My dad always acknowledges my birthday but sometimes he's forgotten the date. I gave him shit for it pointing out he was there when I popped out! Karma sucks because he couldn't remember how old I was either so I said I'm one year younger than you've been married. He couldn't remember what anniversary it was either and my mom goes "Yes honey how long exactly have we been married? The panic that ensued. Especially as I bragged I knew and if he'd remembered what year I was born this wouldn't have happened. 😂 I know my children’s birth dates, but honestly, it has gotten to where I have to calculate the years to know exactly how old they are. DS’s birthday was recent, and I did remember the date and told him Happy Birthday, but even as I type this, I’d have to calculate the years to say exactly how old he is now. That is embarrassing to admit, and it makes me wonder WTF is wrong with my brain these days. Earlier today, idk what thought process led me to it, but I had to go from Mister’s birthdate and year to figure out his age. I know how old I am, and I know how old my Mom is, because the year she was born makes it easy for my brain to figure it out immediately. This whole idea of knowing the ages of the people I love, is kind of stressing me out, because who doesn’t know exactly how old their children are and their SO, without having to add shit up in their minds. I know how old my grandchildren are, without having to think about it. So I guess that’s good? I may be overthinking things like that because I worry about me having dementia at some point, because it is family history on my Mom’s side. I have to calculate my dad's age and sometimes Abby s age. DH is easy I just add 10. Gwen and my brother were born in 1990 and 2010 so it's real easy to remember their age. I was just giving my dad crap because he had teased me for accidently thinking my mom was about 4 years older than she was back on her birthday. Boy did that room get chilly five seconds after I opened my mouth. 🤣

Speaking of anniversaries it's become an annual competition between me and DH to see who remembers first and says "Happy anniversary".
The other person has to acknowledge that person is the better spouse.
I woke him up at 2am once. He deliberately stayed up till midnight this year so he could beat me.
Do you guys think hiring a band would be too much? We're going to be coming up on 20 years here soon I need to up the stakes.😂

My best friend of 54 yrs. passed away last night. She was 92 and lived a good life. I’m going to have a good cry and then kick back and remember all the good crazy times we had thru the years. I am so sorry.

I guess I was tired last night. I was watching Colorado's volleyball match on television. I fell asleep during the 4th set. That was before 10PM my time. That is ridiculous. So I didn't know who won.
Saw this morning that it went 5 sets and Colorado won. So it was archived on ESPN+ so I did get to watch it.
I have some must do's for today and then I can relax. At least tonight's match starts an hour earlier than last night's match.

That house is really very nice! Plus the barber’s chair? In the basement! I’m trying not to look at all the great choices you have for a good price and low taxes. I’ll tell my DGS and wife but don’t think they want to leave Manhattan for Kansas

I’ve become obsessed with jodhpurs. I had some when I was 5. Watching Hotel Potofino and woman had jodhpurs when she was riding. Then watched a documentary on archeology in Egypt. One Rcheologist had a sleek black 1920’s bob and jodhpurs. I want to get a pair but not the clown over exaggerated puffed sides I should ask DDIL cause she has horses and maybe jodhpurs are sold in horsey clothing websites. She has fantastically gorgeous boots!

the old barber's chair in the basement could be adapted for in-home torture chamber if anyone gets on your nerves

I have to calculate my age and DH's. And this year when we went to dinner for our anniversary, he proudly announced that it was our 50th anniversary. Nope, it was 51 years. I told the host it was TDL, too damn long.

After breakfast I ran a load of laundry and we went to the farmers market. I got some squash and lovely red potatoes, 1/2 dozen tamales, and a croissant to share for breakfast tomorrow.
He had lovely eggplant but I couldn't think of a recipe and those guys don't last. I'm going to search for a good recipe and go back next week for them.

Just got back from roaming around the English Market. OMG! The meats and seafoods available were incredible! Prices were high, a strip steak which would be about $7 was €9+. But you could get 15 chicken legs for €3. Roamed around th3 shopping district for awhile, then hit Marks and .spencer so TD could stock up on his almond biscuits. We bough5 out the stock, 4 rolls.
Then we found the Italian restaurant we tried to get reservations for this evening. Nothing available during dinner hours, so we had an early dinner at 4:30. They could seat us as long as we were gone by 6:30. We left a few minutes after 6. Soooo good, I’ve got a new idea for a pasta dish I’m going to poach from them with a base of leeks.

And convenient freeway access for easy drop offs. Andi says this next house will be her forever home and we should all have a side gig in retirement.

I just saw your post, NoNamePerson. I am SO sorry. I lost my oldest friend to the "big C" many years ago, someone I'd known since kindergarten. I know that kind of loss hurts.
