Pink Cashmere I've been chewing on your stories about Mister and the tobacco in the laundry and the whole trash issue. I am definitely a clean person, maybe more than some, but the trash issue is just BS pure and simple. I honestly can't imagine anyone who would allow a trash can to be overflowing and stinking, and then empty the can without picking up the circle of crap ringing it. As for the tobacco in the laundry, same thing. I bitch at DH for the occasional facial tissue in a pocket but I can see how a folded Kleenex down in a pocket might be overlooked. I can't for the life of me envision cigarettes in a pocket being overlooked and I was smoker for decades. I don't get the feeling that he's doing this stuff to piss you off on purpose BUT I also don't get the feeling that he's making a solid effort to understand how much it bothers you and take steps to rectify it. Just IMHO Idk what’s going on with him. I’ve been asking him and trying to figure it out on my own for 2 years now. I’m tired of trying to figure it out. I don’t think he really does it on purpose either, but I do think sometimes that he is rebelling and/or being passive aggressive. I also don’t think I am wrong for objecting to trash being all over the house either.

DH always sits at one end of the couch, and that end table ended up trashed all the time. So. much.clutter. I bought a basket to contain it all. That was soon overflowing. I finally quit complaining and took a picture of it. When I showed him the picture, it was like he was seeing it for the first time. It was all cleaned up the following day and I haven't said a word since. It's been about five years.

Survived another neighborhood Thanksgiving feast and came home with a certificate of recognition for my years on the board. I am very grateful for the honor.

I was in the bedroom when I heard ungodly screaming. It was Sushi, and one of his claws was stuck in the scratching post. I actually had difficulty getting out. Guess who is having his nails cut tomorrow morning?

so part of ds's job is to go over trade ins. which means he finds stuff, and finders keepers losers weepers. ds found a gc to olive garden with 20 on it, which will cover a plate . dh and i are eating out tomorrow night. date night! My realtor gave me a Panera GC at closing and said to have a coffee on her. I thought there was $5 or $10 on it. I randomly found it the other day. It has $50 on it. That will likely be tomorrow's dinner and at least a couple more meals. I'm feeling pretty broke right now with this new house nickel and diming me. I'll take all the free stuff I can get.

Trying to decide if I should just break down and give Carrot a credit card. It's getting to be such a PIA guessing how much money he'll need when away at meets. I already have a couple of them with his name on, but didn't want to go there until he was 16.

Today was good and bad. DD and I had eye exams, liked the optometrist. He said I have some cataracts that I've had for a long time and might cause glare issues but are not ready to be corrected. He said my eyes were very healthy, no glaucoma, nothing.
DD has cataracts!! He said they are different than mine and fast growing, he said one eye is ready to have surgery on now but the other isn't. We discussed it and I said for her why not wait and have both done at once. She will have to go to Seattle and be sedated totally to be done, not awake. And since she doesn't have to drive or anything we can get that out of the way. However, I wonder if they will do it with her afib and other issues. They won't even do a colonoscopy on her. So we are having her rechecked in 6 months. But the good news is our prescriptions have not changed a lot so it was up to us to get glasses now or not. Since her eyes will change with surgery we will wait and see. It was $177.40 each so not bad. He also gave me a dentist name he has heard is good and was going to try himself, so 2 wins. They also straightened my crooked attachments on my glasses so now I can see out of them again, I love this pair.
I asked DD are her eyes causing her problems in walking and she said yes, so that might explain some of that.
Reading a book right now. I found a writer Elizabeth Peters in some of the books I had so I'm starting with number 1. This is the 2nd I've read Called Street of the Five Moons. She wrote these in the 70's, some murder mysteries, but the kinds I like, pretty fast reading.
It was crazy city here today, went to Costco and it was packed lines way back, so just went to the pharmacy and elsewhere. I went to Fred Meyers, almost as bad. Walmart was ok, so we finally got done and went home.
