The Air Tag thing yesterday was really weird. Especially after I Googled like Mich suggested and learned more about them and how they work. We could most definitely hear a faint sound when we used that on my IPad. I Googled to see what it sounded like, and that was the sound we were hearing. And it wasn’t just me that heard it, Mister did too, after he drove his car away and came back. The first time I heard it was while he was gone to try to see if it was on his car, so that seems like it meant it was here at the house somewhere. It seems like if it was on Mister’s car, he would’ve gotten the alert on his IPhone, instead of me getting it on my IPad. I still dont know what to think about it. So it’s not in the car. Have you looked in his daughter’s room?

Have you looked in his daughter’s room? No, we couldn’t hear it anywhere inside the house. Only in a certain small area in the driveway next to the garage door. All of the red lines showing where it had been detected, were on the side of the house and in the back yard. My Ipd said it was first detected at 1pm yesterday. The cameras didn’t pick up anyone on our property around that time, and none of our vehicles came home around that time. I can’t make any of it make sense, so I’m trying to not worry about it. I guess we’ll see if we get an alert again this evening.

Pink, what kind of Mustang did he get? Regular or Mach-E ... I missed this yesterday. He got a Mustang GT. I assume the Mach-E is an electric vehicle? His is powered by gasoline, and it drinks it like water. Yes the Mach-E is electric. I love the beauty of the classic Mustang not sure I like how they drive if they are still rear axle balanced. Something like this?

Idk what you mean by rear axle balanced. I’ve only driven it once, for just a few minutes after we got home with it. It seemed like it’s fun to drive, especially since it’s a stick. I didn’t really play with it though, I was just pleased that I could still drive a stick. We were on some back roads in the country, so I didn’t even drive it fast lol. He keeps wanting me to drive it again and play with it, and I will one day. I just don’t like driving other people’s cars, not even his. As long as he is happy with it and enjoys driving it, that’s good enough for me. But I’ll take him for a ride in it one day soon, since he wants me to.

One of the worst times of my life was driving one of his car's back from a doctor's visit when they ended up rushing him to the hospital. It was a leased Cadillac and I was terrified. I might have driven his Mini Cooper once for about a block, and I did have to park in VW Bug in the garage once. I just don't want the responsibility especially for leased vehicles where even a scratch costs $$$$$ when the lease ends.

I'm watching high school softball state tournaments this evening and tomorrow evening. The end of the sports year for high school kids in Iowa.

I'm seriously drooling over Mister's new Mustang! My first car was a '68 Mustang. It was so fun to drive that I had it forever or at least until degenerative disc disease made it painful to drive and I had to upgrade to a grown up car. I still miss that car!

Just got ridiculous kicks when my idiot neighbor got a new A/C unit. The funny part was the water line had to be moved/rerouted, so they had to send people out to dig up his yard. Not sure why the line had to be moved, other than possibly he put the unit in a different location on his property. He's a dirtbag anyway - his property is a mess (well, at least when they dug up the yard, they got ride of some of his weeds!) and it's his own fault - he planted all these high-maintenance trees and then he's too cheap to hire people to care for them, and he won't do it. The wifey is too pretty to do yard work. I like to annoy him by going out and maintaining my yard. This from a guy who spend almost $100K on a tricked-out travel van and three electric bikes.
Speaking of yardwork, I've been experimenting with some new hydration drink powders. Found some winners in the bunch, and some surprising losers, like Pedialyte (it was awful).

Well great. I had a covid exposure at work. I was only near the person for maybe five minutes yesterday, so fingers crossed. She woke up sick today with no symptoms yesterday.

DH was bored yesterday and went to the KIA dealership. He has the new car itch, but hasn't seen anything he wants, so he's sort of a shopping surrogate for me as I HATE car shopping, especially when I can't justify getting the Land Rover I really want. The dealer had a Sportage with AWD and a bigger engine which meets my desire for something that sits higher than my stupid Subaru Impreza, also has AWD, and actually moves when I step on the gas. I'll probably look at it next month. The local auto shop is very interested in buying my car which is super low mileage and very well maintained.

We got in early this morning. Had to get up at 3AM and then the plane was an hour late. We slept off and on all the way out, but those seats are miserable even though we upgrade. So my back was killing me. I went to look at the house now with stuff gone you can see it. I think it has just been surface cleaned. Probably swifters and such.
DD's room is awful, it needs painted, I knew both bedrooms needed flooring but our room is horrible. I think someone had some kind of issue with either spilling or other issues. It doesn't smell but its ruined.
They have hurried to leave, they even left some cooking utensils I'm going to have to get rid of. I like the cabinets, lots of pull out drawers, plenty of cabinets and room to put my things, even another in the laundry room, that will likely be my pantry. There is another cabinet over the washer for laundry products. It looks to me like the appliances are pretty new and haven't been used much, they seem nice. But the lady has tried to clean the outside of the cabinets, I had the same problem with a couple of mine. The cleaners take off a lot of the finish and these need help, hubs said we can refinish them. But I'm thinking a good cleaning and some stain with top coat might do it. Have to check and see.
I went into the hobby room, or she called it her studio. Very dirty.I washed the walls high as I can reach, I told hubs I think they are 12 foot tall, 10 for sure. I will take a dust mop to do the upper part and dust it, we can get by without painting it for awhile. I scrubbed the concrete floor on my hands and knees. I think I used 7 buckets of water with Fabuloso, even the doors were dirty. Likely I could do it again and get more off, but its ok for now. We have a lot to put in that room and its now clean. Then I mopped the kitchen and laundry room will need to paint the baseboards. That was another bucket of very dirty water.
I vacced the whole house. Looks like to me all the plumbing fixtures are new. Our bathroom has been tiled, has a whirlpool tub, sounds like with heater. It also has a new vanity. The other one is nice too with new fixtures and all tiled.
Tomorrow I want to clean out all the cabinets and mop the living room/dining and hallway. If I have time and enough energy, clean the bathrooms and start on cleaning windows. Then, I should be ready for furniture Saturday. None of the ceilings need repainted at least. Neither does the living room. It's going to be a lovely home when we get done. I talked with a neighbor that was working on his lawn, I told him that wasn't happening for a bit. There are weeds popping up all over. A pretty good sized garden snake slithered by. Smoke will have him dead.
I found out we have box 2, so those folks were the 2nd ones to buy into that development. It was stuffed with mail. I need to get their address and mail to them.
I am so tired that I may fall asleep. I got my bath at 4ish. Son had been to the grocery so he came by, so we saw him again. He was able to work from home again today. My back and everything hurts. I always leave our houses squeaky clean and buy ones that aren't , sigh. I guess people don't clean like I do, Oh well.

I'll probably look at it next month. The local auto shop is very interested in buying my car which is super low mileage and very well maintained. So you want a high hip height vehicle instead the Impreza. Can you financially swing a lease on a Land Rover and then plan to it after the three years or whatever term they are selling now? But I probably should ask what kind of justify are you talking about. I can't afford a new Land Rover justify? Or I shouldn't get a Land Rover even used because I should drive my cars into the ground justify or something else? FWIW, I never got to drive a Land Rover, I went with one of those free test drive post cards once to a dealer, and the salesman just wanted to check the box so I would get a free GC or an entry in some sweepstakes. He was right in that I was less serious about the vehicle than others I had test driven back then, but he was wrong in turning me away too. How would I know what was exceptional about a Land Rover if I never sat in one and experienced it myself? (Over two decades ago and I bet he would not have done that if had been male instead of the obvious female I am.)

Need to do my bath. I can see part of a Crestie, but since he is not moving I am not sure what to think. Its late and I have cleanup with HR to do on paperwork. The FMLA stuff cannot be filled out really because the specialist hasn't been seen. I think the law needs to be changed somewhat. Fifteen days is too quick during summer season when there is no coverage at work and very little coverage at health conglomerates etc. because see its summer and people take summer vacations. I booked the earliest appointment I could. It did get pushed a couple days forward but I doubt those couple of days would have gotten me the specialist appointment today at the latest. Maybe, but highly unlikely. Have to find out if I am supposed to get an x-ray b4 the appointment of my knee or not. so much medical stuff I need a second job or a promotion (finally) to pay for. Oh and of course because its this July, 2024 July , turns out something happening with my legacy phone co. pension. I might be warned they are cutting me a check soon or I have to do something to wait to claim at 65, IDK. Tmobile bought or acquired someone that is now Tmobile flex, so I've paid $5 extra the past two months instead of reducing that bill with Mint or something. And I should see if I can talk my rent down even $3/mo. for that charge we have to pay to pay our rent. I think there is no way for us to just pay rent without incurring extra fees for paying it electronically, the $50 check processing fee if we insist on paying by check, etc. So I figure my rent is at least $3/mo. higher than it should be. Not sure if they will do something as I already started the new lease agreement this month, because yes July, more prices increases than ever before in one month. Oh yay.

Maybe you shouldn't clean your houses to squeaky clean either, just good enough. You are older and do you really want your back and everything else to hurt more than it needs to? I hope the garden snake is not poisonous. Someday Smoke might pick on the wrong snake and end up with a very bad injury even if he "wins". I wish you could clean my place for me, but I have so much filing and organizing to do. Maybe I will make some progress while on short term disability. I can hope. I do not like being home by myself too long as its easy for me to get into bad habits if I am alone in my house with at best nonverbal animals to care for. Still miss Moon Shadow even if I am reading about small rabbits now. www.hepper.com/small-rabbit-breeds/www.hepper.com/mini-rex-rabbit/

Bought it before I got my license, and actually took my driver's test in it. 1970 Chevelle SS 396. Almost exactly like this one: Yeah, I think my examiner was thrilled to see me show up!

Going through some mandatory online training right now. It's on "workplace violence." I'm a full-time remote worker. Same. I find the mandatory training videos sort of irrelevant and a waste of time. I also get super annoyed by the mass corporate emails that have absolutely zero to do with me. Too bad we aren't allowed to mark them as spam.

Good morning, ardent muscle car aficionados and real estate mogul invisipeeps, readying for a weekend in July. Welcome to Friday, on which I slept unaccountably late. I did awaken at 1:00 then fell asleep again. My father bought when he was 40 a '67 Mustang ragtop that he loved until it was a shell of itself, rear window duct taped and floor boards rotted out in the back so you could get a glimpse of the road passing under your feet as you sat in the rear seat. He saw only the engine. He kept that going for many years after only paint held the chassis together. Happy man. Even when the car became decrepit, he drove it to the hospital of which he was the administrator. Drove my mother nuts. He didn't build the garage for another ten years after the Mustang had ended its days. I miss my father. Yesterday was a deeply foggy morning, the proverbial pea soup. I saw a tiny dinosaur, a Great Blue Heron, flying off:

I saw a tiny dinosaur, a Great Blue Heron, flying off: Hugs for your father. I miss mine too. I wish I had not had to be there to see that he was a physical shell of himself and unaware that my mom and I were there as he drew his last breath. I love great blues. One of my favorite pieces of bird artwork is of a great blue done by a local artist.

OMG. You guys.
I love DH. We had a fabulous time together on our little mini vacation. Thai food was amazing.
Trying to get the missy to an event in town. We might have family come.
I asked DH to check in with family to gauge interest in the event. Did he? No. I had to remind him.
OK. Fine. I spaz when i am stressed, he does not.
I told him specifically what to ask. Was there interest. That's all he had to do.
Then he's like, well should we plan on the event on Sunday? And he's getting pissy that I'm not nailing down a day to suggest.
I then had to mansplain to my own husband that he works part time, 20 hours a week (which he's done now, for just about 18 years). And that no, we don't have to do the event on Sunday. Like, you and family and the missy could do it on one of your days off.
However, if family doesn't want to do this event, then I would like to take her.
Given that I have 193 things that have to get done (including the scholarship for the girls school) in the next few days, I would like to have a plan for my time.
I have to tell you, I'm really pissed off that I had to remind DH that he only works 20 hours a week and has flexibility in his schedule to do things with the kids. And that is something I am not afforded working full time.
And that's the kind of shit that would make leap to grilling him if he was sober. Because he's not this stupid. If he was, I never would have married him. He does get checked out when he's off engaging in his addictive behavior.
I will say, it's just a fleeting thought in my mind. Which is a lot better than it has been.
The best course of action would be for me to angry knit. I don't have a project suitable for it. So here I am.
And now I'm off to cast something on so I do have a suitable project. I foresee a lot of angry knitting in the next few weeks.

I think Knoxville's airport is pretty tiny. You could also reserve the Uber ahead of time so you aren't waiting around on that. And if they are normally late that buys you some buffer time.
I did a chunk of my stupid 8 hours of mandatory training for my contract certification at my aunt's last month. She has a nice covered patio with a fan and it faces her waterfall/pond. Better than staring at the walls in my house.
I was irritated though because if you clicked to another window it stopped the video.

Waiting for MRI on my knee, just to make sure it isn't more serious. Took the day off, but will likely work some here and there.

I am going to run a few errands this morning. All will be using drive thrus.
I think I look like a freak and I am not getting out of the car. Only the person at each drive thru will get to see my face.

Only the person at each drive thru will get to see my face. How much of your face do you wish you could cover while it is healing? Is it possible to wear surgical masks or scarves to hide some of it to make yourself feel better?

Maybe you should have us workshop some cover stories for you, so you have it at the ready if people ask. And you can have fun with it. Oh this, I was working on the cargo ship that hit that bridge. Insurance finally covered the procedure to get my damaged face fixed.
