Sleep didn't go well. Trying to make a list b4 get ride to get a few things. Today's sick day leaves one available for the entire rest of the year.

I wish I stank.
I was sweating yesterday during our little hike. We did a good clip, 20 minute mile, half of it up hill. We walked 2.5 miles.
No deodorant.
No stink. Just dirty hair.
I think chemo/radiation did more to my body than just kill my armpit hair on one side.
I wasn't like this before.
We also can't have 6 people showering every day. Legit, if we did, our water bill would be like 250 a month or more. I wish I were kidding. That's more than our power bills 6-8 months out of the year, and one week's worth of groceries.

My work group is being moved to a new division as of today. The new division has a micromanaging kind of feel. I need to stay strong. Oh, and I really just don't personally like my new grandboss. And it's Monday. Sigh.

I made it to 7:55 am before wanting to cry again. In my what I consider very valid reasons distracted state on Friday I left a couple of magic bullet cups in the sink soaking. Of course with me being gone on Friday my manager came in here to scan every surface and rearrange my shit again and found it.
I fucking KNEW this would happen. I should have forced myself to obsessively go around the room before I left for the day. Any time I dare to take a day off she does this.
I got a lecture about keeping the room clean and paying attention.
Why can't she just leave me alone? She won. Go away.

I'm sorry, Drama.
FWIW, it's in my best interests to really work and not take time off. Mine is for different reasons. Mostly, workload reasons.

And employers wonder why people snap? Gee couldn't be that I am having a panic attack over a freaking spatula being left in a sink and I will spend 20 minutes scrubbing said sink out of fear that if I leave for the day and there is a spot I'll get a bad performance review. Nah that couldn't have anything to do with an employee's emotional stability completely shattering into a million pieces. In fact that motivates you to do an even better job and strive to please your manager!

The girls and I were talking after FIL died. I said I'm sorry but I'm a millennial who graduated in 2006. I have no generational wealth to give. BUT they can look forward to inheriting my pogs and beanie baby collections. The look of horror on Gwen's face.🤣 LOL, I have saved Beanie Babies for my Kids, one is a Millennial and the other is Gen Z. I don't think I ever threatened to get rid of the Beanie Babies (There is a modest collection), but I did talk about getting rid of the Beanie Buddies in a Big Rubbermaid Container in the basement. DD said NO. I had hoped to inherit a bit of $$ from my Parents, but it looks like it will go to an Assisted Living/Memory Care facility for my Mom. My in-laws have 8 kids, and all they have is their house. That would amount to all of about $25,000 per child. I want to pay down DS's student loans to 10,000 but he has not given me the info to do that. I am trying to get it done before a Medicare lookback might come into play. Their Education may or may not be all we have to give our kids. We did gift DS the down payment on his Duplex. I would like to start an investment account for DD as it does not appear she will be buying a house any time soon. At one time we thought the kids would inherit our house and possibly one or two rental properties. Given my Mom's memory issues, I now fear that will not happen.

Back from the doctor and my manager is asking for an impossible task. One that I have explained ad nauseum why it is impossible. I should have just taken the entire week off.

If you recall, I lost a cousin recently who died while walking to her mail box. An autopsy was done but the results won't be back for about 6 months.
I was told yesterday that cousin's husband will not allow her parents and siblings to see their 3 daughters. Legally, grandparents have no rights. Unless there is something I don't know about, I find this to be very cruel.
One good thing my sister is doing is encouraging DN3 and his wife to allow his stepson to see his grandma at reasonable times and for reasonable amounts of time. His grandma lost her husband in March so she is deeply grieving her son and her husband. They would camp every summer in Minnesota as a family. The stepson always went and they took him last year. This summer she called and told DN3's wife that she could not handle taking the stepson up there as it was going to be so painful with two important people missing. She also said she thought this is the last summer they would probably make this trip because it's so hard to be there.
She has asked at unreasonable times. She wanted him for Thanksgiving weekend, the entire weekend. That was a no.
She asked to have him in August for his birthday. That is a no. It's also the first weekend of the state fair and my sister and her family always go to the State Fair the first weekend of the fair. DN3 said last night that is when they are going but the no was that she can't have him for his birthday.
I'm just the aunt but I suggested they set up some times that would be easier for everyone and Grandma has to realize that there are times of the year when she can't have her grandson. She is not going to get him for holidays and his birthday even though that was in the original custoday agreement. The dad died and that agreement had been terminated by the court.
There is also the matter of getting him to and from Grandma as they live in northern Wisconsin. Even meeting halfway, it's a drive.

Different way of life now compared to our early and mid married life. People went out to eat rarely, cars and houses were smaller and simpler. Houses had often only 1 bathroom later second but small bath in main BR. Kitchens were pretty utilitarian. Avocado green or harvest gold! Seemed luxurious compared to our parents little kitchens. Cars were mostly smaller sedans. Now when driving most of the cars look pretty new and big. Forty years ago lots more jalopies that had rust or primer waiting for cheap paint job . Earl SHEIN $100 We lived frugally not spending much other than tuition for private HS and college for 3 kids and Med school tuition for one. No loans but of course tuitions were much more realistic. Thinking loans made it easier for colleges to raise tuitions to ridiculous smounts I didn’t know anyone who traveled to Europe or the Caribbean till maybe I was 15 years out of college. Companies we worked for had little to offer for retirement programs after pensions disappeared. We really didn’t start saving seriously till after the tuition years were done. When kids were in school we spent vacations with family ‘down the shore’. Went out to eat maybe less than 10 times year. Yes our house is paid for but priorities were on kids education and paying off house. Then seriously saving. Now we can take nice vacations, eat out when we want but not without going through lots of frugal years. So people can look at Boomers and say they are doing well but don’t think about the earlier years I'm going to have to disagree with that. I remember going out to eat every friday with my parents, and then they went out saturday. My mom bought a brand new fancy car every 4 years, and I grew up in a 3,000 square foot victorian. My sister and I had awesome clothes. My brother didn't because he didn't care. We did lots of extracurriculars like dance, figure skating, and hockety. My parents were very blue collar, my dad was a firefighter and meatcutter, and my mom was a hair dresser. However, we didn't travel. My parents did travel in their retirement.

We are up and moving. Hubs got in at 4AM. He showered and hit the bed. I got up at 8 and was very quiet so he could sleep. So I sat in my recliner with Smoke, he didn't even want out. He and I eventually went back to sleep. DD got up and took her bath, I went to sleep till hubs got up. We all just ate breakfast. He is tired but ok. So he got about 8 hours sleep, but he said he is very tired. I'm sure he is.
But I looked at him this morning and his hair is turning white, the back of his head was white. I see him in bed and my big, strong, viral husband is shrinking. It breaks my heart because without this and all the treatment he has had he would still be that way. To tell me he cannot lift anymore, that is not him. I'm trying to not let my concern show, but its in my heart for him.

I would be so stank. I have to shower at least once day. That and I can't smell bad. Say whatever you want about me, nobody will ever say that I stink. In the past 5 years or so I don't know what has happened to me, I don't know if it's something hormonal of more serious, but I SWEAT like nobody's business. It's only 61 degrees outside and I went out to trim for a little while...it couldn't have been more than 30 minutes...and my hair looks like I just stepped out of the shower, it's literally soaking wet.
Anyhow, the end result is, going more than 24 hours without a shower is not a good idea if there is any chance I am going to come in contact with another human. I think it's hormonal. I'm about the same age, and OMG, the sweat. I cleaned my car yesterday and it looked like i jumped in the pool. And it really did not work that card. Wiping down the interior and vacuuming are not hard work.

DS is now graduated from HS. He graduated 16th in his class out of 105, National Honor Society, and Regents Diploma with Mastery in Math and Science. He also was awarded the Firefighters Union scholarship. I'm very proud of him.
We had the Project Grad party on Saturday night after graduation. I was the treasurer, so I spent the night administering the quick cash the kids won during the games so they could buy prizes at the auction at the end. We got home at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday. I'm still dying here.

DD and my docs have been awesome, they are giving us scripts for 3 months of everything so we can get settled and not run out till I can get her Medicaid going. We have 2 more to go, so will see how it goes. I think we may be able to get ozempic the same way. I'm not sure if we can get it all at once though, and my neighbor mailing it could be a problem as it has to be kept below 80 degrees, so not sure about that.
But still so far things are going good, we hope they continue to.
I need to get dressed and busy and take loads of stuff to town and put them out by the road. Hope the rest is picked up also. Got to get this garage cleaned out so we can go again.

We had some very poor people come by and heard we were giving the rest away. Between them they took a lot. Another old guy took hubs shirts, we had very very nice clothing but it was XL, L, 16s. 17.s and 18's of hubs. I put them beside the road and told people help themselves.
He gave the 2 bicycles to an old guy that fixes them and sells them, they didn't need fixed. And I had boots and shoes. So we feel good that needy people got some things.
Ok, my car is loaded down to the free store I go. We would not have all these nice clothes to give away if we had not lost weight.
Later all!
My old love is up and moving, he took the old guy and the bikes down into where he lives, its kind of in the river bottoms from here.
All is good for this day.

I refilled the feeders and bird baths, then we went to Aldi. The kitchen is scrubbed and mopped. Tomorrow we'll go to Whole Foods for some goodies for the 4th, and Wednesday I'm going to pull the fridge out to clean around and behind it. That's always interesting ![](https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/wink.png) ETA: We just saw a flock of Ibis in a neighbor's yard-folks on the other side of the freeway had flocks yesterday. We normally see them in the drainage ditches but these birds are stalking the yards, apparently for insects

Giving any pill to him is the problem. Right now they are out in the garage not outside. They like it out there too. It's 8 and I'm thinking about going to bed. i am really worn down. I did manage to pack 2 boxes today also. Have almost cleared out the hutch in the dining room, so that's good. Trust me, I understand how hard it is to give a cat a pill. My DS3 has it down to a science. The kitty gets a treat every time they use the "pea shooter" to give him his pill. Cat gets a pill every other day now. But he sits there on his off days, waiting for his treat. So they pretend to give him the pill, and he still gets his treat. My cat had to take a pill for anemia. I would grind it up and stir it into the yummy stinky wet cat food. She gobbled it down.

For the most part, I think social media is awful. But, if anyone here is on Facebook...follow Pet Portraits by Hercule. I swear, no matter how crappy of a day I'm having I crack up whenever a new commission shows up in my feed.

Good morning, boomxennialy invisipeeps as you manage your lives and real estate holdings. Welcome to Monday morning, you sure look fine. I hope your day presents only readily solvable problems and points to a bright future, be it the next day, week or five years. I hope no miscreants sit on your pizza and that cookies are available to savor. Today I will help DD prepare for her first day, tomorrow, of her new job. She'll be in training for 2 days to start. She needs to have her new scrubs hemmed, so we/I need to find where to get that done. I think she'll be working with patients starting next week. They use equipment like what she'd used at the hospital for vital signs, medication dispensing, IV pumps and the like, so she'll be on familar territory there. She's nervous and excited. Yesterday we took the day for R&R after the show. We have another this Saturday if it doesn't rain. If it does, we'll go to Sunday. These shows entail a lot of physical labor to pack, set up, break down and unpack. It was very foggy yesterday morning. I took this picture a couple of days ago, of the sun setting in a curve of clouds over the hurricane barrier: ![Sun setting over hurricane barrier](https://i.imgur.com/qLv5yeH.jpeg) Beautiful!!!

I can't remember the last time I had a meal. The food in the ER was inedible, and since I've been home, I can barely hold down some juice. I just want to sleep.

Just had a very successful meeting with a potential vendor, my manager and his adjacent manager, where both managers acknowledged that I am the HBIC and the only person who can answer their questions. Not in those words but that was the gist. Sort of peeved that I was the one that provided them with reports but that they did not include me previously on questions they had on said reports, or even invite me to this meeting - my manager sent it this AM.
Well, now they know so hopefully they do better in the future.

I get left off of shit all the time, while also getting CCd on everything that I don't need to worry about.
