That is why I cut a lot of people off, both men and women. The women disparaging other women is disgusting to me. And the men who refuse to acknowledge that they abused and took advantage of women in the same way is gross. Like you said, how would those men feel if the same was said about their daughter, sister, or mother?

he got a   for his shame on you comment from the wife of a couple that's annoyed me for some time now. but, since they are basically kissing the asses of the company that does the cruises, I haven't deleted them just to keep the peace. they will not be making the cut once I start cleaning house, either. 

Oh, I understand yours wasn't, but friends are easier to deal with.  You can unfollow them and keep them as friends but not have their posts show up in you feed (or just unfriend them altogether).  It's the non-friends and random pages filling up my feed that are driving me nuts. I have a hard time not engaging with them sometimes.

Furniture slides are your friend. They make them for hard floors and different ones for carpet. We have hard floors. We originally put them in place to extend the life of the new LVT floors. I can move every single piece of furniture in our house by myself including the Hoosier cabinet that weighs a "ton".

I recently removed a 'friend', who told me I couldn't put an unhappy emoji on his post, saying everyone should be contributing to Trump's fund. Nope. You don't get to threaten me and control what I do.

The bots posting memes on Facebook is getting ridiculously out of hand and the number of people that believe the crap they post is scary.  I really love FB for my private groups, but if they don't change the privacy settings so I can just see my groups and nothing else, I might have to bail on it for awhile too. 

If you use the app you can go to feeds and there's one that is just your groups.

Watching the stock market plummet and kicking myself for DCA, which I mostly finished a couple weeks ago.  Oh well, there are other positions to be sold and transferred to index funds.  And I moved a little more into VTI in my kid’s UTMA.

OB and my mother are rubbing each other the wrong way and both complaining to me about it.  This would be the brother I have actively avoided for decades, as well as the mother that consistently favored both brothers over me.  Pretty sure this is the twilight zone    I told him he should go ahead on his planned side trip so they can get a break from each other.  I’ll head over if necessary.

BND is looking pretty good now!  Up 3.7% in the last month and staying flat today...too bad I never pulled the trigger on that whole asset allocation thing.

If you decide to make a bid on it, I’d ask to get it inspected first.  It will just give you an idea what you are in for.  I’d also be on the lookout for asbestos in this age house.  Any renovation is going to require abatement, and that jacks up the price considerably.

I had no idea. It's still fairly up, though. We can't always have new highs all the time. 

I'm trying to get work done. I'll watch the olympics tonight.

I did see a news blurb that three women of color are on the podium. I have been so excited to see the diversity in women's gymnastics this year.

I moved a chunk over to BND from a less-favored bond fund, but not very much, maybe 16K.

I think I have about 20% total in bonds or stable value, mix of munis in taxable and bond funds in tax deferred.  Dad’s advisors really liked LBNYX and LLDYX-the expense ratios are horrible but the dividends have consistently outperformed BND, so I left the tax deferred holdings alone (although I sold the after-tax regular bond holdings immediately).

DH needs more of an investing plan.  Maybe I’ll bug him to buy some VOO now it’s on sale.

Did the feeder and bird bath thing and watered plants. Then I decided to cut up a huge cardboard box for the trash and was dripping sweat in under 10 minutes.  After a cool-down we went to Aldi.  I found some nice refrigerator storage containers, the kind that allow excess moisture to escape so I'll try them out on my berries this afternoon, and break down my ground beef for the freezer.  Got a lovely boneless leg of lamb which will be on the grill when our temps drop below upper 90's, maybe next month.

I may have to mute a "friend" on FB.  She's a very competent executive, incredibly supportive wife of a former police officer permanently paralyzed in a shooting, and skilled advocate for all disabled.  BUT she is not a meteorologist and is SCREAMING about the very long-range forecast of a possible Gulf storm 10-12 days out.  She is literally telling people to make evacuation plans now!

I just booked an appointment to renew my driver's license in person. I was surprised to get the notice, I thought I had longer. nope, it was issued in 2019 so it's due this year. stupid COVID. four years have both flown by and dragged out, all at the same time. I'm not looking forward to this one, since I will be forced to get a new picture. whatever. I don't use the thing for anything anyway, as it isn't a Real ID. I have two active current passports and a Global Entry ID. why would I bother with the Real ID?

DS does not donate blood, and our blood type is not rare but is complicated. 

Funnily enough he did text back that he was renewing his license. My license is for renewal next year, 10 years here, I'm an organ donor but do not recall them asking blood type.

I did, but the initial process was easier for the GE. at this point, I can renew online. it's $20/year, so I'll just stick with this one. 

ETA - I was also still travelling to Europe often enough at the time, that it made more sense. I don't remember NEXUS having any impact outside US/CA.

Well hubs didn't take a day off. He slept well last night and was up and running this morning.

He decided to go ahead and spackle and sand the garage interior and get it ready to paint.  I don't know if he will go ahead and paint it. He also decided he can build shelving all the way around for storage of things like Chirstmas decorations and seasonal items.  It is at least 12 foot tall so offers options, he is pretty happy about that.

We also made an appointment for the heat pump and the roofing, they do both. She said there are a lot of incentives by the government still and we can get a bundling price for doing both at once, so money off it. They did the work here and I was impressed with their professionalism and cleanliness, so hubs said get a bid for both.  We may just put a nice laminate in DD's room as she doesn't want carpet, I may get carpet in ours. We didn't want to do it all at once, but the flooring in those are so dirty hubs said we will see what it costs and just may do it, we really don't want to move in then have to do it then.

My son said on the windows, DIL had the same issue, he said she rewashed them he didn't know how many times before she could get them to stop streaking. It is clean air here so only thing I can figure is they haven't been cleaned in forever??

It is really cold this morning, like 60 out so I turned the furnace on for DD. Smoke was snuggled up beside me and I covered him up, he didn't get up till I did. 

Need to get busy and clean this one for the showing tomorrow, have to go get my vacuum, left it at the new house.
