I spent $4200...for an old mower with a cracked hood. Every fiber of my being wanted to buy brand new and I was sooo close. Last year's model, 1.9% financing...so tempting. But, apparently I haven't lost my mind entirely this year. It's getting pretty close though. Are you buying it to replace the mower deck on your regular mower? If so good for you. Fingers crossed. Yes, a new deck would be $1800...and they don't even sell them complete for that year tractor anymore, you have to buy in parts and build it. $4200 was way more than I wanted to pay for this mower, but it came with a like new 44" snowblower attachment that they wouldn't separate that really drove the price up.
They also told me to bring my other mower down and leave it when I picked up the replacement and they'd look at it next week. If they could fix it for cheap, that would be great.

We don't have room in our house for me to set up a big screen. I have to wait for kids to leave for that. LOL.

I couldn't work on just a laptop either. I have two 23" monitors and often doing things like building a presentation on one with spreadsheets from the other. Same.

Manager drove me batty with "right now" requests yesterday. I think he realized it because he notified me last night that he forgot to tell us that "summer hours" started May 31st, so knockoff is at 1PM on Fridays until Labor Day. I had taken PTO Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons for doctor appointments, but he said since he did not tell us that the summer hours had started he said I could save that PTO - which is appreciated.

ah, gotta love the mornings when you hear the Teams ping noise before you even get out of bed. I knew exactly who it was going to be, and I wasn't disappointed. today's a good day to not be in person, b/c I'd be fired for some of the things I've already said out loud here at home. I managed to not type those things back in response, but when I'm pointing out in a group chat that this pushy woman is CC'd on all of the document approvals that she's asking me about, you know I'm over her crap this early in the morning.
TGIF, kids!

Actually, I'm quite fearful in general if I say something other than "Yes!" that isn't 100% "everything is awesome."

I will set them on fire before I do a damned thing to support groups that prey on vulnerable pregnant people and pressure them to remain pregnant at any cost, when it is frequently directly counter to the pregnant person’s best interests. Bye Felicia. Thank you for refusing to give things to those people. I won't either. There are several here and they are always fundraising to build buy more homes so they can "serve" more girls. They only serve themselves. I'm right there with you. I don't understand this mindset. Why do women have to have the government or religion have any say over their body? The world would be a much better place if people would just mind their own damn business. That will never happen, but it would be nice.

I'm currently on a call for this project now, and I'm definitely on mute for it. although earlier this week, I left the line open and had to walk out back to peel LD off the fence. that wasn't quiet, either.

As I look worse with my nose crusting over, I decided I need a mental health day. I'm going to chill and do whatever today.
I can't with my clueless sister.
She sent a text last night asking if the next round of chemo will hurt as much as the first one. Why won't it? I will still be putting poison on my nose twice a day that is to kill bad cells. Yes, it's going to make a wound and get sore again.

On another note, did anyone else watch the latest release of Bridgerton? I was really disappointed on behalf of the female character with the sex scene…like dude, ever hear of foreplay? Although given the setting it’s probably historically accurate

Yes, it's going to make a wound and get sore again. I suppose that was her version of "helping" and providing "support" but she's so far out in left field, she might as well be playing a different sport. My sister just purchased (not adopted) a bulldog puppy because her current 1 yr old dog "has too much energy and needs a friend." Now all her texts and fb posts are about how much gas bulldogs have (um, even my 11 yr old knows that about the breed), how her pet food bill has doubled (shocking!), how much mischief two dogs can cause in a house, and how she's constantly walking one or the other because they don't have a fenced yard. I wanna shout buy a clue but I've refrained.

The money is being released from FIL's estate. DH and I are going to make a list of things we NEED to do and things we WANT to do and totally fantasy someday stuff. Right off the top is pay debts and liquid cash savings. Then I want to open a money market account with $2500 in it as a back up EF. I need new rotors for my car. We really need to re-side the damn house. Though I will say the flex tape that I used to "repair" the holes to get approved for our insurance has held up amazing. Maybe we should wrap the house entirely in flex tape instead. We need a new couch because ours fell apart. This has to be the worst couch ever made in the history of couch making. What a rip off. We tried to argue the warranty but they refused to honor it unless we returned the couch "in original condition". Dude we're trying to get you to replace it because it broke! I'd like a new mattress. A GOOD mattress not the cheap ones that we normally can afford. I want a Purple mattress so I can put egg cartons on it then jump around like the commercials. Maybe have the living room floor redone so it isn't so scratched up. It's really beautiful redwood floors and it drives me nuts it scratched so easily. I don't think the guy who did it sealed them properly. We want to go on a cruise with the kids as a once in a lifetime trip so they have that memory with us. A roth IRA will come for whatever is leftover which is going to be quite a bit. Back of the napkin math at the moment just in FIL's assets we stand to inherit close to $100k. That is not counting BIL buying DH out of his third of the house, a third of FIL's gun collection value and whatever else they decide to part with. This weekend they are taking apart FIL's safe and anything in it will be divided into 3rds. I hope at some point we find MIL's jewelry. I know it exists because she showed it to me when DH and I were dating. She had bags marked for each kid. I'd like to have something of MIL's both for myself and for the girls to wear someday.

We had an absolutely spectacular evening for SLAP last night. We sat at a cider mill that overlooked the harbor, with SUN! There has not been a lot of sun here recently and I definitely got a good dose of Vitamin D out of it. The place didn’t have a large menu, but everything on it was quite good, including the blackberry ginger cider I had. It was not sweet, which was good.
I have a bunch of crap I need to do online today which means I need to sit at a computer instead of my iPad. My car registration is due, and I need to see if any more appointments have opened up for me to renew my NEXUS card. It expires next month, but due to back ups, I’ve got a year extension on it. Right now, they have released appts for interviews through 9/30 and they are all booked. This is such a pain, but a very necessary pain.
Chili is on the menu for tonight. Love chili, hate the heartburn it gives me. I’ll eat a little and let TD finish it up.

I have a question about Supreme Court Members not disclosing trips given to them by so called friends that own businesses. If they call them gifts the value is not taxable? Did Halan Crow take a tax deduction for the "gift"?If Dd's employer lets her fly in an empty seat, she has to pay tax on the value of the "gifted seat". how is that any different? Why is it taxable to one person and not another?

That one really did have me rolling! Was that in the first half of the season? I don’t quite remember it but will happily go back and watch Yes, when Mrs. Fetherington was talking to her daughters trying to figure out why they weren't pregnant yet.
eta: How I would love to see the bloopers/outtakes from this scene. There is no way they pulled it off on the first try without cracking up!
