I'm looking forward to going to work tomorrow. I do not know the last time that happened. It seems rude to post my happiness when others aren't. We have been cheering for you for a very long time, in your personal and work life, that ifeel like you SHOULD shout from the rooftops every good thing that happens for you! Maybe you can look at is how many of us have been praying, sending good vibes and good juju your way, and letting us know that all of the positive energy we’ve been sending you way maybe helped you get in a better position. The good things happening in your life, have nothing to do with what’s happening in someone else’s life. So do your thing and bask in your accomplishments.

Holy frigging moly I got an industrial ear piercing today and it HURTS.
I've been considering it for awhile but was waiting for my bonus.
That bitch sucked compared to my other ones.
Ibuprofen helps but they said this one takes awhile to heal. It's pretty red and probably will be for the next few days.
I'm pretty stoked about it though.

Made a quick veggie run at the small grocery, did a load of clothes, and I'm about 1/2 way through the brokerage statements. I fed my face with the sushi combo today so I have fish breath. I am so glad we're just a couple of miles from the Asian corridor because if I had to pick one cuisine to eat daily for the rest of my life, it would be Asian in all its varieties. I have tried to like sushi. I just don’t. Just like I have tried to like pears, and I just can’t. I like some sushi, but it is probably towards the bottom of my list depending on how you define Asian cuisine. For me that would include Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and Japanese in which I prefer tempura and other food over Sushi. Then there is also Indian food from the many different regions, Filipino and I am embarrassed to say I forgot Korean food in the first list. Kimchi is not really my thing, but I love Beef Bulgogi etc. Japan is also known for Kobe beef, tea, and their own unique takes on American food etc. I grew up with Benihana so I think of that before I think about Sushi. (Stays away from Soup's fish breath and wonders what her sushi of choice is)

DS visited today to pick up some packages that delivered here. He and DH spent a good day together working on his car. ❤️
My semi feral cat was not happy. She was jealous that momma was paying attention to someone else and let it be known. Funnily enough, DS used to be her favorite person. 🤣

Hey, I almost scored a free playpen today. UPS delivered it to the wrong house (mine), but I hollered at the driver "this isn't mine", and he walked back up & got it. It's a good thing I'm honest. The only reason I sprinted to the front door when I saw the truck is I actually am expecting a delivery, but it's not supposed to arrive until tomorrow.

We took our dog sitter to lunch today. Usually when we drop off or pick up Harriet, it’s a grab and run so we felt bad. She’s an older woman who is dog sitting for extra income. She spoils Harriet rotten, so know she’s well taken care of. Today, she had a gorgeous husky/pom mix she was sitting that was everyone’s bestest friend. I’d have dog napped him in a heartbeat. My mind is boggled. The size difference... Possibly a husky/chow mix?

So Smoke parades back in with the durn snake, I took the dust mop and pushed it out. Don't need his hunting achievements brought in for me to see. He catches, mice, and shrews, and snakes, don't want any of them in here, thanks.
Tigger is becoming my roamer, Smoke sticks close. I went out to get something out of the car and unbeknown to me Tig slipped out. I shook his treats and he came close but not in. So I shut the door, I'm not chasing him down, I said become a coyote meal if you want. I turn around and there he is. I don't think any of the doors latch in here so have to do the dead bolt locks. Hubs needs to adjust each one. He had pushed the door open and came in, he weighs 20 pounds so can push doors open. I will look while hubs is gone, it could be just the mechanisms need oiled. We had 2 windows we could not get closed, hubs did, just had to push hard, but we have one that won't for some reason. I think they had window AC's in 2 of them and messed up the windows, but they are closed now. I'm getting son to put a new light switch in the closet, its likely just old and needs replaced.
I can tell you how mechanical the guy here was, LOL! The disposal cord must have been hanging down and catching on stuff. He used one of the covid masks as a sling and tied the cord up with it, I mean I laughed at that one. Shows his level of expertise, apparently he took care of the lawn and flowers. I need to do that too. Hubs was going to cut out a semi dead bush, but he was pooped out after clearing the other stuff so I told him forget it. I will cut the branches and he can dig it out later.
I was so exhausted after cleaning the other place, I fell asleep for quite awhile. DD had hotdogs and I cooked hubs and I fried cabbage and kielbasa, it much of a dinner. But I made lemon squares for DD, been a long time and she loves them, I ate some too.
I remember telling all of you that I used Murphys oil soap on our hardwood in Indiana and how good it did. Well, not here, I have noticed the hardwood looks streaked. S what do you mop it with, I forgot. Our kitchen is hardwood, kind of unusual to me, so need to find a way to take care of it.
Ok, going to fix our weekly pills then go to bed. Later all.

My baby Smoke is all stretched out asleep on my lap. Unwriten law, don't wake sleeping kitties.
He is being clingy today, brought me a gift now snuggling, wonder what he has done wrong? Need to be in bed.

Good morning, erudite invisipeeps, evaluating methods of pet disposal and ways of growing wealth and making dinner. Welcome to Thursday. I hope today offers times of mirth and frolicking and is in the end highly satisfying. I hope your body cooperates with all it's tasked to do. I hope there is ice cream waiting for you. Today I need to add a purple streak to my hair in preparation for the weekend, which I hope is rewarding to artists such as me and my partner in crime, DH. The house looks like we're in the middle of a very large project, which we are. Poor Franklin the Dog is unsure what to do. Yesterday was supposed to be clear at the beach in the morning but it was hazy with what turned out to be smoke. It made a fliter for the sun:

Up eating breakfast. Today's main thrust is to reach out to the various PT organizations and find out how much my insurance covers and availability. Need to schedule appointments. I think I wrote it here but perhaps in YM Off-topic. The only in network choice is out of county and I do not know whether county transport will take me there or not.
And sometime in the afternoon I will plug in the heated rock I have that was to go in a bigger hospital tank for Crestie. Once it warms up I will put Crestie on it. If he does not move within a certain amount of time, it will confirm he is dead. I am not going to enjoy knowing he is gone, and I am all alone again at home.

I guess I have hit the point of too much travel this year. I'm starting to take food with me to the airport. I'd take maybe some M&Ms or pretzel thins before but nothing big. I'm stuck with airport food on the return trip but I can pack going out.
I've also had some longer flights at different times so I'm not trying to be hungry. And I'm usually okay with my food allergies but it's nice to just avoid all that.

I'm so glad and relieved to read about the results for your friend at work, Pink Cashmere. Your assistance made all the difference, even if it was pointing her in the right direction. I've been assaulted at work, grabbed and kissed when I did not want to be. I felt embarrassed rather than angry. I was much younger then and as they say, times were different. I am angry now at having gone through that on more than one occasion, too. Different men, different employers. I tried then to think of what I did that invited that treatment. Ugh. What I did report was the time a man that had just been put on the team I managed came into work on a Saturday afternoon knowing I'd be there and expecting rightfully no one else. He was awkward and creepy. We were both married. He told me he wanted to have an affair with me. I immediately left the office. On Monday I told my boss I wanted a separate office rather than a cubicle across from B, and I told him why. He told his boss the story. B ended up leaving maybe a month later. His wife called me soon after the incident and told me he didn't mean any harm, that a young girl he'd worked with in the past got frightened but it really was nothing. That makes me angry, too.

I'm very glad that I booked an appointment with the company that deals with my sprinkler system for a day that the pups are at daycare. these guys are all over the place and in the basement with the controller. LD would be losing his mind right now, and I've got some calls this morning. on tap today for these guys is to unearth the sprinkler heads that the landscapers just rolled the sod right over. the landscapers who have stopped answering my calls about the last few things on the punchlist - including the shower wall that they have supposedly built and just didn't come back to install. the good news is that these guys today are also fixing the sprinkler heads that aren't operating correctly AND reprogramming the controller, and showing me how to make changes myself.

Working on my new state fair food list. The nice thing about having gone so many times is I have a picture of the grounds in my head which makes locating the new vendors easier. Not sure we'll try them all but I like having them written down so I don't forget. Then our favorites of course. I pre purchased Gwen's bucket of cookies this year. I got dad one too they probably aren't going and he's watching the dogs it's the least I can do. Dad and I knew where every Wonder Bar stand on the fairgrounds was. We were there for the entire fair so lots of Wonder Bars were eaten. With all of the fried fair food now, are there still Wonder Bar stands?

There are at least two I know of off the top of my head. Still very popular. They had chocolate covered cotton candy cheesecake on a stick last year at tye Wonder Bar stand. Abby is hoping they have it again. It was quite good.

I'm another one who was kissed against my wishes by my boss at work when we were alone in a conference room with the doors closed. I told the union steward and she talked to his boss. He was not happy with me in the least.
Sadly they didn't move me away from him. I made him meet with me in his cubicle in an open concept office setting and he never tried anything again. He did tell me I misunderstood. No, I did not misunderstand.

Received my property tax bill yesterday for next year.
The Senior property tax discount has gone in to effect and my taxes are lower than last year's taxes.

Curious, what do you do with the brokerage statements? I manually post transactions into Quicken and reconcile my numbers to the statement. I know I could download the entries, but I prefer to see everything and look for trends. Plus, I can catch any mistakes like the one a couple of years ago when they took an RMD out twice . Besides, it helps me stay current with Quicken and their latest updates, and I'm not out roaming the streets

Waiting at the dentist for a tooth cleaning. The antibiotics I’ve taken on an empty stomach are not sitting well. The alternative is worse.
