I'm waiting for my Arctic Chill so I can cool off the bedroom to sleep. Last night was cool - 60 degrees when I got up. So what did I think? Is fall here already? Also watching World Record McLaughlin win 400 meters. Beat WR by .04

How is your Dad doing tonight NomoreDramaQ1015? Was he able to get any sleep today? Better ish. He was going down the shoulder woulda rabbit hole again tonight looking up symptoms of heart attack in women. I told him I thought it was covid. Women are regularly written off as hormonal by medical professionals and sent home. He couldn't be expected to know. He got about an hour at the hospital. Hopefully he's better tonight. Still monitoring mom. They'll see how she does come morning and decide what to lower or stop medication wise. I take her trying to get up as a good sign. Her color is better and she's warmer. She was pretty stable all day So fingers crossed.

Good morning and happy Saturday, caring invisipeeps of Y Ma'am. I hope your day offers sustenance to your soul and music to match.
Today I will be collecting and putting out all the trash and various boxes from my retail madness, to clear out the house before Pod Day on Thursday. Also, I'll put up the rest of the shades. They showed up yesterday on a Fedex truck. The Fedex guy asked if we were building something; he's been coming by pretty much every day to deliver another payload.
The window ac is cooling pretty much the whole house, 1380 square feet. Ahh!

Got the dreaded, but not totally unexpected, notice today that the City will be replacing our sewer line over the next month. We have to leave our gate open from 7 am to 7 pm every effing day of the week. Just when I thought I was sort of done with house stuff. They will take the gate off, fence down, bring in a BobCat to dig down and connect the new sewer line. On any given day in the next month, without notice. They will either remove both my vegetable beds or many of my trees, depending on where they decide to locate my connection. They will do minimal restoration, but will not replace the damaged sprinkler system or landscaping lighting. They require that we reduce our water usage (showers, toilets, dishes, clothes etc) between 7 am and 7 pm during the next month so I'll have to bathe and run laundry at night or super early in the am. Okay, sleep is no big deal, right? And during the day(s) of connecting our house to the new sewer line we may not have ANY SEWER FUNCTION. I don't know about y'all but I use the toilet a lot these days what with 100+ temps and trying to stay hydrated. And DH has that little problem that goes with being a prostate cancer survivor. DH says we'll just stay at a hotel - yeah, right, for a whole freaking month? He's trying but right now he's just getting on my last nerve. Restoration of the damaged landscaping will probably run $1,000. And I have to AGAIN postpone resealing the decks because that can't happen when someone with a BobCat is running around the yard. I so want to stay here but I can't effing justify this cost. And it's about 90% probability that they will not backfill and compact adequately over the trench, so 100% probability that I'm in for $$$$ in added soil to fill the collapsed area in the next year. Rant Over! That sucks. I hope they keep the damage to a minimum.

DD and I did well at the doc, I had lost 5 more pounds, DD 3 or so but we are both fine. All our stats were great. We got more kudos for weight loss, they said between us we have lost 106 pounds!! DD 62 and me 44. So they want me to cut my Ozempic back to .25 mg from .50, and then will go to none. I told them I'm panicked that I will gain back the weight. They said if I start gaining they will put me back on it again. I am going to try to keep my eating like it is, but they also said the ozempic does flush the sugar out in the urine, so I can see why you would regain. <snip> So it was a great day for us. That's fantastic news- I know you and DD have been working at this. I share your attitude about meds- if there's any way to reduce or eliminate the need for them through diet or exercise, it's worth it. And the story of hubs just pulling apart the toilet ad replacing the flange- wow. There are days when I'd like to borrow him!

This is a random phot off the Internet of a Bullmastiff, and kind of what my Bullmastiff looked like, except she had more black on her face, was more muscular, and she had a white 7 on her chest. She just looked mean, (My Grandmother use to say “that dog is so ugly, she’s almost pretty. LOl!) and when I took her out in public, people would go out of their way to avoid her. But she really was a cream puff that loved people, especially children…… as long as “people” didn’t pose a real threat to HER people. She even loved going to the vet, and they loved her too. When we would be waiting in the waiting room, staff would come from the back to entertain her and love on her while we waited. And when I would board her there while I was out of town, they always said she might be missing when I got back. With all the talk about dogs lately, I am REALLY missing her. That's basically the twins. Jackson loves everyone and doesn't get that not everyone wants to play with him. Macy doesn't fool with other dogs but loves all people big or small. People usually cross the street when we walk past. Especially if I'm walking both of them. That's a lot of dog, but they are very cuddly. Everyone loves them.

Well, the border collie pups are all gone. Big shock. They were only 4 weeks old though, so they can't possibly be picking them up yet, maybe someone will back out. The director emailed me apologizing about the lab and said if I was interested in one of the other dogs there I could use the same app because it was their mistake, otherwise you need to submit a new app for each dog. I replied that I might be interested in one of the older dogs, but not having a strong prey drive is really important to me and it's impossible to tell looking at a picture online how they are going to be in that regard. I might have to switch to a rescue that keeps them all in foster homes instead of a shelter so they have more real life experience with them. eta: Omg...a husky/boxer cross. www.petfinder.com/dog/heidi-56399180/wi/alma/tails-of-hope-animal-rescue-wi523/?fbclid=IwAR1ZvMTronOMwaPDXrbfSTXPepfS0KtDLVs2cNhIv4xH99m3n7_dsL5b4JUShe's adorable! I say do it. However, I'm going to say that no matter what dog you show me.

Last night me AC started acting up. It's 100* so it's too hot for that. Luckily my cousin's son who cuts my grass just graduated from HVAC school. I had him replace the thermostat while he was here. He didn't want any money for it but I gave him $100. It would have been at least that much just for the service call. Now to bathe myself and go vote.

I'm not sure I can discontinue one of the doses of generic cymbalta, but if I need it I can just take both pills in the morning instead of one at night. It sure is making a difference in me sleeping at night. I had no idea until I researched it.
Here is something I messed up in my email. I had an email I wanted to take to the insurance office today, to show the company set up my monthly payments, I went to hit the drop down icon to select print and must have hit another one there. I have searched through trash, spam, unread, emails, and everything and cannot find that damn email. How in the world did it just disappear?. I though sure it would be in trash, nope, went through twice and enabled the search function and it's just gone??
Little guy this morning is telling us he wants to be a utuber. NO! I know some make money, but no, we want him to go to college, sigh.

Other than my lost email, things are great this morning. I should be picking veggies now, but I need to run to town and take care of the insurance thing. So as usual will do them in the heat of the day.
The typing on here is completing many of my sentences. I go back later and look and its completely different words then I typed. I correct them but gets frustrating.

please consult your doctor before messing with your meds again.... I'm irritated this morning. I am back from dropping the pups with M, and my sister called while I was driving home. I mentioned that M was keeping the pups all week for the stupid harbor cruise, and she starts laying into me about "well you knew when you moved back, that your commute would suck and what are you mad about?" um, what? I'm annoyed at the logistics this week for an afternoon on a fucking boat. I'm allowed to be annoyed, and I don't need the condescending lecture. someone remind me why I answer her calls? so I have the day to myself, I need to leave here by 6 or so for the backyard show. I think instead of the to-do list I'd started in my head, I'm going to park myself somewhere with a book. maybe in a soaking bath later.

I asked if I could run the new water heater (for the house, not the outdoor shower) through my CC and get some points for it and he said no. this was "employee pricing" and he doesn't accept CC.

If it's Gmail email there's an archive feature. I accidently hit that sometimes. That folder is pretty buried and I don't seem to see on the phone app. I usually have to get on a laptop to see it.

I realized I didn't need anything from the farmer's market this week so I was just going to get some stuff done in the yard. My dog was going crazy because she loves going with me on Saturday morning. We went to the Home Depot garden center instead and walked around, then went in and got a new broom. Picked up doughnuts on the way home. She's a happy camper.

No texts or calls last night or this morning. Dad was already gone when I woke up.
We went to Krispy Creme and got free donuts for Gwen's birthday. She's 12 today.
I told her don't hold it against me if I space. I very much want to enjoy her birthday but I have a lot on my mind.
We'll pick up her cake in a half hour then head to the Old Market.

I just filled out an adoption application for a collie/sheltie rescue. Not looking at any specific dog they have right now, but realized the kids and I wanted a collie and we are thinking of getting another dog so I should be watching for collies.

Thanks for this! I've also had gmail "eat" e-mails and I bet that's where they went. Now I need to go hunt for the Archive folder. I just got back form the library; took out a small pile of books to take on my visit with the grandchildren next week. Trying to motivate myself to mow the lawn. It's stinkin' hot out there.

I had two purebred shelties before my lab. LOVED those dogs.

I'm done with my coaching stuff. We sorted school supplies and have lists. We'll go shopping in a bit, and also stop at a store to pick up some paint chips.
I'll also probably stop in my local needlework store, too.
