I am a big fan of German shepherds and golden retrievers. Both are great with kids and my Belgian malumute really dose not shed ,German shepherds are also protective I can leave the little kids outside with dogs they are safe. Pink: jeeps have lots of issues with their computers check oil if full computer needs reprogramming around 3k for mine before I junked it because it is a dodge product

It's not good. I told DH to bring the kids. OMFG. I can't do this. It's going to kill my dad. They were going to hit 40 years in two weeks. Crap. I have no words.

I should have driven her here myself on Wednesday. I don't know what to do about Gwen's birthday I feel like an ass canceling it. I feel like an ass not canceling it. I'm losing my fucking mind

I really want a young adult female beagle or beagle mix. We have many cats and one dog. My dog really needs a playmate! I'm keeping an eye out and know the right dog will cross our paths. Beagles are fun, but as with all breeds there are some downsides. They tend to howl at night and can overeat. We had 2 several years ago, and one had a serious eating disorder, would eat anything and everything. One time he ate through a can of Pepsi to get what was inside.

Regardless of what happens, what you decide, Gwen has you and her father as loving parents so she's 100 miles ahead of the curve already. I suspect you know that many of us will be checking our phones tonight to be with you.

Drama, I am so sorry. Sending healing thoughts your way.
As to Gwen‘s party, can you delegate that to your DH? Gwen is old enough to weigh in on what she’s comfortable with too. Sometimes it’s a kindness to give people something to do other than hover around feeling helpless.
Fingers crossed.

I already have Gwen's birthday scheduled we were going to get facials and pedicures.
IDK if we should still go or not.
I have 24 hours to cancel without the fee and if I explain I'd like to think if I go past they wouldn't charge me.
I'm going to wait till tomorrow morning. Doing it now seems too fatalistic.
Gwen is okay if it is postponed.
I'm really scares right now Nobody prepares you for how to handle this. I told mom she has to get better she left me no funeral directions I don't want her haunting me.

Hugs, Drama. I'm so sorry. That's good news your mom is stable.
Fingers crossed that the doctors are doing exactly what they need to do to help her weather this and figure out treatment options.

DH and I are on the hunt for a third dog, but we can't figure out what breed to get. We currently have an 11yo beagle and 3yo lab. We want a dog that is active and good with kids. I don't want another lab, and he doesn't want anymore boxers (we have had 3). We were thinking about a vizsla, but they are even needier than labs. Then we moved on to german shorthair pointers (too much energy), then rhodesian ridgebacks (too stubborn and big), then irish setters (he says they're too hard-headed), and now wirehaired pointer griffons. I want a medium-sized dog that I can pick up (our lab is 85 pounds, but the vet said he needs to lose 10!) in case of future mobility issues (I carried our boxer up and down stairs for several months before he died) or whatever else may happen. We just cannot come to an agreement! But maybe I should look into large dogs. We don't want another small one until our beagle passes away (I'm rooting for a cavalier king charles spaniel but DH says no). What about a pitbull. They're the sweetest dogs ever and can keep up with activity. Plus they're adorable.

We have so damn many how-to books online and in the stores, but nothing covers this thing most of us have to go through at some point. Whatever you do, will be the right thing to do, the wisdom your mother had endowed you with from birth, her love for you and your love back to her, the love you give to your daughters

OMG NomoreDramaQ1015, you and your entire family have been through so much the last couple of years, it is hard to imagine that everyone is faced with yet another heartache to deal with.
I sincerely hope your mom beats all the odds and makes a complete recovery and that nothing further is added to any of your plates. They all are too full already.

Unfortunately, we'll both be at the hospital today. My relative is back in the hospital, and the doctor says he's quite sick. He's septic again. Don't know whether his nursing home missed the symptoms earlier, or what, but he's in ICU. Could be UTI, or something else. I just hate hospitals. Hang in there, busymom! Hugs

Mister got back home not too long ago, from buying a part to fix my brake lights. Newbie and I went in the garage to keep him company while he worked. It’s kind of sexy to me sometimes, watching Mister fix stuff. He was just about done when Newbie and I went in the garage. My brake light problem is fixed now. YAYYYYYY Mister! The part he bought cost $10. I’m winning today as far as car repairs go. It’s not over yet though, because the Jeep may be another story.

But if you decide not to cancel your appointments for you and Gwen, just think how good your skin and toes will look, during a devastating time! And maybe you both could use a break from all the trauma. I'm not saying you should, or shouldn't do it. Just giving you one perspective. I really hope she comes through this and you don't have to make any of these devastating decisions. (Are you making a list of things you want her to tell you/decide, if/when she's able?)

NomoreDramaQ1015, I'm so sorry you're dealing with all of this. I know there are few things as tough as saying good-bye to your Mom. It must be a sucky day to be in the hospital. My relative is not doing well. I even had a palliative nurse stop & talk to me for a few minutes. Depending on how this goes, I may need to make some decisions in a few areas that were never discussed, although this relative & I have talked in detail about what he wanted, and didn't want done at a hospital.
