DD1 takes 2 gymnastics classes every week. The place she goes to is now offering adult gymnastics classes. I’m actually thinking of taking them but I'm afraid how out of shape I’ll be for them and could be the oldest person in the class (I’m 45). DD1 thinks I should do but I haven’t asked DH’s opinion yet. In the next few months, I’ll think I’ll sign DD2 up for gymnastics classes. We’ll see what times are available when I think she’ll handle it well. She’s 3 now and doesn’t listen the best at the moment. Um, no, DD2 is in no way old enough to be in gymnastics! She is still a baby! How is she 3 already
I think you should at least try a class to see if you like it.

Happy Saturday, everyone!
We're at home this weekend with lots of chores to do. It's been lovely fall weather this week. I brought in what is probably the last bouquet of the cutting flowers last night. I miss the warmth of summer, but the changing colors are beautiful. I might take a picture of our cyprus & maple border to share with you.

For no particular reason, I woke up at 3:30 AM. Cats were sound asleep so it was not them who woke me. I haven't been back to sleep and I'm feeling it.
I got up and peed and that did make the cats get up and they had to play for a bit with the recycling stuff I put by the garage door to take out this morning. I could not get back to sleep although they both returned to me and went to sleep.
The recycling is in the garage bin now. I've picked up a prescription and my chai.
I think I may see if I can take a short nap.

I think you know that I have all kinds of cousins. One died when she was 2 of type 1 diabetes long before I was born. Her great nephew knows that I'm doing family research and he messaged me to see if I could send any photos of her as he hasn't seen very many.
All of the photos are backed up on hard drives or the cloud. I found the photos. She was such a cute little girl. I sent them to him last night and he said he had only seen the couple I had put on FB.
My aunt lost her first two children, inluding this one, to illnesses that would probably have had a different outcome today. She lost her adult son to cancer many, many years ago now. She didn't talk about her grief but I know she had to suffer. Mom and my aunts said she didn't talk to them about it either.
He said he wanted to use his great aunt's name for the middle name of his first child and his grandma asked him not to. She told him it was cause her too much pain. He and his wife honored that request.
All three of their daughters are named for things about the Iowa Hawkeyes football team. They managed to spell words backwards and come up with cute names.
He said he talks to his daughters about his great aunt and two great uncles. I told him it is good to keep their memory alive even if her never met the two babies.

I noticed my first gray hairs at 26. Now I'm pushing 40 and get my hair colored on the regular. I have very dark brown hair, and while my gray does stay in one area right now, I don't feel like going natural just yet. I would love to go natural, but my grays have no texture so they stick straight out!

Azucena- I'm glad you are having moments of lightness and happiness.
I have my new car. Her name is Vi. I have never named a car before. Nor have I loved a car like this before. I made some big post about sex and intimacy and then I lost it.
It's a lot to work through.
I am delighted with your new relationship - Vi sounds like a keeper to me. Tell her hello from my Lizzie

bean29 Any updates about your mother? taz157 Don't overthink this. Say you're going to try one class to see if you like it. If you don't feel comfortable, or is too much for you, just say it's not for me.

Well, yesterday was a blast. We left the brewery past 11 and the band was still going strong. It was a Stevie Nicks tribute band. The singer sounded exactly like her. After about 10 you could see some people were getting drunk and it was obvious there was more than alcohol involved. This includes someone at my table. I started getting agitated because I don't do alcohol or drugs. But then I told myself, what do I care. I'm not consuming, nobody has become aggressive, just a lot of giggling.
This morning has been a rough start. I'm not used to being out late anymore. Tina is looking at me like thinking is she not going to play with me today?
Don't have the energy, lol.
I paid bills. Now I'm going to get my @@@ss in gear and do something around the house.
I'm leaving at 4.20 to see a lantern lights display and then dinner.
So I should get a move now if I intend to get something done.

I'm a little worried about a couple of things.
One and foremost, the title for my car. I paid off the car loan on Oct. 12 and they said they will mail me the title. Should arrive in 2 weeks or less they said. Yesterday was 1 week and 6 days so I called the lender. They told me they mailed it on Wednesday 23. So, it should be here already. The problem is I live in a condo and we have slots for our mail. I don't know what's wrong with the postal service, because each slot has the unit number, but they put correspondence in the wrong slot ALL THE TIME. I get letters for other units constantly, and I just bring them to their door. But not everybody does that. I remember when I was doing my citizenship back in 2011. I got all the correspondence from Immigration no problem. Not even a concern that some document may not arrive. How has the postal service become so unreliable that you have to be on pins and needles waiting for important documentation and it may not arrive? I called the finance institution yesterday and asked what happens if my title doesn't arrive. They told me to wait until Monday and then give them a call if it's not here by then. But I don't know what will happen if it doesn't arrive Obviously I need to have the title.
The other thing is I transferred my old HSA balance from the old job to a newly created Fidelity HSA. I initiated the transfer about 2 weeks ago. Why then, does Fidelity say the money should be in my account October 31? Really, 3 weeks for a transfer? It's 43k and it's been in limbo since mid October. Rationally I know the money is safe and will arrive eventually, but it worries me and I check the account everyday.

I'm not ready to go grey either. Part of the barrier for me is that DH has commented numerous times in the last 20 years on women's grey hair and "why would they let that happen when they don't have to?". It's one of his stereotypical white male boomer mindsets. He's pretty liberal and progressive in most ways; I try to let this one go.

They can't just ACH it out of your other account like doing a bank transfer and after they send the request to transfer to your other account the original account holder may drag their feet. HSA Bank blew them off so long one time that Fidelity had to escalate with additional requests and phone calls. Then they mail a check. It's painfully slow.

I started getting gray hairs in my mid twenties, but now at 55 it's not much more than it was then and my hair is so many shades of brown that it just kind of looks like highlights. When I got married in 2009 the hairdresser just some more streaks of blond in rather than color it.

My mother started to go grey early, like 20s. I didn't start until late 40s. For the longest time I could buy a box of semi-permanent reddish color (fades/washes out over time) and it would color the grey without coloring the dark brown of the rest of my hair. Then the grey got to be too much so I went for DIY permanent color in the box. I gradually started going to the salon for permanent color and highlights.
During the pandemic I let it grow and when the salons opened again I had all the color stripped from my hair and then went lighter. The color now is pretty close to my root color. I still get it colored but people have said they didn't know I colored my hair, it looks natural. The stylist says I could stop coloring it and it would look great but I'm reluctant.
I think as we get older, the very dark hair of our younger years starts to look like a dye job.
