I found a couple of lumps on Jackson. I'm sure it's lipomas like Macy has, but he's going to the vet. These dogs are getting expensive as they get older. However I'd rather the vet tell me that it's nothing than it be something and go unchecked. When these guys are gone, it's gonna be a minute before I have dogs again.

Currently watching the breakfast club on Netflix. Have I seen it eleventy billion times? Yes. Did I turn it on when I found it on Netflix? Also yes.

well, folks W HAVE BOUGHT the house, got it for $295,000. I worried about being able to resell it, but the realtor said that is a very desirable community, I can see why, and we wouldn't have a problem. But lot of money. Hubs has mixed feelings, he doesn't like the weather here, but I don't know what to say. But he agrees we have to do something for DD, and we are to old to keep maintaining property and things, so its kind of what we need to do. I sure don't want to live out in the country but not crazy about living this close to people either. As son said, well if you hate it too much, sell it later and move. He did say all we do with the 4 acres is work on it. Work mowing, work on landscaping and more work and don't do anything else with it. Congratulations!

Well, my new deck isn't the greatest sunny afternoon hangout, but it sure is nice at night! Just have to be careful because no lights or railings yet.

Oh that is so nice. Had you ever had a deck there before? The one at the house we bought, has no railings or anything either. Going to if hubs will change that.
I want 2 things done there for sure. A heat pump added so we have AC, and quartz countertops in the kitchen. It's too nice for just the old ones on the cabinets. I'm getting excited. But we are going to have to really pinch the dollars till we sell the 2 houses likely pretty quickly, but we expect our house to take awhile. But putting that money back will make me feel more secure. Yes, I really worry about money. You will when you no longer work. But getting rid of 2 of them will really reduce our expenses.
We have so much to do, time will fly.

Andi9899, that is a cute place, bright and all, I like that.
It's hard to decide, ask me how I know. But when you find the right one, it will just grab you.

Good morning, invisible denizens of Y Ma'am, improving and acquiring properties and socializing. Welcome to Saturday in the park, I think it was the fourth of July. I hope your day is wonderful fun and that no one pees on your pancakes. And that there are pee-free pancakes, maybe blueberry, to devour with delight. It's not raining right now, but it did rain last night for a while. Guess I don't need to water the caladium. One has sprouted, just a tip, but the others will be coming along. I hope they're up well before the lilies completely pass on. Spent a couple of hours yesterday in Providence, just a short hop from here, waiting for DD to finish an FMRI she was taking for a clinical study on the effects of an app on anxiety. She's getting paid, I think $500 or $750 in total. They gave her a Garmin watch to monitor her activity and vitals for a couple of months. She's to use a coloring app daily. THen she'll have one more FMRI to see if her brain responds differently to recall of anxiety-provoking memories. Interesting study run in Brown University. Not sure yet but I think maybe my med change is having some desired effect. Should be evident today. Maybe tomorrow. The dawn yesterday was nice but not especially interesting. A bright circle pops up on the horizon. I got this shot of water breaking on the rocks instead, in the pre-dawn light:

Up because Gwen has dance team practice.. who the fuck decided this was an excellent time for practice?!
We saw Inside Out 2 last night. I liked it better than the first one. It hit a tad close to home. I told DH so that's what my anxiety looks like a weird little orange muppet.

Slept well but had weird dreams (why was I stringing thousands of wooden beads on twine?). I'm headed to the farmers market after breakfast, laundry this afternoon. We're forecast for flooding rains Monday-Wednesday, so I'll hit the grocery store tomorrow.

I need to find an audiobook that will keep my attention. I have a lot of weeding and other equally exciting things to do today.

We're taking dad out for lunch today for father's day so all my girls can go. T1 would have had to fly solo otherwise. This way both can hang with my dad today and the GF's dad tomorrow.

Pot of chili is now simmering. It’s a pain in the butt to make as I don’t use ground meat in it, but meat I need to chop myself. Mincing up about 3 lbs of meat takes time, and a sharp knife! Started looking at places to stay in Ireland and it’s not looking good. Getting a hotel room in Dublin is going to be pushing $400/night. At least we won’t need to pick up the car until we leave Dublin for Waterford. ooh, Waterford! how long are you in town? my info is ~20yo but I worked there on and off for a couple years. please definitely take all of the pics there, and post them! The wedding is at Waterford Castle. We will be staying on the grounds 3 days. My niece found she can rent the entire castle, catering and wedding for 3 days cheaper than her facility alone will cost in Minneapolis. We are going to tour Ireland, then go to France and are taking a Bordeaux River cruise.

I like this one the best of what you have posted so far. My only concerns would be to place a railing on the stairs leading up from the driveway, and checking the deck boards for rotting. Some boards don’t look so good.

For that one, andi9899, you'd need to fence in the back yard, plus the galley style kitchen will be too small for you. I had one for 18 years and I know!

I just can’t eat chili. Like it, it just doesn’t like me. I woke up with horrible heartburn. TD really likes my chili though.

Some boards don’t look so good. I'm going to drive by it. It is in a pretty nice area. It would be a quiet neighborhood which would be nice. My insurance would be cheaper in that area too.

It's crunch time. Mom's arriving tomorrow and I have a ton to clean and organize.
I always feel like a teenager the day before she arrives, trying to get everything together for her.
I'm stressed just looking around me. To make matters worse I got an invitation for dinner at a cool restaurant from one of my friends from the Meetup group I organize. I said yes. What was I thinking?
I don't want to turn her down now. This woman lost a son last year, had back surgery a few months ago and she's in a lot of pain. She's disabled and doesn't work anymore. I know she's lonely and looking forward to dinner today.
The friends who take me to the airport to pick up mom like to be really early. So I have to be at their place tomorrow at 8 am, though we could leave at 9 and still be early. So no time tomorrow to do much before leaving to.pick her up.
Aaaargh! I'm so stressed right now. Lol

[ All the houses you posted look great to me. It also.looks like there's plenty of inventory to choose from. Where I live, houses like those would cost double. And you would be hard pressed to find one that isn't contingent or pending. Even my little humble condo has doubled in price from when I bought it.

I'm starting to think I should move to Kansas City. I like that house. Not like Mass holds a lot for me. I have been feeling like I need to do something but I don't know what. Inertia has a mighty strong hold on me. KC, Burlington, VT, anywhere but here. Today, though, I'm blowing up the pool. We are getting foster kittens in this afternoon and that is all my plans. The fosters will pick them up at my house and that will take a total of 45 minutes. Woo, the excitement.

I'm parked on the deck with my laptop and streaming SVU episodes on my phone. my friend is still asleep, I don't understand how. he rolled in around 1 or so. I'm trying to keep the dogs outside so it's quiet, but I have shit to do in the house. but wait, pup food prep is one of those things, and I need him to bring me to the store first. I may need to start making some noise soon.

it's cute, but I'd be wanting to knock down some walls to open it up more. the bedrooms look to be on the smaller side, also. and, what Mich said about the deck.

And also, why is it that we feel compelled to deep clean before we go on vacation?
I've purged another two grocery bags of clothes, and will have a nice car full for dropping off at the thrift store.
We don't even buy that much. Seriously. We can't afford to.

My 2024 bucket list concert series continues tonight. I'm seeing Stevie Nicks!!!!!!!!!!! Going with my mom and sister. I already know I'm going to cry more than I did seeing Neil Young and Crazy Horse last month. Next month's bucket list show is Pat Benatar. My mom last saw her when she was heavily pregnant with me.
