I am feeling that way, giramomma (preparing for violence), and I don't think it will be over until January (if it ever truly is over). I hate driving during Trick or Treat because kids are very unpredictable, they are excited to get to as many houses as they can, and sometimes their vision is restricted by masks or parts of costumes.

The peanut now has pants for school. They can't wear short until march 1.
Off to work on supper.

I buy their turkey meatballs! I think they are the best I have had of the store-bought versions.

Enjoying a few Reese's PB cups as a reward for my third place age group finish racing this morning. Laundry running and will put a lasagna in the oven later on for dinner.

Checking prescriptions online and we have refills left of both meds to taper. Whew! Haven't managed to make it to pharmacy yet bc I want to take teen with me both to get better answers and to help her understand how to work with pharmacist to understand her meds bc the anti-depressant will likely be ongoing for quite a while yet.
We've decided that once she celebrates 17th birthday, we are going to use countdown app to track how many days until 18th when she will be out from under nut's control.

So, Carrot either got the time or the place wrong for the concert because the theatre was empty. 🤔
We went to Culver's instead...

My migraine came on so quickly last night it scared me. I went from no pain to a 10 within a half an hour. Just before I had went down to the tree house with DH to check out his new lights in the dark. They were set on red and when you turned them to either brighter or dimmer they flashed for a few seconds. I've never had issues with things like that before but since my latest bought with Covid I am having neuropathy issues, so maybe it is related?
I really don't need this right now. I also need to find a new PCP as the last was bought out by the local hospital and I am not a fan.

So, feedback on this: The cream cheese mixture was too much. We would do about half called for. I would also put the cream cheese on the garlic bread first. I found it to be fussy trying to spread it on top of loose cheese. Alternatively, we would skip the cream cheese altogether. The meatballs we had on hand were the ones that are roughly 1” in diameter. DH said they were barely warm even adding 10 minutes to the cook time (I didn’t have meatballs, I opted for thick sliced mushrooms, which was really good). Next time I make them, I will let the meatballs get to room temp.

It’s a bad sign when you can’t tell whether you’re puking from the stomach bug or the migraine… Luckily the local cvs had my migraine med in stock and were even able to push through an insurance override. Still not back to normal but pain level way down. I’m hopeful tomorrow might not be a lost day. Watching lions-packers and amusing myself by saying awww, both qb’s have thrown a touchdown for the lions

We are having a November day. Yuck. Same. I want to clean up the paw prints on the floor, but they'll just be replaced with more the next time the twins go out. It's supposed to rain 5 of the next 7 days. Did you see the video on The Woof World (Facebook page). The woofWorldTV on YouTube? The dog comes in the house, turns on the water for the doggy foot bath, sticks in his front paws, turns around and washes his back paws. Then, he barks to let his owner know he’s ready to be dried off.

Winding down and getting ready to start a new week very early Monday morning. Mondays I work with my supervisor at an office 25 miles away. The traffic is crazy. At least is once a week.
I want to go to bed early because of the hour change today. I always get a little disoriented with that. Plus, there's more accidents the day after hour change, so I want to leave early and drive slowly. I wish we didn't do this anymore.
For the first time ever, CT allowed early voting this election. I voted last Sunday, and it was a breeze. Mail in ballots was a thing during the pandemic only. Allowing absentee voting was on the ballot this election as a change to CT's constitution. I voted yes for that.
The news said not many people took advantage of early voting.
I hope they keep it. It made voting so easy. Until now I had to vote on election day, in person. I am now fortunate enough to work from home some days. But still, they changed my voting location and it's further away. Plenty of folks don't have the ability to work from home and voting in person on a workday is difficult. When I was working 100% in person, I barely made it before closing time.
For being a progressive state, CT has been in the dark ages regarding early voting and absentee voting until now.

Tomorrow my old man author is coming by with yet another revision of his autobiography. And I have very mixed feelings about that. I must set hard boundaries on my time, but I realize that he can't comprehend or remember them. I'm going to take the Halloween stuff back to the storage locker tomorrow afternoon and get some gas in my car b/c there's likely something tropical in the Gulf later in the week and Tuesday is supposed to be rainy. I'll hit up the liquor store too just in case

I am over this rain, but the rain is not done yet. The sump pump is running non-stop.
I am not doing well with the time change. I never do and this year is no exception.
I don't understand why Amelia thinks she has to wake me between 5 and 6 AM. The food comes from an automatic feeder and has nothing to do with me. She ends up getting negative attention and I eventually go back to sleep.

Lots of people get triggered by light but definitely weird that it would start up as a trigger all of a sudden. I always figure migraines are related to dilated blood vessels/insufficient blood pressure in your brain with a nasty positive feedback loops, not sure how neuropathy would tie in? Which probably reflects my lack of knowledge more than anything. Edit: blood vessel dilation is old and busted, inappropriate stimulation of the nerves of the meninges is teh new hawtness, esp via CGRP and AMY1 apparently. Neuropathy for the loss. Covid still sucks.

DH cued up an Allison Krauss cd today, so tonight I poked around and found some YouTube videos of her performing. One was a cover of Seven Spanish Angels, and another was her with Robert Plant doing Please Read the Letter. It was good. weltz Music always makes me think of you - please check in when you can

Last night when I was getting ready to take a shower to go to bed, I had a vulnerable moment with something I said to Mister. His reaction and what he said made me very angry and I made it clear that it made me angry and walked away. He came to the bedroom behind me, trying to explain, I told him I didn’t want to hear it, I was taking a shower and going to bed. After I took a shower I went to the kitchen to get some water and he was sitting in the den, which I walk through to get to the kitchen. When I was headed back to the bedroom, he asked if I needed anything. Which pissed me off even more. I said no. He said, if you did, would you tell me? I said “absolutely not” and kept walking. I was thinking about it on my way to work this morning, and remembered how, when I was single, I use to say that many men seem to like it when a woman is mean to them. I thought about that because the reason I got got even more pissed off when Mister asked me last night if I needed anything, was because he hasn’t asked me anything like that in a couple of years, so don’t ask me now when I am very clearly mad at you. He called me while I was at work today, something he stopped doing a long time ago, and asked if I was still mad at him. Yep. That also rubbed me the wrong way, because don’t try to be nice to me now, when I’m angry, and do things you haven’t done in a long time, while you were being an asshole, and I was trying to still be peaceful because of all the shit you had going on. When I got home from work, the kitchen was spotless (it was a wreck when I left home this morning, I haven’t been keeping it clean since my stomach started acting up) and the floors in the kitchen, laundry room and den had been cleaned. YD left yesterday and just got home a few minutes ago, so he is the one that cleaned. He even cleaned the shelves in the refrigerator, which means they were nasty enough that I noticed they’d been cleaned. No one has EVER cleaned the refrigerator here, but me, and that was on my to do list for my days off work this week. I feel like the cleaning he did today while I was at work, was another effort to try to appease me, since he’s not been cleaning anything for over a year now. I’m not going to give him a cookie for it, or even acknowledge it, because that’s what he should do anyway. He also has a beef roast prepped to put in the slow cooker tomorrow morning before he leaves for work. All of that is stuff he use to regularly do anyway, tend to me and help with stuff around the house, even though I did most of the cleaning. He has been such an asshole lately, that I am kind of surprised that it even mattered to him that he pissed me off last night. Anyway, my stomach is still rebelling, but not as much as when it first started and I am even more happy than usual that today was the last day of my work week, because going back to work before my stomach really settled down, has been horrible. I have to be at my side gig at 7am tomorrow, no later than 7:30. Which feels really early for me, even though for years, I had to be at work at my real job at 6am, until they changed my work hours last year. Now, I have no idea how I use to get up at 4 or 4:30am to go to work lol. Last week, I had a Doctor appointment at 8:15am and I was bent out of shape while I was preparing to get there in time, thinking, how the fuck does anyone think it is reasonable to have to get up and get somewhere this early in the morning. I have obviously never been a morning person lol. All the years I was reporting to work at 6am, I was just doing what I had to do. I did like getting off work early in the afternoon though. I am done rambling now.

I'm still cleaning up from the flood. Stick a fork in me I am done. I just got out of the shower and I just about melted. There is finally some sense of order returning to the house, though.
