check in with me every hour.
Then my 2nd iron infusion this afternoon.

Fighting with the washing machine. "My" washing machine is a frontloader. We've had it for more than a few years. We brought it with us when we moved. However, there were nice Maytags included with this new house. We didn't see a need to switch them out--in fact, the Maytags have many more settings that what we brought with us. Anyhoo, I put a queen-size blanket in the Maytag washing machine. The washer cannot seem to get through the load without shutting down from being unbalanced. I didn't have this problem with my front-loader.
The facilities staff very nicely asked me to not come into work today because all of the floors to get to my office are in the middle of being stripped and waxed. Oh, darn--a WFH day!

Dh is certain he can tell a difference in shedding and shine when he takes it or doesn't. I think trying a supplement is a good idea, but if he still has issues I'd take him to an allergist. There lies a very long, painful, and expensive road of food trials but end goal to find an eliminate the allergen can be worth it.

Was talking to someone at work about concerts starting back up again and how Amy Grant is on my bucket list before she retires. Every year about this time, I get excited to get an alert that she's going to be in StL. I get excited and then realize it's a Dec Christmas show. I'm bah humbug about christmas songs so a whole concert of them sounds dreadful.
I told work friend that I really should extend my tracker for her and hunt down a show within 5 hours. Found one in Henderson, KY which is 3 hours. I have Marriott points for the hotel. Two tickets are $90 all in. Now to find a friend to treat - I have one idea but not sure if she'll be able to get away as she has young kids.

It will taste better fresh.

Also looking for some tranquilizers for the missy. I am kidded out. DH and I couldn't even have a 3 minute conversation because child noise (from 3/4ths of my kids) was just too much.

I gave my brother a blow dart gun when I came back from Borneo. If he still has it do you want me to mail it to you? You'd have to get your own tranquilizer for it though.

Ugh. I have a lot on my plate this weekend. I want to get some hours on the clock because I'm so behind (already have 8 hours OT in this week), but both Saturday and Sunday are booked pretty full. Saturday I need to mow and go to a birthday party for ODS's sister (and get a gift!). Those two things will easily take up 6 hours with drive time. Sunday I am picking up Carrot from Grandparent camp 2 hours away and I'm sure there will be a couple hours of visiting and a meal in there minimum.
But, I also want to get my pop up camper out and get it cleaned up and assessed. I think I'm going to try and sell it in the next few weeks. I also have a show saddle that has been in my basement for years that has a layer of mold on it that I wanted to get cleaned up and try to sell. I haven't felt so broke since 2004/2005!

How big is your camper? Or do you have a model and a year.
