Oh dear! That’s not a question that even entered my mind with the posts. And I would be offended if that was what somebody got out of my posts here and asked me, when there is no reason to believe my SO is on drugs or doing anything to get high. Is that just a way of asking if he is “crazy” or something? Idk. But I’m not even azucena and that question would bother me. Pink, with this specific poster, based on her posts over time, it is more a matter of her life experiences and not meant to insult IMO. You are right. I would delete it if it wasn’t quoted already. My apologies drama!

Oh dear! Anytime people aren't acting "normal", (whatever that is nowadays), I just assume they're on something. But then, I was raised in a big city, and seeing someone high or passed out isn't anything I'm a stranger to. Having a few alcoholics in the family makes me pretty good at picking out drunks too.

I didn't realize it really was mortification week over at askamanager.org. Actual lol'ing and tears are happening here today. I never looked at that before but some of them are hysterical! The crocheted "object" in the Zoom background

WFH this week since DH went back to work yesterday and Kiddo doesn't start school until next week. Started early so I could take a long lunch. We had to run to Aldi. Got everything put away and have to work on prepping produce later. In the meantime, I need to have a chat with DH. I realize with Kiddo being 8 that sometimes it is very much easier for us as adults to just do a task and be done with it. The problem is, Kiddo can't learn anything that way. We have to pick and choose times where it makes sense to go slower so we can teach her and she can learn. Apparently DH has just been doing stuff instead of helping her learn all summer. I figured that out at the grocery store today. I always make her help with the list, pick out her own bananas and strawberries, help bag the items, etc. But today, Kiddo just couldn't get with the program. Which is when she told me DH tells her he doesn't need any help and can do it himself and she just usually follows him around the store . Poor dude missed the entire point of this thing. To be fair, they did have a great time together all summer. He just slipped a little bit in the teaching responsibility/life tasks department.

We are up, clean, teeth brushed and ready. I had some issues with the sweats last night but not like the night before. But I'm weak. Just washed and dried Dd's hair and I'm pretty much done. Even getting the top off a bottle of anything is almost impossible I'm so weak. I have to use the grippers for hard to open bottles. This is not me at all.
I just read getting rain here on yesterday's date is practically unheard of, but it was nice, they needed it. Apparently we are in a drought here.
I read at the same time that August the 1st and 2nd its going to be very hot here, so I will stay in the house with the AC. Hubs said soon as we get the roof done we will look at getting a heat pump put in the newer house.
Told DD if she wanted to eat we would stop at McD's on the way, we both have masks. I have a pick up order from Walmart, then our appointments at 12, so our day is likely shot. Tomorrow I'm to get trash cans at the new house. I hope to be able to sit and pack all the tape in trash bags and cut cardboard to fit in that dumpster to go. Maybe I can at least do that. Hubs is like why aren't you doing this and that, I told him because I'm so sick I can hardly do anything is why. I have dropped to near 145, 147 with clothes on, so I'm sure its at least 145. And a couple weeks ago I was holding at 152, But that's ok.
I just hope this doesn't last too long. Yep and any new shots coming out I will get.
Would love to take a nap.

I found out our new street name and park are Indian names. Klahowya means welcome and Illahee means land, ground, tree, or similar. We are having a time pronouncing these and so are other people.
You know I'm sick, I haven't put makeup on now for over a week and didn't today. That's about as low as I can get.
Off to do pickup and the minor clinic.

What do you like to do? Figure that out and do it. If it's bike riding, take a spin class. Like to dance? Find a dance class. Whatever you would like to spend time doing, find a way to exercise doing it. Look at your diet and see what can be cut out or substituted for something healthier. We can always help with substitutions too if needed. Well, I used to bike and hike a lot, but it's been quite a few years. Except for yard work and taking care of the animals, I've been a slug for quite a while.
I got all the info from work on discounts for the Y membership, but I'm not sure I should jump in and do that as it's still almost $600/year for a family membership and I don't know if I'd ever actually use it. They have personal trainers and the difference in cost between the member rate and non-member is practically nothing. Like $15 difference for 20 sessions.
I started fasting again. I did it for awhile but was sloppy about it. I just was talking to a woman that lost 176 pounds in one year doing that and she's convincing me to give it another shot.
I got a decent spin bike for about $300 and there are loads of YouTube videos of spin classes. I think the peloton app is something like $15/month with a free 30 day trail last time I checked. It had spin classes on it. Dietary changes will help too. Start out slow and work your way up. You can only do what you can do.

The interview went well. I seemed to give all the right answers.
I forget with all the crap thrown at me at my current job that I am actually an extremely competent and experienced professional.
They have two internal candidates and a couple more external but I'll know something probably in a couple weeks.
I think this job would be a really good fit. It would be a learning curve but one of my questions was about on-boarding and it sounded like they have a good system.
Hierarchy wise in their company I'd be higher than I've ever been elsewhere so it sounds like I'd finally get my 18 years in the workplace recognized instead of reinventing the wheel over and over.
Fingers crossed.

Woke up to a sick kitty this morning. The vet's office had a cancellation, so we were able to get her in. She was vomiting, hiding, had a fever. Her blood work is normal, but they are keeping her overnight to monitor her. The house seems really quiet without her. I hope that whatever is going on with your kitty, isn’t serious. Newbie is mostly something like a ghost in our house, we can go hours without seeing her unless we just happen to be in whatever room she is napping in. She’s weird and mostly only comes to life when it is time for her to eat (I swear it seems like she can tell time lol), or when she’s outside. Boy, OTOH, is a very lovable pest. You can’t go hours without knowing he is in the house. But the house would feel weird if either one of them wasn’t at home. Whatever is going on with your kitty is not serious and even if it needs treatment, she will be okay. That is what I am claiming to be true! Thank you Pink! I have the kitty home now. She ate her morning food. She's asleep in her fav chair at the moment. She is quieter than normal though. She is a mouthy cat for sure! Vet said she doesn't have anything serious and is calling this a "fever of unknown origin". Well okay but I would still like to know what it was. My DS2, who lives with us, started feeling ill yesterday. Turns out he has covid. Just has me wondering.

Pink, with this specific poster, based on her posts over time, it is more a matter of her life experiences and not meant to insult IMO. You are right. I would delete it if it wasn’t quoted already. My apologies drama! And now in your own defense. I doubt that apologies are necessary. You are not known to post just to put someone down. I your posts!

Congratulations! That took a lot of work, patience and persistence. It must be so rewarding to be able to fill in all these little missing pieces and tell the story of your family. It truly was. I have found the wedding announcements for both sets of grandparents previously. Those are cool to read. No response from sister. I am going to send it to my cousin who is also in to genealogy. Last evening I was transcribing a Civil War pension file. The handwriting is so difficult to read. This soldier left two young children who received guardian pensions, which I had never heard of. Both parents were deceased and the one who served in the Civil War had suffered injuries that left him unable to do much in the way of work. I am sorry to have to remind you that your sister unfortunately doesn’t share many of your interests and is unlikely to share your excitement about this discovery either. It was very nice of you to share it with her and I do hope she appreciates it but I wouldn’t hold my breath there. I am glad you have a cousin that would be thrilled to hear about it. I also think it’s amazing the amount of information that is under our fingertips at this time and age, it’s such a treat to be able to find all the little pieces and put them together. What a legacy for your extended family to enjoy the fruits of your labor of love.

I like it. In Kansas, do they have to disclose if an inspection showed something previously because there was a recent offer that fell through. Could be over finances but if it was over something being wrong with the house I would want to know. I love the big front porch.

Yes, if you ever figure out how to keep kids in a bubble wrap, please, let me know! They go through so many experiences that I would love to spare them from, but then I also think, what next. Even if I could keep them protected until they’re 30, at some point they’ll need to come out and face the world and they won’t be prepared. So, we just do the best we can to prepare them and guide them now. I just wish I could take away some of the largest hurts, that’s all.

What a legacy for your extended family to enjoy the fruits of your labor of love. I have a cousin 1 x removed who is interested in my research when I can no longer do it. It's hard to do when you are working. Both he and his partner are interested in genealogy. My cousin has done some legwork for me in the part of the state where he lives. He found an old family cemetery with about 10 graves in it. It looks nothing like it did when I was last there. Sadly no one on my dad's side has expressed any interest in what I am doing. This Civil War file is quite interesting. I had very little information on this man but now I have his wives, children, dates of birth and death. Names of his sisters and brothers. All because he got a civil war pension. I offered DN3 the porch swing that my grandfather made and he is very interested in it. I told him the only condition is that is that he doesn't want any more, he needs to see if a family member would want it. That was the condition put on it when it was given to me and that is fair. We would like to keep it in the family as long as possible.

I like it. Two things though: - it may not be a "forever" home with the master suite upstairs so definitely not easily accesible when you are older - I really don't know much about the weather in your neck of the woods but could the fact that the garage is not attached be a problem in winter time?

what's the odd exterior door with a deadbolt in the kitchen? is that an actual exit? I'm having a hard time picturing the layout in my head. and, that room with the teeny window on the 2nd floor is SMALL. I notice the listing doesn't include the dimensions for just that room.....why is that? is the whole 2nd floor intended to be the bedroom and that tiny room is a walk-in closet or something? it just seems odd to me, is al.

Not sure about non mammal pets. Might want to call around and speak to vets who may have treated pets for Covid. Plenty of fluids works in many cases if whatever it is isn't vet level serious.

I think its intentionally a small house from the small house movement, but I could be horribly wrong. I don't like it for me, not Andi, because it only has a one car garage and its not even clear what size car might fit in it. Like other listings, the back side of the house gives you an idea of past expansions IMO.

I did OK. No panic attacks. I was over driving pretty quick though. I'm glad I carpooled. And I need to get out driving more.

I didn't go through the exterior pics earlier, I stopped at the tiny room upstairs. that yard is huge and nicely fenced in already as long as the twins won't jump a low one.

With any luck DD15 will be a licensed driver tomorrow so I completely share this sentiment! Good luck! DH took the day off to take her for the test...tonight he's looking at me clueless asking if I made an appt. Um no, appts book months out and open on some random system at the crack of dawn or full moon or something so they are going to have to wait in line starting at 530 to get a time slot assigned when they open at 7. Why am I the only one who can look things up and/or follow along with the local parent fb groups?! I really want to go live by myself for a week. I'm in desperate need of a full reset.
