Good news, I rocked the preliminary meeting I led today. Bad news, I stressed way too much over it and I really need a nap now but need to put the hours in and get stuff done. I have no attention left for these tasks.

Had to call my credit union today. I received a text last night that I had 9 account statements available. I thought it was a mistake.
I go to the website and I have 9 statements avaiable. Somebody decided it's a good idea to give each of those sub savings accounts their own statement. I don't want or need individual statements. It used to be a 2 page statement and a page for the reconcilation which I do on a spreadsheet.
Now each of those statements is 2 pages with the reconciliation page.
They took down my name and member number. I may have to rethink having dedicated savings accounts for certain things. Some of those accounts do not have much money in them.
At least I don't get paper statements. She said they would each come in their own envelope.

I'm absolutely horrible with remembering birthdays. I need to make a point of putting them all in my Google calendar with reminders because eventually I will forget one of the kid's...I almost did this year when there was so much going on with the house around Carrot's. If they showed up for dh in any other way I really wouldn't be so judgmental. We're old enough that the day is a blip. But they expect a lot and give so little and it's something I can be mad about.

Group prayer for my son appreciated. He has an actual job interview today and another one either next week or the week after (can't remember exactly).
The prayer is because if he doesn't start working soon I'm going to kill him. Well I guess I should not laugh at the this.

This is a no. The bedrooms are too small. There was a pretty cool el camino in the garage though. I geeked a little about it.

I've started taking out stuff for our trip next month - yeah, I know. It's way too early but I am weird that way. Mostly getting stuff out that I won't need now, like heavy socks and long-sleeved shirts. Also making a list of what DH will need to be comfortable for the trip, and watching for BOGOs on these things as they go on sale.

Chimney Rock if you haven’t been! We are 2 hours from A’ville. I don’t remember if y’all do wine, but Stone Ashe Winery is excellent.

Pink - did you find out more about YD college enrollment? Fwiw, not ordering her dinner sounds like a healthy boundary. No, Mister doesn’t seem to want to talk about it, and I’m not going to bug him about it. He says he told her she has to get a job if she’s not in school, and as long as he means it, that’s really all I need to know about it. He must have said something to her about at least cleaning the kitchen, because she’s done that a few times this week. But because I usually try to keep the kitchen clean anyway, there’s not much to do unless somebody cooks, and nobody is cooking regularly. Last night, out of habit, before I went to bed I unloaded the dishwasher and put the dishes in the sink in it. It was only a few dishes, not enough to run the dishwasher. So today, all she had to do was put whatever dishes she and Mister used last night after I went to bed, and whatever she used today, in the dishwasher, and wipe the counters down (if she did wipe them down today). I’m not saying that it’s not helpful for her to clean the kitchen, it IS helpful. It is less work for me trying to keep the kitchen clean if someone else is helping to keep it clean, so that works for me. But that is only 10 or 15 minutes out of her day. Maybe I’m an asshole, but I need her to be productive more time than that. Idk what exactly I expect “productive” to look like until she finds a job, so don’t ask lol.

I feel downright surly and I still have to drive for two days, and then spend another week down there before I come back and feel like I have my house back.
DH commented that he feels like a guest in our own home.
I’ll just leave it there and try jamming my ugly feelings back down.

We are ensconced in a typical Cape motel in Dennisport for the weekend. Got to get up early to set up, so need to get some sleep. We did get to Marconi Beach in Wellfleet, which is a knockout beautiful beach.

I'm going to the in-law dinner tomorrow. At least as of right now I'm going to support dh. I could still change my mind. I'm still frustrated for a lot of reasons. It was dh's birthday yesterday and his parents didn't say anything to him about it. They did call and ask him to go to the vet with his mom today which he is. They're probably going to euthanize their dog so I get they may be emotional but if it wasn't that it would be something else. Why pour so much money and energy (he's worked 6 days in a row, well over 60 hours now when he can usually barely handle 4) into people who give you only scraps and will never be able to validate or care for you the way he so desperately needs and wants. Good Lord! Who doesn't at least acknowledge their own kid's birthday? The only excuse I'd give them is dementia. Some people just aren't worth the oxygen... My mom . She only acknowledges my birthday if i've done something to please her. She doesn't acknowledge that I am married. Remembering my anniversary lasted a year or two after I got married. I did forget to tell DS a happy birthday on his actual birthday when he turned 14. In my defense, we celebrated early. And I was reeling from finding out I was pregnant with the missy and Dh relapsed.

The ATT tech came about 5 and worked very hard to raise our service line, cutting his hand in the process. He also raised our neighbor's line and came inside to test our service quality. His name is Paul and he has an 8-year-old daughter and a 1-month-old son that he was delighted to show us photos of. Life has been challenging of late because his wife had a c-section and suffered briefly from post-partum depression. The baby was born a month early and spent 3 weeks in NICU, so he was working his shifts, going to the hospital, and parenting their daughter. Now it's tough to do the 2 am feeding and get up and go to work in our heat. He sees his daughter growing up so fast and worries greatly about his children's future, especially after the recent shooting. He spoke of trying to give his wife space and recognizing the challenges she faces.
We sent him off with 2 boxes of Girl Scout cookies our realtor had just dropped off.
A task I dreaded turned into a beautiful experience so I am grateful.

I'm not sure what free time you have this weekend, but try to fit in a trip to Truro Vineyards. it's right off rt 6. beautiful location, and they sell wine by the glass on the grounds. they have tastings, but I'm not sure on that schedule. it was like $20 to check out 10 different wines. but again, beautiful grounds to relax with some non-beachy scenery on the Cape 😁

I love the cab franc.

I just realized it is a 2h ep, and this tennis match is phenomenal. I can't figure out how to add the 20/20 ep to record after it started, so I'll dig around for it this weekend. that said, if you remember hearing about a news team being harassed outside the courthouse, that was this one. so that footage should be included. enjoy the game, and your research! I can't wait to see pics from your trip

The kids and I decided we're shirking all responsibilities and going to the zoo tomorrow. Hopefully Ex doesn't get too pissed at DS for not helping at his Grandpa's this weekend.

They bought my car, son waited too long.We had been asking him for months and he wasn't sure. The dealer said she will make sure their check clears before she gives them the title. I have worked with her before on a car for someone, she is about the most honest car dealer I ever met, they are rare.
I still need answers on apple care. I have not found out if it includes the supplement coverage, I can only assume so. And that is not good enough. We have A and B for DD with B premium being paid by the state. We now have D for DD coming out of her benefit, $65. Ok, my understanding is she needs to spend down $466 a month before bills are paid to a total of Approx $2800, Her income is reduced by the $65 so I need to report that, could make some change?? Seems to me we would be better off just paying the $255 or so for the supplement as it nets out to About $3000 It could be less mine is $234, hubs $255. But what is unanswered are 2 items. One does this keep her on a housing list or make her eligible for help later and does she have a supplement. I have a call into an agency that is supposed to have answers, they have not returned my call. I'm pretty sure that is what the deductible is for and then apple care picks up that 20% like a supplement, but I have nothing in writing yet stating such. And I assume nothing. Dealing with this stuff is a nightmare at least I don't have 2 to take care of now.
I hope son is able to pick all this nightmare up and be able to know what he is doing when the time comes. I'm hoping to handle it 10 more years, may be dreaming on that one, he will then be 65, there is no way his wife can. She will need help herself, I hope her BIL can, he too is a sharp cookie. Her issue is language.
Ok, moving auto pays to here, later all.
