Hair is trimmed and re highlighted, a mix of blonde and red this time. DS is caught up on history and science, after a scramble last night when I made the mistake of checking his science class website at 7 pm and noticed he had a major assignment due by midnight Ironically he’s staying on top of math and english ok…actually you know what, I just haven’t checked those. Don’t think I want to know. I hate their system so much, I keep getting emails that assignment X Y or Z was graded but it doesn’t tell me it was graded as “missing” I fixed the last few bits on my data upload thingy and can stop staring at spreadsheets for a bit. And no school tomorrow which means we all get to sleep in. Covid and flu shots scheduled for tonight.

I took a long weekend so I've been off for five days. I'm having trouble getting moving this morning. I was really busy the first four days, but yesterday I decided to be a slug and never got out of my pajamas.

Finnime-Thank you for the beautiful picture of the "Bright Sunshiny Day" to start our day! Nasty Woman and The Other me- Happy Birthday! Pink-I hope Newbie is OK. It sucks that your towels and glasses disappear too. My kids left me with extras so they have an excuse to buy new. I really have too many towels, but it feels environmentally irresponsible to just get rid of them so I am using them until they are in poor shape. When we remodel though I will purge and buy new. MPL - Hope Move in Weekend is Successful. Mitch, Good luck recovering from your Shots, DH got 3 a few weeks ago and he was miserable for a few days. He said his arm was very sore too. TMR-Sorry about the Middle of the night smoke alarm. I hope it is only a one time thing.
Have to get to work, I have a lot on my plate. Have a good day everyone!

I know chiver78 sometimes listens to 60's gold on Sirius/XM. Phlash Phelps just wished me a happy birthday and talked about it being my 55th high school reunion. He also gave directions to my small town because he drives all over the country. Told people to stop by if you are going to Field of Dreams and said he has been here. The man has been everywhere in this country.

bean29 we got new towels when we got married. I donated the old ones to the local animal shelter. I think they can always use towels. Breakfast is done, one of the dishwashers is running and I started a load of laundry. I need to finish my puzzle while I wait on it to warm up outside. Tide was apparently really high this morning so I had to go north to get out to get my coffee and a few things for breakfast. One of the potatoes also exploded in the oven when I flipped them. Hopefully that's the end of my challenges today.

o.m.g. Just put my picture in the dictionary beside the definition of crazy. Somehow, Mister and I ended up talking about him hitting my car. The point I was trying to make was that the cameras showed that he was more concerned about the Tahoe after he hit my car, and if it had been his car instead, he would’ve inspected it like he did the Tahoe. Plus, if it had been his car and me driving the Tahoe, I would’ve been “in trouble” regardless of whether of not his car was damaged. Which led to me talking about how it seems like my belongings don’t really matter, as far as being damaged or just disappearing. That led to him saying that the package on the table in the breakfast nook, contains glasses to replace the ones that are missing. We literally have only 3 or 4 glasses left, even though we had 2 full sets of “every day” glasses from each of our homes when we moved here, and I’ve already bought another set myself since we’ve moved here, after they first started disappearing. He also had a set of glasses that I don’t like and we don’t use, and are stored in another cabinet, separate from the “everyday” glasses, and some of them are missing now, too. Then he said he’d also bought some more towels. I asked what made him do that. He said because the towels in the linen closet in our bathroom were scarce. I hadn’t even brought that up. I like white towels, and I don’t like reusing towels. So at my other house, I had at least 14 face and bath towels, just for me, and at least a dozen more of each, for whoever else was at my house. When I helped him get settled into his place before we moved here, I bought dozens of towels for there too. When we moved here, I bought light and gray towels to match the color of our en suite bathroom, and put the millions of white towels from both of our previous homes, in the the linen closet in the hall bathroom that his daughters used. It was very clear by color, which towels belonged where. But the gray towels slowly disappeared anyway. I’ve never said anything about that, but he is clearly not as obtuse as he tries to pretend to be sometimes, because he obviously noticed it if he bought more towels. I can’t help but keep wondering if I’m a crazy person since everybody closest to me does so much crazy stuff, and I’m the common denominator, so I keep wondering if it’s just me that’s crazy and the problem. No, he is realizing he's in deep shit with you.

Two batteries on the security system need replaced. It's beeping every 10 minutes. The guy will be here in an hour or two.
I could really do without the beeping and hope he gets here sooner rather than later.
The beeping is driving me crazy. I've turned on my white noise machine and it is better, but it's still there. Cats are on high alert.
Paul McCartney, himself, also sent his birthday greetings by text from South America. No, I am not so foolish as to think he really sent it. I will pretend he sent it himself.

Kind of hanging out until my hair appointment this afternoon. My DIL had a mishap with a drawer and her pants this morning. Tore them pretty well. I delivered a fresh set of leggings to her. She and DS3 got a new puppy this past week. Puppy is staying in the office with her for a few days. So I got puppy kisses too. Win win for me. Pink Cashmere I sure hope Newbie is okay. She looks good from the photo you posted. Could Newbie be picking up on the tension in your home? Dogs are so sensitive, I wouldn't be surprised if she is trying to stay close to you to comfort you!

DH is feeling better. He has seen all his docs as follow-up from the partially collapsed lung. He has been given the "ok" to travel. So we will be going to Texas for Thanksgiving this year. And then our cruise in December. My DS2 will stay here and take care of the dog, the cat, and the house. I'm glad he doesn't mind doing it.

Happytaow Birthday to Nasty Wman. And Pink, hope Newbie is ok. Today was beautiful, the trees are orange, red, and yellow, just gorgeous. And I see she was declined a visit to an endocrinologist?? But could be because they are short staffed. She needs that for pre diabetes check, thyroid monitoring, and glucose monitoring. I've been worried about such as this happening even back home. I told hubs we may just need to see if she can pay for a supplement with this regular part D and she may be better off. And need to find out if we have to pay that $2800 deductible by March 2025. I'm trying to stay calm, but this is going to stress me at some point. It might be that WA is really, really tight on endocrinologists, and Sue Anne just needs someone to keep track. Her GP can do that. DH has a pit tumor, which has fouled up all his hormones. He’s being medically managed right now by an endocrinologist, and is taking 4 different meds to keep him balanced. His endocrinologist just went on ‘indefinite medical leave’ and the only other one in town is not accepting new patients (but she’ll approve his meds for awhile). I’m not sure what he’s going to do at this point, it only happened this past week. He may be joining me in Seattle with the rest of my specialists. Another friend is having the same issues, only she’s not having luck finding anyone in Seattle. BTW, the only plan WA has for a supplement plan (not advantage) for disabled is BCBS. It was roughly 3x what I’m paying for Medigap now that I’m 65. I think I was paying $365/mo. There are not a lot of options for gap plans for Medicare while disabled in WA. The paperwork for it was a pain in the ass to fill out.

I don't think anyone really sleeps through it. I think, they don't know where to go and what to do. I'm glad it's over with too. But I'm tired and sort of cranky, today.

The formerly new towels are showing wear, so bough5 more towels. I need to go through the stash and donate another bag of old towels. We have already restocked ou4 ‘dog towel’ stash.

Not feeling too bad today. Last night, I was having a hard time raising my right arm after getting shot up. My left arm got 2, I’d have thought that one should have been achy.

TheOtherMe Happy Birthday - Paul McCartney!!! How very very cool! His forum for fans started way back in 2002. So my information has been there since then. This is the first time I recall him sending text messages for my birthday. He does for holidays, but not birthdays. I have deleted my account as the forum as it is full of young kids and we don't speak the same language. So receiving a text from Paul was definitely cool. If only he had married me way back when!!! I wish my dad was here because he thought I went to too many concerts and he would say "What has Paul ever done for you?" Well, this dad and it was worth it. Ringo has done several very nice and personal things for me over the years and Paul didn't live up to Ringo in dad's eyes.

My security system is no longer beeping. Didn't take 5 minutes. Thankfully, they were doing an install at a location farther away from here.
Changed two batteries. They were new in April. Guy said it's might be the part as this is a part that is known to have battery issues. If it happens again, it will be recommended to change it out.
He also thinks if it was a bad bunch of batteries, more would have gone out.
