I don't own a scale and usually just weigh myself at a doctor's appointment. You know those blood pressure machines at the pharmacies? My local pharmacy just got a new one, which not only tells you your BP but your weight and BMI.
I'm still 123 pounds and have a normal BMI for my height. I thought my weight would be much higher with all the prednisone I've been taking, but I'm good. It makes you ravenous! My painkiller, Tramadol, gives me a nasty taste in my mouth and makes me anorexic, so it's a juggling act and I'm all over the place. I'm happy with 123 pounds.

I saw where Ulta was in financial trouble. You may be to blame I'm the one who put them back in the black! Did this just happen? If so it is my fault. Ultra stock is doing well right now. I bought at around $300/share a few years ago. It has been bouncing between $340-420 over the last 6 months. Right now it’s over $407.

Bob and I are opening tomorrow. Dad is concerned about no business coming in.
We've ran it before and not burned it down. He can stay here with mom.
DH isn't thrilled. I said deal. I get he doesn't want to work. I can also understand his confusion.
But what he doesn't get is we are a small business not Amazon. We can't shut down for a week or more and just recover like nothing happened. Especially with overhead costs right now.
Hopefully he keeps the whining to a minimum.

It was Barbara's idiot boyfriend who drove me to see her yesterday. Barb's daughter set up my ride. It's really far away, but THE place to be if you have Traumatic Brain Injury. If anything, I loathe him even more now. "There's nothing wrong with her! She's fine! There's nothing wrong with her! She's not confused! I'm taking her home!' "Well, I'm really glad a forklift operator knows more than all the docotors" "I do know more than her doctors! I've known her for 4 years and there's nothing wrong with her mind!" 'Ive known her for over 30 years and she's NOT fine! She doesn't even know where she is and why!" What a fucking ass. I didn’t realize this was the same friend you had concerns about in regards to her “boyfriend”. I know your friend’s child(ren) have enough on their plates worrying about their Mom, but this “boyfriend” bears watching while your friend is even more vulnerable right now, and away from home, in the hospital. You are a great friend, and I completely understand why you loathe him even more now. I try my best to be non violent, but I still feel like some people deserve AT LEAST a good strong kick in the ass. Like this “boyfriend”.

So do we have to strengthen our YMAM bail out fund or do we have enough in the pot from prior occasions? Killing the ass is fine but a weekend in the slammer is not. We have Sushi to think ofc snd (I forgot his name) Welrz' fish as well. No need. I'm a nurse. I can make it look like a natural death. Little Dwayne is the name of my fish. He's bounced back quite nicely... I'm so glad I didn't kill him. Note to self: never mistreat a nurse or someone a nurse really cares about. But I have to say, I like the way you think.

Plus I'm the most experienced front of house. With us, DH and J we make the smoothest though very small team. It has to be us. I'm posting on the Facebook page We're opening late and we'll be on limited staff so please be patient. And if a Karen comes knocking well me and Bob have some anger to get out...

DD and I did well at the doc, I had lost 5 more pounds, DD 3 or so but we are both fine. All our stats were great. We got more kudos for weight loss, they said between us we have lost 106 pounds!! DD 62 and me 44. So they want me to cut my Ozempic back to .25 mg from .50, and then will go to none. I told them I'm panicked that I will gain back the weight. They said if I start gaining they will put me back on it again. I am going to try to keep my eating like it is, but they also said the ozempic does flush the sugar out in the urine, so I can see why you would regain. But other good news, they have been denied 3 times on the Nexlizet, I explained about my cardiologist, so they are going to withdraw their requests and let him try. They agreed he might be able to get it approved. I told them I quit asking for samples, just didn't feel it was right to keep doing it. They assured me it was not a problem at all, she said they get new samples every couple of weeks and have plenty, just keep asking and they gave me a months worth. It keeps my cholesterol perfect with no side effects. My glucose score was 4 and DD's 4.7, all our stats last night looked so very good. They are testing she and I again to see if any changes. They also highly approve of my steel cut oat regime. I said only issue is I get tired of them but will eat them anyway. Last visit with neurologist, we also talked about my duloxetine and he said if I can drop a does without symptoms, I can cut back. My docs are very happy with me I don't ask for more and more but try to scale back if I can. So, I have been eliminating the night dose and sleeping better, and so far, the neuropathy symptoms have not come back in the front of my legs, we will see how it goes. I don't want to have to take any more meds than I have to. I had read that the symptoms might clear after getting off the statins, took me almost 2 years. If I can cut the ozempic, that is sure going to save some bucks. The other drugs aren't all that expensive. So it was a great day for us. DD wanted to go to Olive Garden and she bought lunch. Then to Five Below and we both got a few things. Then she to Merle Norman to get moisturizer for her face. I stopped at TJ Maxx and bought her 2 cute dresses, first time she has had any in years, she looks cute. Then I went to JC Pennys and they had Levi's for little guy for $29 instead of $48, they have adjustable waist bands inside, he now has 3 pairs. I got him new shoes, other shirts and pants, socks, and jammies. He has plenty of shorts, shirts, underwear. Socks are an issue all the time, the dang things shrink, son said they fight that all the time too. I am on a tangent about encouraging people and telling them positive things I believe about them. I am still bothered about all the deaths of people I know, or know of, over the last 2 years or so, and it hasn’t stopped, I just stopped talking about it here. So it’s been on my mind lately to give people their “flowers” while they are still living, rather than waiting until they are gone to speak on the good things about them, when they can’t hear it. So I want to tell you that I believe your DH was a good son to his Mom, trying to see that she was taken care of, and going to see her regularly. And you were a good DIL, supporting your DH in getting the care his Mom needed, and handling the finances for her. Your children are both blessed to have you as their Mom, so is Little Guy blessed to have you and DH as grandparents. But what really prompted this post was your DD. I can only imagine the work and care that has gone into trying to give her the best life you can, but you’ve done it and continue to do it. You’ve done very well, and have been a huge blessing to your loved ones that have really needed you, from your own Mom in her later years, to your DD, and even your MIL when you were trying to tend to her before it became obvious that she needed more care than you could give her. You’ve even tried to help tenants in your rental properties get their lives together, when most landlords don’t even really see their tenants as people, just a source of income. You are an awesome woman, with a kind and generous soul, and I am grateful that there are people like you in this world.

Got the dreaded, but not totally unexpected, notice today that the City will be replacing our sewer line over the next month. We have to leave our gate open from 7 am to 7 pm every effing day of the week. Just when I thought I was sort of done with house stuff. They will take the gate off, fence down, bring in a BobCat to dig down and connect the new sewer line. On any given day in the next month, without notice. They will either remove both my vegetable beds or many of my trees, depending on where they decide to locate my connection. They will do minimal restoration, but will not replace the damaged sprinkler system or landscaping lighting. They require that we reduce our water usage (showers, toilets, dishes, clothes etc) between 7 am and 7 pm during the next month so I'll have to bathe and run laundry at night or super early in the am. Okay, sleep is no big deal, right? And during the day(s) of connecting our house to the new sewer line we may not have ANY SEWER FUNCTION. I don't know about y'all but I use the toilet a lot these days what with 100+ temps and trying to stay hydrated. And DH has that little problem that goes with being a prostate cancer survivor. DH says we'll just stay at a hotel - yeah, right, for a whole freaking month? He's trying but right now he's just getting on my last nerve.
Restoration of the damaged landscaping will probably run $1,000. And I have to AGAIN postpone resealing the decks because that can't happen when someone with a BobCat is running around the yard.
I so want to stay here but I can't effing justify this cost. And it's about 90% probability that they will not backfill and compact adequately over the trench, so 100% probability that I'm in for $$$$ in added soil to fill the collapsed area in the next year.
Rant Over!

DD's toilet was rocking. Hubs took it apart today and the flange in the floor was cracked. There was no leaking or rot or anything but it let one bolt come out. He took it all apart and I mopped and cleaned, stinky. He put a new wax ring in and new bolts and fixed it all. It's now in good shape again. Sure is handy having someone like him around. Also put a new seat on as the other was all discolored underneath. The old seat was better though. But now it's fixed. I did tell hubs I think he needs to purchase a better seat though and he agrees.

This is a random phot off the Internet of a Bullmastiff, and kind of what my Bullmastiff looked like, except she had more black on her face, was more muscular, and she had a white 7 on her chest. She just looked mean, (My Grandmother use to say “that dog is so ugly, she’s almost pretty. LOl!) and when I took her out in public, people would go out of their way to avoid her. But she really was a cream puff that loved people, especially children…… as long as “people” didn’t pose a real threat to HER people. She even loved going to the vet, and they loved her too. When we would be waiting in the waiting room, staff would come from the back to entertain her and love on her while we waited. And when I would board her there while I was out of town, they always said she might be missing when I got back. With all the talk about dogs lately, I am REALLY missing her.

I cracked a joke about leaking helium that probably signed my ticket to hell but sometimes humor is all you got. It made dad laugh. DH would have disapproved though.

Well, the border collie pups are all gone. Big shock. They were only 4 weeks old though, so they can't possibly be picking them up yet, maybe someone will back out. The director emailed me apologizing about the lab and said if I was interested in one of the other dogs there I could use the same app because it was their mistake, otherwise you need to submit a new app for each dog. I replied that I might be interested in one of the older dogs, but not having a strong prey drive is really important to me and it's impossible to tell looking at a picture online how they are going to be in that regard. I might have to switch to a rescue that keeps them all in foster homes instead of a shelter so they have more real life experience with them. eta: Omg...a husky/boxer cross. www.petfinder.com/dog/heidi-56399180/wi/alma/tails-of-hope-animal-rescue-wi523/?fbclid=IwAR1ZvMTronOMwaPDXrbfSTXPepfS0KtDLVs2cNhIv4xH99m3n7_dsL5b4JU

I love the looks of the husky/boxer minnesotapaintlady, however I don't know if it is true or not, but have always heard huskies and cats don't do well together and wouldn't chance it myself.

Huskies have way too much energy and are generally too smart for their own good. But those eyes!!
I'm apparently working on topping up my Marriott status for no particular reason this weekend. My uncle told my cousin not to come bc my grandma has been sick. No one told me and so I have a hotel room I don't really need.
I guess the spare bedroom will be clean and ready for them next weekend. It would have been nice to know.
I guess it's a combination of the bed and being my grandma's house but I sleep like the absolute dead here. I will crash out for 10, 11 hours easy. I was an adult and finished with grad school when she moved to this house so it's not the childhood house. I have the same mattress in my spare room and the few times I've slept in there its not the same.

I figured the Boxer would cancel out the nutjob Husky. LOL The description sounds like she's pretty mellow and she's only 40 pounds. That's just double the size of my cat.

I need to set up the ID so I can see my annuity account. The email said to print out the directions and gather all of the documents. What all do they want from me so I can see how much I was paid.
One part is still missing for the shower project. I'm guessing this is definitely a fall project. It better not be a winter project.
Amelia is perking up more with each hour and Maddow has stopped hissing at her. He's not totally in love with her yet either.
Drama, I hope your mother has a uneventful night and the work at the restaurant goes smoothly. I hope you, your dad and brother are all getting some rest and doing the best you can to take care of yourselves.

Annoyed again with DH. He's trying but he needs to stop and think.
We all feel bad we can't find the teens contact information. We also feel awkward that with everything going on it's best I run things so we're sending her home.
I plan on explaining everything we're not just kicking her out.
In a perfect world we'd be seamlessly executing everything it's not.
It's a decision between the owner and his three most experienced and trusted employees. I'm at peace with it.
She's not fired for Pete's sake and I'm sorry I don't have the bandwidth to care about a 16 year old losing three hours of pay.
