Even though I still feel like crap physically, I am happy to be able to say that I feel pretty good mentally. I don’t want to jinx it, so I’ll just leave it at that. I have a Doctor appointment tomorrow morning to address the physical stuff.
Mister and his brother have decided to not interfere with their Aunt’s desire to sell the house. I don’t think they are in a hurry to help her figure the potential problems out though, since she is not being upfront with them about why she’s asking them to sign papers. Brother is adamant though, that if he does have an interest in the house, he wants his share of the proceeds whenever she does sell it. Mister says he doesn’t want any money, but I told him that it’s highly likely that she’s going to need some help in the future, so he should consider getting his share (if any), even if he just puts it aside for when she circles back around with another mess. I am almost certain that’s going to happen, no matter how much money she gets from selling the house.

Mister is upset with Kiddo’s Mom again. I understand his POV, but his feelings don’t change the fact that Kiddo is his child.
So because she doesn’t want to deal with Kiddo (my words), she wants him to spend some nights here during the week. I told Mister if they do that, I am fine with it. I’ve always said I was good with Kiddo living with us full time. I told him that if he gets Kiddo up and ready, I can drop him off on my way to work. But not on my days off work. I also told him I will get back to meal planning, which I’m planning to do anyway, so that Kiddo can have dinner. But since I get home so late now, idk who’s going to actually cook dinner on my work days, unless they want to eat around 9pm, since I’m not coming in the door from work and going straight to the kitchen to cook.
So I offered my help if Kiddo does start spending nights here during the week, but also with some boundaries.

You could start it in the morning before you leave for work. or, you could assemble a casserole and put the baking instructions on it - Bake at 350* for 50 minutes, etc.

I really need life to slow down a little.
I also need them to finish cleaning the bathroom close to where I am working. You do not need to close the women's and men's side the entire time. If I have to walk to the bathroom further away, Ima keep walking right out the door. I need to check into the hotel and get settled anyway.

So, while those are good ideas, I won’t tell Mister that I’m going to do that. If I do it sometimes, good, I just don’t want there to be the expectation. That is a sign that my therapy is working lol. Mister use to do most of the cooking. He can get back to that and some other things he use to do around the house. There is also another young adult in the house that can pitch in and help with some things. I threw my cape away, I’m not interested in trying to do everything myself, when I don’t live by myself. I can cook on my days off work. Mister can cook on weekends (his days off work, I work weekends). That leaves us 3 days to figure out.

Pink - I am glad you are feeling better mentally. I hope the physical stuff begins to work itself out.
I hope things go well with Mister's Aunt and with the kiddo. I think your guidance on both issues is right on point.
I went to Soma on my lunch hour to exchange some Undies I bought on sale last month/return some. I also treated myself to an unplanned purchase of a new bra. They had some very pretty new colors. It is like a deep plum color. I am going to go back and look at a jacket they had on display, I wanted to get back to the office without going over my allotted lunch hour.

Made breakfast, reported low-hanging tree hitting my car on street, made DH return the stuff to Amazon he had to have that didn't work, did bookkeeping, and talked to VW trying to translate the various emails I got and what I had to do for the 2 cars. After lunch we stood in line 40 minutes to vote because the line wrapped all around the building. Many of us in line agreed that the little "I voted" sticker you get should be replaced with Tylenol for many of us.

There are "technological upgrades" going in the public space next to my office. It sounds like a wrestling match with electric drills. I'm not sure what they are doing in there.

DH and I voted yesterday at our courthouse. I'm always glad to see lots of people showing up to vote. According to this morning's newspaper, there was a record first day turnout in my county.
I am seriously worried about this election.

Can you mail in? With so many voting early and mail in maybe the actual Election Day voting is less crowded?

Today was actually second day of early voting, just a heavy turnout at one of the more popular locations. I heard from a friend that another, less central location was walk right in, no waiting. I think Election Day will still be very busy, but hopefully not disastrously so. The machines were working really well, it's just a very, very long ballot since we elect all the judges this year. The mail-in ballot actually took TWO Forever stamps this year I'm told.

I ordered groceries last night, so much easier than shopping. I think I'm still under my allotted $900 but not by much. If I have to will add a $100 to that budget. We have abut $300 in eating out and haven't done it much. One time was $100.
We are painting today, hubs is doing the darker yellow and I'm going to do white around the windows. the yellow I bought for the darker yellow is not dark enough, the sample looked the same but no! It's a small area so we can repaint and get it darker. I don't like it, but its just the 3 small walls around the entrance way and an area over the fireplace.
I posted a picture of son, DIL, and baby when I went to Korea to see him. He was the cutest tiny little thing. It was on the mantle and I was looking at it.
Got to get busy, been doing laundry, cooking bean soup, will make corn bread later. The sun is out and pretty. I told hubs, see it doesn't rain everyday.
I am listening to Obama speak, I love to hear him talk. And he is funny, he will start laughing at funny things he says. He is just damn good, wish he could be in again. What charisma he has.

Went to the vote drop box and its moved, but we have another place close to home, so will go there this afternoon and drop our ballots.
Hubs got his drivers license last week and his registered ballot came yesterday, wow! they make it easy here.

GA actually had a law on the books that made it illegal to provide food and drinks to people waiting in line to vote. Last I knew, there was a movement to overturn he law, but idk where it stands now. Anyway, all that to say that long lines happen, more than people are aware of. esp if we don't have that where we live.

I finally got around to making pozole today, mostly bc the ribs were dated today and I just couldn't punt it again. so I started the pork boiling when we got back from a midday adventure, and have been babysitting the pot all afternoon during my hell production call. I'm back outside for the end of my work day. I get to shred a report that I'm supposed to sign for, but it's seriously lacking. I know, soon to no longer be my problem. but it's that bad.

I did early voting about a week ago. It was at the county office. I walked right in and was done in five minutes.
We just had a few judges up for retention.

The electing of judges all the way from the State Supreme Court down to the Justices of the Peace in a HUGE county makes for a very long ballot every four years. It's been very helpful here that we can now vote anywhere in the county, not just in the area closest to our home, so if there's a polling center near your office or next to the grocery store, you can use that too. It doesn't matter so much to us, but it's a real help for those who are still working or in school.
