We’ll have one girl left (a blue point) and she is elderly too, turned 16 in Feb. Ten years ago we had 5. Both girls are SPCA adoptions. The blue point had a sudden spike in blood pressure that almost killed her last summer. She is being treated for that, but is also exhibiting symptoms of feline dementia. The seal point has been treated for pancreatitis for almost 2 years. When we saw the vet on Friday, she told us she did not expect sweet Mokka to still be with us this long. Sorry.

I can’t sleep. I think I am going to have to bring our sweet, almost 17 YO seal point snowshoe siamese for her last vet visit today.

A had a doctor appointment today, I went with. He is off the rest of the day, but with this heat we are just staying inside relaxing. I spent 12000 on Momo and haven't regretted it. Momo? Momo is the Shiba Inu we got back in 2020, Momo means peach in Japanese.

She moved to TX with me when I went over there for work and then back to FL, and now here in TN.

Working on my slide about proper sample handling. Apparently "Keep messing with my shit I'll kick your ass" creates a "hostile workplace". Hmph. Have to figure out how to word that more professionally.

Wilbur is so stupid and I am so mad at all of us. He ate a damn tampon. He barfed it up this morning. That would explain all the hacking and gagging the last couple of days. He is lucky he got it up. I am very upset with him and our carelessness.
I gave him a stern lecture. We need to make sure all sanitary products are out of his reach and keep the bathroom door shut. Also need to get a can with a lid which will at least slow him down and we can hear him trying to knock it over.
Stupid dog. I've never had a dog with a tampon fetish in the entire time I've owned dogs so this is a new one for me.

You are correct that no house is perfect. Maybe if you have a custom home built for you. That was never in my budget. I do like this house.

Ed went home last night...to his new home several hours away. I'll probably never see him again. This morning it was back to fighting with getting the stupid goat into her pen in the morning. When Ed was here he kept that b***h in line.

Dogs are gross. That is all. Definitely. At one time we had one that helped herself to presents in the litter box. She really had to cram herself in, because we use covered boxes and both girls poo in the back of the box.

I was told last night that the only uncle that needs money for military wall is the oldest. He had no children. The descendants are each paying for their uncle's piece. So my money will be used towards Uncle Oren's piece.
I know mom would like that. After he returned home from the Army, he helped mom move to town. She was quite homesick but because of gas rationing, she couldn't go home very often. Not to mention, she didn't have a car.
Uncle Oren took his younger sister under his wing. They combined their gas rations so they could visit their parents periodically and he got her to the places she couldn't walk to in town.
At that time in her life, he was her rock.

TheOtherMe curious about your military wall. Is it only your family? Or part of a biggger wall Where will it be? A park? Government building?
Nice to honor your uncles and brings good memories of your uncle and mom.

I was going to try and go the manufactured home route so I could get exactly what I wanted. Holy crap those are expensive! I decided against that real quick. This one really just needs some paint on the walls and refinished floors on the inside. The outside could stand a good power washing. All those things can be done over time. The house appears to have good bones which is really all that's important.

I agree, that house looks good in general, andi9899. One thing, if you're thinking you could add a back deck, which would be nice, you'd have to figure out where to put a door to the deck. It looks to me that your options are through the kitchen, which would involve fancy reconfiguration, or through a bedroom. Nice to have 2 garages and a finished basement, plus hardwood floors.

It looks like that place to the far left of the house in the picture of the back would be a good place for a deck (that window above and to the left of the electrical is the kitchen), but I can't figure out what's in that area with no windows further left by looking at the inside pictures.
What's over there??!

Based on the front elevation, that is probably the back of the garage.

Based on the front elevation, that is probably the back of the garage. Oh yeah, I forgot there was an attached garage in addition to the one in back. So it looks like the options for a back deck are through a bedroom or the garage.

I've never had a dog with a tampon fetish in the entire time I've owned dogs so this is a new one for me. Yeah, I was in the backyard once with my dogs and one of them had something white sticking out of his butt. I started pulling, telling him how gross he was. It was one of DD's footie socks. He loves to play with them, toss them up in the air and catch them. You think they are harmless. Damn dog is lucky he didn't need surgery. Both my dogs love to nose in the bathroom garbage. Every garbage can that is at their height has a cover on it. One in each bathroom and I have one in the bedroom and the living room (it is tucked in a corner and not really visible). If you look on Amazon you can get some paired deals. I stuck with the Simple Human version and avoided the motion sensor ones. I have decided I like the simple human bags for those cans. www.amazon.com/simplehuman-Stainless-Bathroom-Profile-Brushed/dp/B0015YJ9WA?pd_rd_w=lUY6u&content-id=amzn1.sym.d5ef238f-cc6b-4540-aa3d-ad191f99daba&pf_rd_p=d5ef238f-cc6b-4540-aa3d-ad191f99daba&pf_rd_r=A80EA3B6R67D0K7NR6YB&pd_rd_wg=GSzIX&pd_rd_r=837e1956-a4ed-4609-a012-97d879bf758f&pd_rd_i=B0015YJ9WA&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_nb_sb_ss_w_as-ontype-md_k2_11_16_t&th=1(Same Price at Target) www.amazon.com/N-NETDOT-Bathroom-Garbage-Kitchen/dp/B0BXL9K4PG/ref=sr_1_9?crid=2OIDMXLYTAF8I&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.SQQgyZZCYcRzHuydA1phP0yJOylCbitHv9uAt-SJL2jzyDSMZYHaxKSPcgn5CIFsAb22oRaOr34pB37Iu-SiiRonKRiSe9e1NaJontye9Ailgx1CnubymQ3QuzX6pg66lBkarz7YLnNPn_TQ5JzlAt5cUeqgWHVqHngaHzIP7dsDnCMpVA5x0dgFg3AO6avb5xE653T_z4fhAq6GwNE3Dc_ZKb8mo038VNeA3owsd-I_ZB4f20zyO64Fl61bs7nQowRqdIDkxL3UGz52ZNUQN8sTw9msOaDlOkG6pJyngjc.GRgy-eJ-XCe8ylb1AUexcDEWaK7hnJj8OH748Lukcpc&dib_tag=se&keywords=2.6+gallon+trash+can&qid=1719325718&s=home-garden&sprefix=2.6+gallon+trash+can%2Cgarden%2C88&sr=1-9There are quite a few, you can nose around on amazon. I like the simple human cans although I have a knock off from Costco that I have no complaints about. There are some smaller cans that are maybe 1.6 gallons, I really don't like those they are too small. Cheesy - I am sorry about your fur baby. I still have to read back and catch up. Don't know if Andi is a new homeowner or not yet! It rained here last night/this am. It stopped about 7:15 so I walked the dogs/got a late start to work, then one of my Dogs liberated himself so he could come to work with me. I had to open the car door and get him in the car before he decided to roam the neighborhood. It worked, so I returned him to the house so DH could take him to his Grandparents for Doggie Daycare later. I was pretty depressed yesterday, have a lot going on at work, plan to visit the Memory Care place DB wants to send mom to tomorrow am, and came home to DH having moved the new TV he bought himself to DD's bedroom as she is home for a few days and had taken her TV to her new apartment in MI. So, he moved the new TV to her room, the old one was still there, he just had the new one sitting on the coffee table and the old one was on the TV stand. He bought a new TV b/c he did not think the old one was working right. Well he reset the TV so he needed the PW for the Samsung acct. Well, my Pw book tends to be cryptic, and it was a user id pointing to DH's e-mail, I only had PW for a different account, so IDK if it is the same account as the other items are on or not. He ended up resetting the PW which I did not want to do. I think we have 6 Samsung TV's in the house and a Smart Things Hub. Hopefully I am not in for a round of inputting new PW's in each device. I still feel depressed, think it will be this way for a bit. Hopefully when the rain ends my depression will go with it.
