Have I missed the links to the dresses? I am curious…okay, just nosy No, I didn't post any links. I will though. I wound up starting with Nordstrom's, only because I knew I'd be returning them and I wanted the process as easy as possible. They really did have the largest selection in my size. First Place: Comfortable, strangely enough. Looked really good, even without any sort of shaper underneath. Loved the color. www.nordstrom.com/s/adrianna-papell-beaded-floral-godet-gown-plus/7678229?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FDresses%2FFormal&fashionsize=size%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F22W%2C%203X%2C%2024%7Csize%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F20W%2C%202X%2C%2022&color=400Second Place: Comfortable, and looked better on than on the hanger. This was also the least expensive. I really liked it on, the only thing I didn't like was that it was sleeveless, but I did bring back a cashmere pashmina from India that would have worked well with it. I hate my upper arms. www.nordstrom.com/s/gathered-waist-sleeveless-gown-plus/7869372?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FDresses%2FFormal&fashionsize=size%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F22W%2C%203X%2C%2024%7Csize%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F20W%2C%202X%2C%2022&color=485Third Place: Comfortable, moved well. I liked it, but the navy background almost looked black. www.nordstrom.com/s/kiyonna-embroidered-elegance-floral-gown-plus-size/5404532?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FDresses%2FFormal&fashionsize=size%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F22W%2C%203X%2C%2024%7Csize%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F20W%2C%202X%2C%2022&color=001Fourth Place: Fit, was comfortable. It was darker than I thought it'd be and I'd need to cut a good 8" off the bottom. Neck was a little tight and wouldn't allow me to wear the jewelry that I wanted to wear. www.nordstrom.com/s/mac-duggal-floral-embellished-gown/6961458?origin=category-personalizedsort&breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FDresses%2FFormal&fashionsize=size%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F22W%2C%203X%2C%2024%7Csize%2FWomens%20Clothing%2F20W%2C%202X%2C%2022&color=003Fifth Place: Itched like you wouldn't believe. As soon as it was zipped, I needed it off NOW. Would have looked great with my black pearls though. The color was more of a pale pink with a grey lace overlay. This was the most expensive of what I ordered. ttps://www.nordstrom.com/s/floral-embroidered-gown/7659881?utm_source=N_transactional&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ReturnIPrint&utm_channel=email_tran_ret_p&utm_term=755956&utm_content=20240625_proddescr1 Nice dresses! Not that I'm trying to make trouble, but did you look at Saks? That's where I found my MOB dress, and they have a 30-day return policy. (Dress #1 is my favorite, too.)

Idk what’s gotten into Mister, but when I got home from work today, I saw he’d gotten my car cleaned. Which I REALLY appreciate because it was filthy. She looks so spiffy now that I might drive her to work in the morning. He’s not listening to me on waiting to stain the deck, even though he was standing right there when I was asking the guy about it and he said that I was right, it is better to wait. Mister just wants to be done with it, which I understand, because I do too, but I also want to do it right and avoid any unnecessary potential problems. I’m not willing to fight with him about it, so whatever. I also am not going to want to hear not ONE freaking word if it causes problems, and it will be his problems to fix. So it sounds like it will be done some time next week.

Heavy thunderstorms with high wind gusts. Apparently did some damage in PA. Put the bulbs in my battery-operated candles after the first serious power flicker. Hopefully in a couple hours the worst of it will be over. Feel bad for anyone who gets off work about now or in the next hour or so.

I'm thinking of buying some of those solar powered lamps I keep reading about. You just leave them outside to power up, then bring 'em indoors when you need them.

In other news, I showed the guy that’s doing the deck, where I’d like to create a separate seating area on the ground, and asked him for a wild ass guess to how much it might cost for him to do the surface stuff. Long story short, it was much less than I expected, and even if it ends up being double, I’m good with that too. And of course the type of materials will play a big part in cost, but I have control over what I choose for the surface.
The entire project might end up being a bit expensive over the long term, because I want it to eventually be covered, but it was good news that I could get it started for a lot less than I thought. I’m not trying to do it anytime soon, I just wanted the information for later.
Yesterday Mister asked him does he do interior work too, and he said we can take your whole house apart and put it back together and make it better than ever. I thought that was kind of funny.
Mister was asking because his Aunt had an escapade Monday that’s didn’t go well, that I didn’t tell you all about. Mister told her (again) that he’s going to disable her car, since she keeps driving even though she knows she shouldn’t. The first time he said it, she got upset. This time, she knew she had really messed up, and she whined and tried to plead her case more than she tried to argue.

So, I found a product called carbliss.
I think it's a midwestern product thing.
Water is carbonated, but no malt.
0 sugar.
0 carbs
And there is alcohol.
12 oz. 5%. I'm half way done and I've got a nice little buzz.
I am pleased.

If fell asleep and woke up crushed by cats. It's like they knew they messed up and are trying to make up for it. Or maybe they thought I was going to abandon them, who knows. They are so funny and still drunk. They could have reversed the effect but the vet said they would be ok, just dopey, but they still are at 10:30. Maybe they will sleep well tonight. Tigger is draped over my legs. Now they make me love them even more, even after their "display". They were just scared.
Boy my house is a disaster. I have stuff boxed and stacked everywhere. And stuff ready for sale and more that needs made ready. Now I'm reading that it may rain Saturday. I may just put what I was going to sit outside on the dining room table and another table or two and close off the bedrooms, not sure right now. It would work ok, and since it isn't clean in here it sure wouldn't hurt anything.
Hubs still sounds so tired. He said he got the tractor and accessories off the trailer and was in the back yard at sons doing a bit of work. He said there is so much to do its going to take quite awhile. Son said he and dad were so pooped out yesterday they did nothing. Flying wears me out too.
We will all get settled down one day and be ok, but its going to take some time. I told hubs I hope this is our last move. We have talked about a lot and a new modular but I just don't think either of us are up to it and taking care of it. I really think this is what we need. But I will listen to him and not discourage him, and I don't think we will pursue it.

I have so many questions. The guy that worked on the deck is going to stain it. He said to me, in front of Mister, that it is better to wait to stain it. I encouraged Mister to not just take my word for it, to research how long you should wait t stain a deck with treated lumber. He declined to do that and has decided to ignore all of that, and says he is going to have the guy stain it next week. Okay, and that kind of thinking is probably why we had to do extensive repairs to a deck that was built just 6 years go,

So, it looks like a second 30-something person that I knew died by suicide. I should not be outliving 30 year olds. I'm so sorry.

Spent the day at the hospital. I was having chest pain and was debating my next course of action, when 911 calls ME to tell me an ambulance is on its way. Six paramedics show up and take me to the Montreal General. EKGs done, bloods done, had a chest X-ray and a CT scan. It's not a heart attack. It's calcification of a cardiac artery. I'm probably going to need another stent. I also have a mass on my lung. Lovely

Going to bed, I have been able to get away from these 2 all afternoon. They have been on top of me. Tig is doing better he finally relocated to his side of the bed. I fed them and they were really hungry. Smoke is still curled up beside me, I'm using him as an arm support while I type. He doesn't seem to mind.
Setting alarm early, a lot to do tomorrow and off to the doc in the city, leaving about 2. Hubs is making progress up there with paperwork. I want to get this closed and the other one for sale.
There are 2 tiny mobiles where our old one is. They have been redone nicely in side. But one is 762 SQ ft, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, some window AC's $139k, I can't believe it. Another tiny one bedroom like that sold for $159k out there, but it was lake front. Ours isn't that newish inside but its nice. New stove, outside freshly painted, concrete patio needs power washed, other has 1 car carport, we have 2 and a shed. Plus the big lawn because of the well house and a new heat pump, its also 2 bed, 2 bath and 1200 + SQ ft. i'm hopeful we will make a profit on it, bet we get more than the $70k we paid for it.
Almost 2AM, slept this afternoon but intended to go to bed early tonight.

Hope the mass is benign and they have a plan to deal with it.

Good morning, discriminating and determined invisipeeps, evaluating properties and dresses and life choices. Welcome to Thursday. I hope your day proceeds well. I hope difficult and painful things prove to be inconsequential, and that you find your way through any mine fields to easy living. We're having thunderstorms right now. It's raining. Instead of going to the beach this morning, I'm going to color my hair. We'll be headed to DSis's this afternoon. We have a present for her granddaughter who will be 5 tomorrow. It's just what she wanted--a real alarm clock! I hope she loves it. I think she will. Also need to spend time today prepping for show Saturday. I got a few things done yesterday, but there's always a lot to do at the end, including tagging pictures and matting and/or framing everything. This was yesterday's beginning, at the beach:

Hoping to return to bed soon. Yesterday was awful, only got two hours of sleep after more than a week of 4 to 5 hours of broken sleep for at least a week plus. Sinuses are dry and stuffed up causing the body to be in a state of alarm at night. Neti potted yesterday morning and seemed to do nothing. Wanted to take a sick day for today so I could concentrate on hydration, neti potting, spritzing my nasal cavities more than 4 times a shift in hopes of correcting the issue or at least starting to. But, someone is out the next few days and the entire company is understaffed at the moment. Some surprise departures including people moving out of state in the next couple of days. Let's see if today I can sleep at least part of the last couple hours before the alarm goes off.

Not sure what to do. Wanted to pre call out sick for today yesterday, but manager said no as there are no floaters available and a coworker has approved time off for the next three days. If I call out sick today or tomorrow, the office will be at 50% staff . It can handle being at three, two not so much.
I do need to call out today or tomorrow though as I am operating on almost no sleep and my physicality and abilities are severely degraded. Since it all goes back to stuck non draining sinuses, the longer I wait, the more days it takes to recover. I should have tried harder to unstick sinuses the last week plus of wicked record temps, but I did not. I only concentrated very hard on hydration so I could walk home from the bus without collapsing. (Not exaggerating on that sadly).
So I know I should call out today or tomorrow. Sat is a half day so I will power through. Debating on what to do. Today is a big day because of what happens and tomorrow is Friday which tends to be busy. Sadly had my brain on two hours f sleep could have reflected on it, the day to call out was Wednesday when full staff minus me was available. But because I couldn 't sleep all night, getting only about two hours I made the not good decision of coming in as I could not call out in a timely manner. Boss prefers timely notice, early as possible ... however texting at 4AM in the morning is not considered good I think.
I am not a regular people and keep weird hours even at the best of times. Hard to manage expectations of a boss who is almost a polar opposite of me in many ways. I think I am partially up because I know she is. Went for industrial help and I think got 4 hours of sleep which is danger zone but not as fatal as two hours.

Leaning towards going in, possibly on a later bus since there are two two person things that need to happen today and only one two person thing that has to happen tomorrow. Today and tomorrow are usually the busiest days, but not always. Feel like crap though and off my usual morning sched by a half hour. Hate being poor, hate having no car, hate not being able to get sleep helpers until Sat morning unless I call out sick cuz weather plus bus. Yet today would be the better day to take looking at the three day in a row sick rule. Since I am pushing myself for the job's convenience not mine, I may end up taking three business days off in a row, with one of them being scheduled as a vacation day. Sat is a bonus day so working it, I don't think counts if I take off tomorrow sick and then Mon & Tuesday. Sucks being me. Boss is a decade younger than me more or less and has 5 weeks of vacay. I have two because I have less than 5 years of service.

It is silly of course, but I swear that I felt paws on the bed as I was falling asleep last night. It wasn't the other kitty because the bedroom door was closed. Sigh.

I want to go to the grocery store instead of work this morning to get things like oscar meyer turkey (help with sleep during the night) etc. but if I do a half day I would have to do two walks of 1 mi RT in heat. I'm not even really up to one RT a day today. Heat index on the way home is generally near 100 or high 90s lately. Might however do that tomorrow, come in for the afternoon half day. Tomorrow is cooler too.

coming into the day with a bit of an attitude. We booked our Aruba vacation in early May and rented a place on VRBO. It's off the tourist path and has a pool. Well.... don't you know, the owner emailed us yesterday to say the pool will be closed for maintenance and there will be construction during our stay. Conveniently, they waited to let us know this after the date to get a full refund passed. DH is PISSED. And now we're scrambling to find a new place for our vacation that's happening in less than 2 weeks. We might have to suck it up and do a resort. The only reason we steer clear of resorts is that DH has a lot of dietary issues, so we need to do a fair amount of cooking.... and so, a kitchen with a stove is essential for any vacation. Most resorts don't have suites with kitchens, but I guess we'll keep looking. SIGH.....

They ought to be a full refund due to the fact that you now do not have access to the expected amenities and the inconvenience of construction.

I don't know if this is good or bad. The community we are buying into has only had 1 sale in 2015. Apparently these people have lived their forever. Only 51 families and are over 55, so I bet its a tight knit bunch, guess we will see how that goes. It could be very good or very bad, depending I guess.
I'm back at looking for movers, we only have one quote so far. I would take it and be done with it, but hubs wants me to do more.
