Not a good night of sleep.
Weird dreams. DS was vaping; I was almost killed by someone who broke into my car. Tried to strangle me. First cop was a faux cop and I couldn't find gig music.
Happy monday!

And the bill paying is not as awful as I thought.
I won't even complain about being broke.
Of course, I haven't paid our cc yet.

There have been times in my life that I said I would get a boob job, but then I realize that my bras fit much better/are more comfortable on my petite frame when my weight is in check and I can wear a bra <=34C. I am hesitant to use built in cups even at <34C but I am old and too conservative. I also have different standards for me vs. other women. I am about to be 50YO. I'm 5ft 7, normal size. My bra size is 40HH. 38DDD in the 6th grade. It took a long time for me to be comfortable with my breast due to abuse by male students. Not anymore. But that means that I also can not wear certain clothes comfortably. I am glad you are comfortable/at peace with the body you have. I have some friends/family that got boob reductions b/c their large breasts caused back issues etc. one girl from HS. She is about my size and had huge chest. She got a breast reduction in her 30’s and was so happy about it. I ran into her once when I was working downtown and she was so happy with the results she told me all about it.

Happy monday! Sounds very interesting. Any idea why you might have dreamt that? For me my car sometimes represents my physical body. In one dream I think my car and I went to the garage. Spontaneously all four wheels and tires fell off my vehicle. Days later I realized my dream was telling me I was in a dangerous position in regard to my physical ability to move and get around. That it was time to take things seriously. Rest, be healthy and fly right.

I have not found a ride yet to and back to the doctors. All I have gotten thus far is no's or the equivalent from Fri through yesterday. Hoping since this starts the work week, I might be able to find someone/something. IDK.
Got to fill out FMLA paperwork. Slog through Dad's IRA disbursement form with help, etc. Spend no money in case I have to use overdraft protection for August rent.
On the good news front I finally got my cable bill, so I have an educated guess as to what retention set my cable bill to for 1 year. Next step is a cheaper provider for my cell.

I have a long drive today for work. Two and a half hours each way. I've got a huge coffee and a podcast all lined up, and I'm just pondering where to eat lunch later. I'm leaning towards the Tex Mex place that has crazy good enchiladas.

Well, someone paid more for the Barber house. I guess I'll keep looking. I think the 77th house is nice, but it's overpriced. Maybe I'll see about Tullis. I'll maybe wait a week or so and see what else I find. I still have another month before I have to really start getting it together.

And no I have not remembered what I did with those damn bonds. I thought I knew where I put them but apparently did not. I keep thinking it will pop back into my mind but sure has not yet. And yes, its worrying me. It's a fair sized packet and its one of the older zippered bank bags you used to get to put money in with the Bank Logo and such on the front. It's not something you can miss if you see it. I still think they are in the desk area somewhere, that is where they brought in all that stuff and mixed it up with things I had already sorted. I'm going to spend an evening going through all that and see if I can find them. The process of getting old savings bonds cancelled and replaced is pretty simple. If you can't find them during the moving process, once you are all unpacked and settled in at your new place you can get them replaced. I think the old ones have your SSN on them so it is important to try to find them, but at least you won't lose the money if you can't find them. You can look up the serial numbers online and then fill out a form to get them either cashed out or just moved to be electronic bonds. I had to do this quite a few years ago when my house was broken into and my bonds were stolen. They were quickly reissued to me as electronic bonds. www.treasurydirect.gov/savings-bonds/manage-bonds/lost-stolen-destroyed-ee-or-i-bonds/

I'm looking at work clothes and remembering why I have no dress suit pants at the moment. I'm probably in the minority here but high waisted pants like that are the devil. Maybe it's the buttons/zipper/fabric. I'm okay in work out pants/leggings. But I just can't stand pants with the waist inches above the belly button. And I definitely can't stand sitting in them.
Probably a combo of allergy/sensory. For many years when I was a kid I didn't own jeans. I was probably almost in college before I had them. I have two weeks of back to back site visits coming up and the dress code is "business attire".

there is a stretchy work pant I bought from Old Navy a couple of months ago. It's super comfy and also looks professional - think leggings with pleats. I wear them with either oversized sweaters or a fitted tee and oversized blazer. You might want to check out ON - I think their stuff has gotten a little better over the past couple of years (or maybe just more my style, lol).

There's a pant style on their website I'm looking at. It's supposedly in store at the one 30 minutes from me. I have some linen blend ones from them but they are pretty wide leg and look a bit sloppy on me. I don't care on my one day in the office in the winter but trying to look put together for these visits. They aren't "friendly" visits.

Oh look, it's storming...again. This is getting so old.
I had a dentist appointment this morning and it was fine when I went in, not so fine an hour and a half later. I have the fridge again since DS needs his car for the dentist later and the van doesn't get its snow tires off until tomorrow morning, so hopefully no more hail. I still haven't given it a thorough inspection, but I did notice a couple dings from Saturday when I was looking at it in the parking lot this morning. Neither one of them was bad enough that I'd do anything about it. I also haven't gotten a step stool to look at the roof that is all glass yet.

I’m glad he didn’t take them. How did that mistake happen? and I find a glass of draft beer always works. or coffee and some bacon. 🤷♀️ Or Burger King. Not sure why just BK, and not any other fast food.

J was really funny last night. Mommy is at the University of Michigan so DN1 told me that she was going to call to tell J good night at some point. J is telling me all about Mercury and planets and how he was the one who taught me that Pluto is not a planet and mommy called. So we hung up. They called back shortly because J told mommy a quick good night and that he needed to continue talking to me. Then I learned that are 5 oceans, not 4. I'm sure NIL really appreciated his telling her he didn't want to talk to her.

I’m short to begin with and it feels like the material is right under my breasts. No thank you!

I've been logged into work since 8 and still struggling to get back into the swing of things. Aruba was beautiful... HOT as HELL, but beautiful! We are definitely going back, but will do some things a little different. Here are some pointers for anyone interested:
1. Bring cash, even if it's USD. And be sure to have small bills. When you shop at some stores outside the tourist bubble, they either won't take cards or they won't be awesome at the money conversion.
2. Shit is EXPENSIVE! Don't shop at the mega supermarket if you can help it - it's where the tourists go! Try Save-a-Lot/Save More - it's akin to Aldi/Lidl, and it's where locals shop. The selection isn't as extensive, but you can get produce, milk, eggs, meat, cereal, snacks, etc. just fine and for a hell of a lot cheaper than any shops in Noord/Oranjestad. We only ate lunch out since we didn't stay at an all-inclusive and cooked the rest. Basic restaurant lunch meals for us (2 people) were close to $70 USD in Noord/Oranjestad, and we would need a snack like an hour later because it wasn't a ton of food either. We found a local taco stand on the last day with a decent amount of food per entree. Total was under $20 USD, and the food was BOMB. Basically, eat and shop like a local to save money.
3. Every time you step outside, you either need to be covered or wearing at least SPF 50. The sun doesn't mess around that close to the Equator.
4. Getting back into the US requires you to show your passport like 5 times, go through TWO sets of luggage/shoes/carry-on scans, and answer questions multiple times about your travel, so give yourself plenty of time. The 2 sets of scans pissed me off - there's nothing new to grab between the first and second scans so it's a complete waste of time and money (hiring unnecessary staff).

I was thinking Mister's new car was going to be an EV. Is that not true? If it's an EV, wouldn't he want to keep it in the garage in order to charge it? . If I win the lottery tomorrow, one of the first things I would buy, would be an old muscle car. SAME! I'd get a Cherry red late 70s Pontiac GTO

I think those are the big reasons. I have allergies/metal sensitivity to nickel for sure. I have to buy nickel free earrings. I'm also short.
I think I'll go check out the Old Navy pants this week. I think I can grab another jacket for cheap from Kohl's. That will give me 3 and I can mix with long cardigans.
I'd wear one for multiple days but I'm not sure how that would go with the heat wave we are having.

I could/should have told you all that! We always bring $1,000 or so in cash whenever we go, to be safe. Glad you had a great time! I love Aruba so much. You go through Aruba security and customs and then US security and customs. Annoying, but then you are free and clear once you land at your home airport. Our flights to PHL are typically early enough in the day that the lines aren't too bad. I know if you arrive at the airport past a certain time it is a nightmare.

I also need to brush up on my Spanish because I was struggling! Our flight was a 2pm. Definitely not ideal for me as it's too early to do any last-minute activities and too late to have a nice relaxing morning. After all was said and done, we didn't get into our door til almost 9pm. I'm just so glad we took Friday off and had the full weekend to recover, lol.

Currency in Argentina is so volatile, that you have much more leverage in paying for purchases in USD. I paid about $60 for a pair of handmade, suede shoes that would have cost me $200 had I used plastic. The first time we were there, I think we had a couple hundred between us and we ran out of cash. The next time, we had about $700 with us. TD had been eyeing a t shirt after having bought 2 in USD. I had to prod him to use cash. While I was waiting for my shoes, he went back to buy the other t shirt, forgot to use cash and used plastic. He paid twice for that single t that he paid for the other 2!

DB, DS and I told mom yesterday that we are moving her to Assisted Living/memory care. She wants to stay in her house, but seemed to accept it at the end. IDK. I have to fill out the admittance forms/Pharmacy forms etc. I am overwhelmed. There is a pharmacy services agreement, and it Says "XYZ Pharmacy Service will accept the payment from your insurance company for medications and look to you for any unpaid balance not paid by your insurance company or contracted for packaging and delivery" It just seems as though they should accept what Medicare pays. I also cannot see my kids handling this stuff at all. I think I need to tape some pills and instructions to the bathroom mirror. Who was it that always said they were going to do that?
I have to run over to moms and call her Medicare PPO provider, they want her current Medicare card and I have no idea what ever happened to it.

I couldn't bring it with me on the plane, so my husband agreed to drive it to Canada. Instead, he sold it and kept the money.

Thought I was hot stuff. Married with a two year old.

Hosted another 5+ hour playdate yesterday, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and included bricks, cement, homemade torches, rice cooked over the fire in a Dutch oven, and Weird Al/Tom Lehrer. And, of course, soda mixing which is apparently now a club. That meets monthly. At our house We may have backed ourselves into a corner a bit here…I’d totally be ok with it if someone else wanted to host, but we have all the amenities, and no siblings to take into account. I suppose it’s a compliment that they tried to negotiate weekly or biweekly meetings?

We have the money in place. Cannot wire transfer until in the morning so that will be done. I have the power and gas on tomorrow. The water won't be transferred till the city tax assessor sees the information but they won't turn it off so I can use the water.
I have house insurance in place and the realtor has the keys and remotes. She thought basic cable is included in the fee but I don't remember seeing that. She said she deals with so many she wasn't sure. So I need to get Xfinity set up for the new place.
Sounds like things are moving along.
