After making breakfast, I went to the farmers market today and got tamales for the freezer, a lovely butternut squash, and some Turkish pastries for breakfast.  Then I spent several hours working to share information and access to provide comments about a draft ordinance involving short-term rentals (aka Airbnb, VRBO, etc) which could potentially be of great benefit to my neighborhood.  

We have been invited to a posada on December 3, I will attend and DH can make his own decision. I consider the invitation a great honor although I no longer worship in that faith.

We had a visit today from son, he shaved all his hair off. He has before, last time was when he was to go overseas, makes me wonder, but I didn't ask. He said when in Korea he let it get really really long and twice donated it to Locks of Love for them to make wigs for cancer patients. But he said it wasn't long enough this time. To me he looks really good this way, I like it much better.

DIL told me her mom had fallen yesterday and thought she had sprang her foot. She wouldn't go to the doctor, so they were calling family and all. I guess a neighbor finally took her and she has broken her hip. Now both sisters are worried and talking about getting her a green card. Like son said it may be too late to try and get one now with all the anti-immigrant stuff going on. He said she may end up living with them or her other daughter. Wow, they are going to end up with both sets of grandparents old at the same time. They are younger than us though, but dil said people in Russia age faster.

Dinner tonight was pretty good. We had fried potatoes, hamburgers and cheese burgers, beef rice a roni, and a vegetable plate. The kids said they were hungry and then didn't eat that much. Well hubs and I were. I also found out kim chee is very good with hamburger, yummy.

About time for my bath. Need to close the blinds and drapes, its col out again tonight.
