I have exactly 0 work mojo left. That's ok. Just do what you feel like you have to do and if that is nothing so be it. What are they going to do? Fire you? Monday is your last day!

ok, I'm annoyed. the landscapers came today instead of tomorrow, due to expected rain (totally fine) with no advance warning (annoying) and I had to run around quickly to pick up poop - contractually obligated to clear the grass (totally reasonable). well, they were staring at me to come in with the mowers after doing the front yard, so I left the few piles on the walkway in favor of clearing the grass so they could mow. I looked out back at one point, the lead guy had stopped to take a pic of a poop pile on the walkway with his cell phone. what? go ahead and come at me, I'll argue the point with the office. I'm already not signing on with this company next year as the prices I'm being invoiced for are higher than I was originally quoted. and then there's a gas surcharge on top? your HQ might be 4mi away. so that means they charge *everyone* an additional surcharge for gas. pass, you work with gas-powered tools, that is your cost of doing business.

I'm fighting with a sales guy and am about to remind him that he's not stuck with me. That's the best part of what we do - we don't need permission to stop working together.
Dh and the kids are cutting their trip short and coming home today. I'm so bummed. I wanted the house to myself for another day.

Happy Birthday Fira and Steph
And happy anniversary 15th Catsareme
Hubs said he is changing plans, that's ok. He said we are painting DD's room and moving her furniture over there this weekend and we are moving in. He told me its going to take time for him to do the garage and he isn't going to be able to finish it before he has to go back for his checkup and things and we need to move in. I agree. We will just put a cheap area rug of some kind over the carpet I think. It's mainly old and we want to get the roof done and new heat pump in more than that. If worse comes to worse, he and I can do laminate. In fact I can if I get to having more energy. I have no problem with that. If he had been here for good that would work. But I'm spending my morning trying to keep this place ready to show and that has to stop. He is getting son to help and we are moving this weekend. That will take pressure off both of us, just going to take time to do what we need to do. I wish we could have had it ready but oh well. We have more to do there than we thought, always the case I guess unless its brand new.
I'm off.

Got my label to return the socks that don't work, so that's good. The Buster Brown's , the more dressy women's socks , so they go back. Contemplating making choc chip cookies with a discounted Streit's mix. Probably should take a small walk outside just to break things up. Sucks living alone with no verbal creature or male companionship.

Cleaning lady was here today. I canceled for next month bc I’m expecting to need to head out to support my mother and just don’t want to worry about de-organizing everything after her visit Is it really such a crime to leave my face wash on the counter next to the sink?

Does anyone have any experience with/opinions on Whirlpool Refrigerators? Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated!! The apt I lived in for 21+ years had a very basic Whirlpool refrigerator in it that worked very well and was still working when I moved out. Are you getting a new refrigerator?

countrygirl2 Your comment on the cost of carpeting made me curious so I looked up the bill for the one room we re-did in 2015 (everything else is hardwood). We paid $1800 for 228 sq ft installed with deluxe pad so I think, 9 years later and in a very HCOLA area, your $7500 is reasonable. I don't even want to think what it would cost to replace my hardwoods. I have them scheduled and pay an additional premium on my homeowners insurance for replacement cost. Apparently site-finished quarter-sawn oak is about the same price as gold bullion nowadays I've never had laminate but some of my friends said it was really durable and easily survived a household of kids and dogs. Good luck with your flooring journey!

For some reason I thought you were still working there on Monday. So, taking this information into account (with the exception of any true friends if you have them at work) any request for help should be met with "not now, it can wait until Monday"

Well, they found a body in one of our local parks this morning. Likely dumped as lots of gang presence in that area.

My morning started with a big mess. I left my Misto olive oil sprayer on the counter planning to refill it this morning. Got up to a huge pool of oil across the counter (assuming seal failed or something) which I had to clean up before making coffee. Had an oily hand when I tried to pick up the garlic keeper and now I have to get a new one of those, along with a new sprayer. Makes me said because the garlic keeper was custom made by a potter friend. Oh well, I'm off to Amazon for replacements.

I don't know how common it is around the country, but I have access to Consumer Reports through my library card. Log into my account, find the right page on the library website, and start doing research. Haven't needed to for years, but worth checking on to see if yours does too. Just gave TD the head's up about this. If he can do this, he can let his subscription lapse. I'd hate to know the number of pooled subscriptions there are between the 2 of us. We are careful not to duplicate though. If you like reading on a tablet or phone, look into readly.com. thousands of magazines for one price per month. I love it.

So I went to Amazon and put the oil sprayer and 2 garlic keepers in my cart. Then I went to Etsy and looked at garlic keepers and discovered there are copper and brass vintage garlic keepers. And I asked DH which garlic keeper he liked best. The one from Etsy will arrive sometime next week. Etsy is truly my kryptonite

Looking at airline tickets and don't like any of my choices. I walked away and took a shower and while in the shower came up with a couple of alternatives. One isn't as good as I'd like but it saves us a buttload of money. I need to go check out the other.

A garlic keeper is a lidded opaque container with vent holes because garlic should be stored in a dark airy container to prevent rot and sprouting. The one I broke was glazed ceramic with a wonderful top. This is my replacement www.etsy.com/listing/1745566195/copper-garlic-keeper-potpourri-holder
