This is my current situation with Newbie and she’s on my bed. I’m not going to kick her off, I will keep checking in her until I fall asleep. And I am about to try to go to sleep now. Talk to y’all tomorrow! She's so cute.

I have utilities and movers set up for the new house. I can't wait for this whole thing to be done.

Got a msg two hours ago that oral surgery is cancelled yet again. Anesthesia ruled teen too risky for their facility bc of her BMI. WHAT THE EVER LIVING FUCK! Teen was obese when they saw her back in July. You can bet I called them back and told manager how much pain and struggle their ineptitude has caused. They agreed that their process of Anesthesia not reading chart until day before is not great.
At this point after months of back and forth, their admin knows my voice when I called back and asked that they just let bio nut know it was unsafe without mentioning BMI. Admin said she "couldn't find bio number." Bio has harped on weight literally every time we've had to see her except this week bc she may have read my vibe that I'm done playing nice. If bio calls there though they will have to tell her.
Picked teen up from school 20 mins after the call and barely composed myself. She's absolutely devastated. I barely managed to get her in the car to go to therapy.
I've been told that I need to start over with dental appts at Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital. I called at 4 and of course they were already closed for the day. I've told teen that if I get the runaround and wait for appt, I'll start asking about what happens if we show up at emergency room.
Teen and I both know that if she ends up admitted to the hospital that bio could deny discharge to me. Praying and praying that it can be done as outpatient.
How can this possibly be real life? This young lady needs to catch a break.

What a long and twisty road you and BT on are, azucena. Seems so unfair. Some people just have the toughest road to navigate. So sorry for all involved.

Life really does hand out circumstances to some people that are beyond comprehension. BT has suffered so long with this. I have no advice of how to navigate this. I wish the best for BT, you azucena and the rest of your family. Bio mom should not be allowed to have children.

Try calling the hospital ombudsman Acuzena.
I know it's yet another person but their entire job is to help Navi situations like this. You may get further than just talking to the office administrators.

We went to Olive Garden for dinner. Worst place in the world to go to eat if you're trying to lose weight. There was no making healthy choices there. DS gets his keys tomorrow morning and we can start unloading stuff so we can quit this driving two vehicles everywhere. Right now, neither one of them can accommodate more than two people so I'm constantly following him around town in the van that I can't see out of any of the back windows due to it being packed. Makes for some fun lane changes!

This next sentence is completely self-centered and has nothing to do with anything posted here as I’ve not read anything from today yet.
Human interaction is so hard! Why can’t people just understand the actual intent of what someone is trying to say!!! Aggghhhh. I was trying my best to be clear. Aaagghhh. I want to hide in my bed!!!

Hugs communication is hard. I am fortunate I work in a place where we can talk about our preferences and mo. I asked about that pretty extensively in my interview.

Good morning, indefatigable invisipeeps, wrestling with medical mires, logistics of moving, weather damage and myriad other issues. Welcome to Friday. I hope your day finds you relief from your burdens as answers are found and solutions executed and progress made. Friday means the weekend is upon you which is cause to celebrate. This morning as soon as Franklin the Dog and I get back from the beach we're all leaving to go leaf peeping up in the "mountains" of Massachusetts. We won't get back until quite late. This should be fun. Yesterday was a good day with small victories. I made it to Costco which took only 20 minutes to march through and pick up what we needed. Plus I replaced the bulbs on our headlights, not too well at first--they were too dim--but I went to the local mechanic and they took a look, reached in and placed the bulbs again. Now they work great. That will be a good thing up in the mountains in the dark. This was the sun breaking through yesterday dawn:

That really stinks, azucena. I hope you and BT get a break in the next few days. I feel badly that she's suffering and that you're being tried this way.

I have a cold. Which shouldn’t surprise me with how much I’ve been traveling recently. But ugghhh it sucks. And while I don’t feel super terrible, I am losing my voice, which is just awesome. I’m so glad it’s Friday.

Cookies Galore - I just got the reminder this morning to cancel the free trial of MS365 and go to Best Buy for a cheaper price (it's $69.99 there rn) and I have a question - will I get a product key from BB? I haven't poked around the overall MS Office pages much yet to figure out my way around. TIA!

Good morning! TGIF! Here's to me being a good person and not having any negative interactions today. (I'm trying to stop dwelling on yesterday's negative interaction.)
For right this moment, I'm entering expenditures into YNAB. I've not prioritized that for two weeks!
Doing lots of self-reflection this morning.
Then, I need to switch into work-mode.

You may get further than just talking to the office administrators. Quoting myself because I just remembered this last night. I would also find your state's Medicaid ombudsman as well and explain the situation. They might be able to give you advice. They likely will not be able to fight directly on your/BT's behalf because you are not her legal guardian, but they know the system a lot better than us mere mortals do.

At one time I worked with a doctor from China who also used acupuncture. He said it’s effective but only for minor pain

According to Google, 42% of the US population is obese. I am not suggesting anesthesiologists should ever take risks, but I do find it curious that there are not procedures in place to mitigate the dangers of anesthetizing obese patients. Could you call back and say that you understand they were not prepared to deal with BT that day but could they put a plan in place knowing that she is high risk?

Cardinal Glennon doesn't have oral surgery. They suggested another large local hospital chain. They do have oral surgery but through a private practice and don't accept Medicaid. I cried on the phone to their intake person and begged for her to ask for an exception and/or cash payment. She's supposed to ask and get back to me. She also suggested 3 other places which I already called and was turned down.
I've added Medicaid ombudsman to the call list. Just too broken to make any more calls right now.
