I've had it at least twice with symptoms. I was asymptomatic besides my lymph nodes swelling like balloons when DH had delta. Quite possibly a fourth time when my coworker announced while freaking standing next me that he had a 104 fever. Gwen wanted to know who D was and why I was planning on murdering him. I stayed away from FIL and was too sick to go anywhere but it was too late at work. He got at least three other people sick too. DH got it but the girls didn't.

I'm sure I just jinxed myself, but I've never had it either. My oldest brought it home from the cruise last year but that's the extent of any of the three of us ever testing positive.

I lived in the house when both TD and DS had covid and didn’t get it myself. When I had covid, TD and I were in 300 sq ft and he never got it. This is a strange virus. Carrot camped with two kids with covid all last week, one tented with him in a two man tent for 5 of the nights while actively sick. Carrot is fine. This makes me feel better. The area of our house that we are using is a little more than 300 sq. ft.

this is my 2nd (confirmed) time. 2 years ago we went to a giant arcade-type place for Mother's Day, and both DH and DS wound up getting sick. Not sure how, but I didn't get it (although DH and I weren't married or living together at the time).
Then we both got it sometime at the tail end of our vacation to OR/CA last July. And then this July he brought it back as a souvenir from a concert he attended with a friend. Good times.

I've tried to be very careful. Ever since I discussed this with PMD I try to keep moving and not go to places that I might catch it. I do have surgical masks still I can use if I am worried. Probably time to see what stats are in NJ.

I am a remote employee and while DH is a manager, all of his team are also remote employees. We do not have family here, nor are we social. We have managed not to catch it.

I knew people with seats all over the venue, and only.those of us on the same side of the center aisle as I was ended up getting it 🙄 I've had a bunch of close exposures previously and hadn't come up positive. like, 5h in a car with someone who tested positive the next day. go figure. as was already said here - this virus is weird. I usually catch anything and everything in the wind. 🤷♀️

Women's gymnastics was definitely worth watching. Amazing what they can do and Biles is incredible.

The area of our house that we are using is a little more than 300 sq. ft. Not a lot of room in a ship’s cabin. I was stuck in it all day, TD got to go and do, but he slept in the same bed. As long as he tested negative while I was quarantined, he could go and do. He never tested positive.

Right after our cruise last year I came down with Covid, which DH also never got. I lost my sense of taste completely for almost a month.

I don't know why it was so hard to undo the change United made to my January flight from Munich to SF but I finally succeeded. I will have to stay a day longer but I am back on a non-stop flight. No more Chicago in winter, no layover, and no more downgrade. I had booked originally a economy plus ticket (business class will have to wait until my bones tell me it is time) and in addition to the layover in CHI, which was shorter than needed to get through cutoms/passport control/check-in, they had magnanimously decided that regular economy would be just fine. Never mind that I paid for premium Anyway, until their next change, I am fine I think/hope. Now to change my travel health insurance to add the additional day to my coverage

I would hate that but it's better than breathing difficulties to me. Shortness of Breath is not something I want to experience. I'm glad your sense of taste came back. Was it a gradual thing or no?

I've spent the past 2-1/2 hours basically laughing my rear off because sometimes that's all you can do. I won't go into a very long story, but it involves my community association and a discovery I made this afternoon. Truly, sometimes the best laid plans of men and mice don't mean squat. For those of you using Microsoft Word, here's a wisdom nugget. If you want to redact a portion of a document, don't highlight the text and select black as the highlight color. If the document is then scanned and posted to a website, you will only see the black lines, not the underlying text, on your screen. BUT, if you select, copy and paste the highlighted portion, the full underlying text will be seen. It's only been that way for 3 years

health insurance question, halp? I received a pair of bills today, for the orthopedic Dr visit and the CT scan at the hospital a couple days later. the CT scan bill is for $96, after insurance coverage was applied. I'm good with that. my question is the orthopedic Dr visit. that one calls out a CT scan for $968, with an insurance coverage line of $763, and my Amount Due is $204.99. make this make sense? I don't wanna pay the hospital one until I know what's the deal with the orthopedic as well.

Chiver, what are you questioning? Why the doc bill is higher than the hospital bill?

You know for as much as I like Harry Potter there comes a time when it dawns on you an awful lot of events through the entire series could have been prevented if Harry had stopped for five minutes and asked himself "What if Hermione was right?"

Chive r did you have 2 cts? nope, just the one at the hospital. I had xrays at Urgent Care, but that's all completely separate from these two bills.

I wonder if the orthopod bill includes the radiologist reading the CT and the hospital bill is only the CT itself.

Mich may be on to something. I know with my insurance, I pay 10% of radiology approved amounts and 50% of physician amounts. Physician charges don't even apply toward my deductible. Some plans just have different coverages, so you have to get familiar with your plan.

oh, I'm definitely making calls. I just wasn't sure what to ask. I posed the same question on FB and chatted at length with someone via PM. I sent her pics of the actual bills.
in the grand scheme of things, the pair of bills is ~$300. it's more me questioning why and how things are billed, so I learn from it. I'm a pretty healthy individual that relies on urgent care for her klutzy moments. I don't have a whole lot of practice with interpreting EOB letters and bills.

Blackstone must have discontinued the non-stick stuff because everything on their website is cast iron. I don't think non-stick would hold up well at all under heavy use with metal utensils and high heat. If we get this, I'm making DH do all the work of seasoning it repeatedly before first use as they recommend. Sorry you had to take a big loss on yours. I'm going to look around at other brands before we buy anything because the Blackstone reviews online are terrible, everyone talking about damaged and missing parts, big cost to return, and a 10% restocking fee. At $1600, I'm not going to play games like that. My neighbors give them away for free. Traegers for free, too. Feel free to send me one. I'll pay for shipping.

I still don't really leave the house other than the gym. The first time I decided to go out with friends I ended up with the rona. I was pissed because I did everything I was supposed to. I know that doesn't guarantee anything, but plenty of other people were living their best life while I was locked in the house and nothing happened to them.

When I went to sign the admission agreement for Assisted Living they increased the price $1500/month. They also changed the room. Not happy, but will see if we can change later.
Gotta pull together the furniture/TV/label clothing etc.

Checking in. Leaving for Michigan today. Staying two nights in hotel rooms and then staying with another friend in Grand Rapids that offered. Lucky me!! My one girlfriend offered but she doesn’t have ac and I stayed in her house one night years ago and almost died from the heat. I don’t know how she does it. I used the excuse of that I needed to meet people early the next day so wanted to get closer to them. I’m not doing Frankenmuth after all. Staying in GR until Wednesday and then heading to N Carolina. I totally get it. DH has family in Iowa who don't "need" air conditioning. The heck you don't! We stayed with one family member many years ago on a hot Summer night, and the house was so hot that I couldn't sleep. Safe travels! I grew up without air conditioning. I did have a fan in my room. My parents' home still doesn't have anything beyond a portable air conditioner. It's not used all the time, either. They have boiler heat, which makes whole-house air conditioning tricky. My parents also kept the house to 55 at night in the winter. It's just what you did to keep expenses low.

Oh crud! DH has been exposed to COVID at work. Hopefully, he stays healthy and doesn’t bring it home. I’m taking AIRBORNE and immune support. I lived in the house when both TD and DS had covid and didn’t get it myself. When I had covid, TD and I were in 300 sq ft and he never got it. This is a strange virus. I never got covid from DH, despite sharing a bed with him overnight. Which, astounds me because I'm the one that was in worse shape. The kids gave him covid in a matter of minutes. He drove DS to get tested. They were literally in the car for 15 minutes together, and that was enough for DH to get covid.

I'm feeling better. I was going to go to the house and work this morning. But I procrastinated and then got sleepy so lay down about 1 and slept till 3. DD and I went over about 3ish and I worked for about 21/2 hours. I unloaded at least 12 boxes. I hung up clothes on the racks in the hobby room, put away some more kitchen items, and found some shoes. I need to find the boxes with more hangers in them so had to fold some clothes.
I also put what cardboard I could in the 2 trash cans. I have lots of boxes I can give to someone moving. Opened the doors and turned on the fans, it was about 84 in there. I hope hubs gets AC in there, that is miserable trying to work. I saw when we got home it was 94 out.
I need to be able to separate what goes where and that will help. Quite a few of the boxes didn't have a lot in them. Like my grain mill and some plastic containers was all that was in one, so progress went fast. I have 2 more cabinets to clean. I don't want to put all this in the bedrooms as they need painted.
Need to get a sprinkler for the lawn, it is looking rough. Hoping its not so hot tomorrow.
I sure like the taste of the city water there. it's good. Time for bed, night all.
