i came back into the kitchen from puttering around the house and stopped at the laptop to check the score of the football game in Germany. well, I happened to look out the front window and K across the street is giving Mr Crazy pants the what all for blowing all of his leaves out into the street towards her place. I missed a text from her, asking if I saw "what that ass was doing?!" lol... I can't wait to hear what she said to him.

I guess it's a nice enough day outside but I decided to spend it inside vacuuming. I now have 2 pissed off cats, one who looks at me like "what?" and the 4th who doesn't give a shit and is just staying upstairs. Took a break to eat a couple of mushrooms and guess I better get back to pissing off cats. The catnip was out of control!! And the tumbleweeds and the litter and why do I have cats again? Neat and clean, they are not!!!

Mine started talking to my dad and her parents. They'd all been dead for years. It was a tad weird to be in on those conversations.

Almost forgot to pay quarterly property tax and sewer bill I could pay property tax online via checking account with no charge ($4700). But to pay sewer bill ($188) there’s a fee of 2% for checking and higher for cc
So I’ll drive by tomorrow and drop off sewer bill check
Annoying especially with the difference in amounts

about to detangle and style my hair. It's been natural for a little over 2 years and I'm over it. I have an appointment next month to start dreadlocks. I've seen so many women make it really cute, so I know I can pull it off. And I'm looking forward to gaining back the 1-1.5 hrs a week I'm spending detangling and styling.

I spoke at my dad on the phone before his passing because it was easier for him. Andi's post reminds me of the time I rushed home and did not get to talk to him. He was suffering and the nurse had given him stuff to sleep, and he was sleeping. Some transitions are not easy. I agree that her aunt probably knew she was there.

Thank you for mentioning property taxes. I always forget about them and the mail is sketchy so I appreciate being able to utilize your post as a reminder. Also, even though the second half is not due until spring, I go ahead and pay the whole thing now so that I can't forget again.

I have all of this stuff on my cell phone calendar but my cell phone died a few months ago and I have had issues reconstructing it. Anyway, thanks again JerseyGirl and my California property taxes are paid for the next year - all $275.

Ted Lasso was great and I'm excited there may be a season four .

Another plug for Slow Horses.  Absolutely love the series and the books are just as good.  My only quibble, is when they deviate from the books for no obvious reason!  I get when they do it for the sake of making it better for a TV audience but there have been a few changes that weren't for the best.

My husband and I also really enjoyed Bad Monkey and Bad Sisters.  Both very different but also darkly comedic murder mysteries.

YD spent the night with her boyfriend last night, so somebody (not me!) actually could’ve slept in her bed last night. Her bedroom and bed have always been off limits, even when she was hundreds of miles away at college and we had more people in our home than beds, including when Mister’s Dad was here. 

Even though I was angry enough a couple nights ago to tell Mister to get tf out of our bedroom so I could go to sleep after I was done arguing with with him, some things have happened that make me not feel like this is “our” house, like it was really supposed to be. It is his house, I just live here. I do fight about things regarding it being my home, but I have accepted that it’s his house and not ours, and that I made some mistakes moving here with him. 

So the bottom line is that I really can’t tell him where he has to sleep in his house. I can raise hell, and do when I feel like I have to, but the reality is that it’s his house and he can sleep wherever he wants to. If certain beds are off limits and he is okay with that, there is really nothing I can do about that. 

So imma just say that there is a saying that the left hand doesn’t need to let the right hand know what it’s doing. That can work for good or bad. I’m not the kind of person to mistreat anyone or try to get over on them. I really do try to treat people the way I’d want them to treat me. But I’m also not the dummy some people think I am when they mistake my kindness for stupidity. I am also not so evolved yet, despite my best efforts to be the best me that I can be, that I won’t play chess when people insist on trying me and playing checkers. And that’s all imma say on that. 

The bolded part brings to mind your mother's appointment to see the senior apartment.  Did she ever do that? 

She hasn’t said anything about it, so I doubt it.

Today is the second time in a week that I’ve been sitting on the deck with the dogs and we all heard some commotion somewhere behind our house at the same time. When I looked up, I could see who was being loud, and I immediately stood up and told the dogs “shhhh”, because I didn’t want them to bark and that person look over and see me.

Somehow, the dogs understood what shhhh and me whispering to them meant. They were alert and doing all the things they normally do when something gets their attention, but they didn’t bark. Even though he did exactly what I wanted him to do by not barking, I think Boy got confused about me shushing him and whispering to him, because he finally just ran back on the deck and sat in front of me, staring at me like he was waiting for me to tell him what to do. When I went and sat back down, he was still sitting in the same random spot, so I called him over and petted him while telling him what a good boy he was. 

We just heard somebody yelling again, a few minutes ago. I told them shhhh, and got up to see if I could see anything. They did not bark. I couldn’t see anyone this time.

I am kind of amazed that they didn’t bark either time. They bark when they see people wayyyy over there, walking on the street, they bark at squirrels and cats. They don’t bark randomly though, it’s always because they see or hear something. The other day was the first time I’ve ever tried to prevent them from barking. I am glad and proud that they somehow knew what I was asking of them. It’s not something I will do when they see a squirrel or whatever just because I don’t want to hear them barking. I don’t want to teach them that barking is bad. But sometimes, like in those 2 instances, it’s better for them to do their thing without making noise and drawing attention to us.

Got my wedding rings back. They look fantastic it's been awhile since I saw them so clean and shiny.

They also fit again. I only had to go up about a size from 4.5 to 5.5.

My grandma's ring will be ready next weekend they are still waiting on the replacement stone.

Can't wait to see it fixed. I've felt so naked without my rings. I rarely take them off. 2006 and 2008 so almost 20 years.

I got up around 8:30 this morning and sorted my clothes to start doing laundry before I even left the bedroom or had coffee. I was mostly moving from that point, until about 3:30pm. 

I had not washed my clothes in a couple of weeks. My hamper was overflowing and I had a pile of clothes in the floor next to it, in our closet. I’d started wearing clothes to work that I don’t normally wear to work, because all of my “work clothes” were dirty. 

What that really means is that it’s true that I have way too many clothes, even though I still have trouble getting dressed for something outside of work, because nothing fits right now that I have acquired a big belly. I am a jeans and t-shirts kind of person, and even when I ran out of my “work” jeans, I still had more than enough jeans to wear to work. I also didn’t even make it halfway through my bra and panty drawer (it’s a big drawer), even though I had to start wearing stuff that is not my everyday comfortable stuff. 

I also shampooed my hair today. I tapped out before I got to the stuff I want to get done around the house before I go back to work Wednesday. I have to work my side gig tomorrow, but it’s only for a few hours, and hopefully I can finish laundry and start on the household shit when I get back home. 

Mister isn’t working tomorrow because of the holiday. Kiddo is spending the night again tonight, which means I have to share a bed with Mister again tonight.

I got another box from Amazon today I did not order. It's replacement cartridges for a Brother printer, 4 of them. I'm sure they aren't cheap either. I will report it again, I have no idea where this stuff is coming from!!

We got the kitchen washed down today and the top of the cabinets, very very dirty. As hubs said the dirt and grease up top was just rolling up on his rag. We used ammonia, vinegar, and Dawn power wash, much better now. Will paint tomorrow.Then the laundry room. Since he has to take out the old medicine cabinets and drywall where the little ones were not ready to do those. So maybe will work on the office. I need to see if I can color the dark navy blue paint. He also replace the old greasy recessed light with a new one that is white.

I want to price countertops but waiting until the inspection is complete on the modular and see if they want things fixed. Don't know what it could be, but will likely find something.
Hubs said maybe just paint the cabinets, but I really don't want to do that. To me that is a last resort for cabinets that are at the end of their life and next they will be replaced.  It's time consuming but I have done it both ways, many a time.

Since everything is made in China I told hubs we better buy our flooring and anything else we want that is imported. We ordered him a new leather recliner yesterday, he sure tears them up. I hope since he lost weight that he will be easier on them.
