I logged in to work for a few minutes to finish up something I just couldn't bring myself to do last night. I'm about to close this laptop down, as I'm supposed to be off today. I should probably find a quick bite to eat before heading out to LD's vet visit, my coffee is already trying to tear a hole in my stomach.

Got our Nov light and heat bill $24, this panels sure weren't working right the first year, that is for sure. They only generated about 600 kwh's that month and we used 400 banked hours. This month I expect to use the rest of the banked about 600 plus what will be generated, but we will start owing this month or the next. So we will owe for Jan, Feb, March for sure, but still a huge savings. That helps us cover the drug costs. But not Jan, that one is going to be very expensive since we will both owe deductibles, ouchie.
I'm taking about 3 nice, coordinated outfits with me. I like the matching jeans and sweaters from Pennys. Wish they had more colors of jeans though. I have a gold set and wine colored ones. Have jeans coming called autumn blaze, hoping to find some coordinated sweater.

Have you considered that it may be bronchitis? When I had whooping cough I initially thought my cold had settled into bronchitis. After a week of no improvement and those god-awful coughing fits I finally went to the doctor. If she's been dealing with this and no improvement then it's time to see a doctor. There's nothing much you can do about bronchitis aside from basic home care you'd do for any cough and cold, but if it were to actually be whooping cough then she needs an antibiotic. They can also do a swab to confirm. That's the only reason I'd say go to the doctor, as someone who does not go running to the doctor for every illness. Key words. I've only had bronchitis once in my life back in 70's and this is what it sounded like based on my experience. So only reason I suggested a second Dr. Google opinion.

Been getting some weird vibes from manager for a couple of weeks and just got a strange Teams message from him. I feel like he is about to jump ship. That sucks because I like him.

Finally up and eating after my colonoscopy. Good news - had only 10 polyps removed instead of 15 like last time. Waiting for biopsy results, but doctor. So have to go back in 2 years if there is no bad news. Not sure if they gave me a different anesthesia - but I was loopy after they released me and about to fall when I walked out. They let you walk out ALONE? We can't get a colonoscopy if we're not accompanied. Here we go to the car in a wheelchair. They do that after all procedures but I'm usually still loopy

I really don't want to go to the doctor. Especially not a new one. But I'll be house sitting for DD2s family for 10 days, starting Friday. I don't want to cover their house in germs, then have my two littles come home and get this. Esp not right at Christmas. It truly is miserable. And they tend to not give toddlers medication for coughing. I finally looked online for whooping cough and I agree. It sounds just like what I have. Sigh... cough, cough, cough some more! Have you considered that it may be bronchitis? I'll find out today. I have an appt at 2pm.

Thanks! It's surprising how much it takes out of me, to cough so much, so hard, all day, every day. It is a very exhausting ordeal; I certainly never want to get it again. Go see the new doctor and deal with all the annoying intake questions. I have an appt this afternoon. Thanks for your help.

One of the trucking companies I deal with just closed up shop and didn't tell anyone. This is going to be a shit show. It's not like it's my first rodeo, so at least I know what to do.

I'm trying to decide if I should take vitamin D supplements. My new PCP prescribed them for me. I've read somewhere that mostly people don't need them; that they are over promoted. I guess there's no real downside. I just hate to add yet another pill to my repertoire. Wonder if it would help my brittle nails that break all the time. I think probably not.
Vitamin D promotes heart health. My cardiologist prescribed 10,000 IU once a week. One small pill.

So, my new phone came yesterday. When DH ordered it, We were at home and I was telling him while he was on the phone that I wanted the 512 G version. He kept shushing me and insisted that the 256 was enough. Now they tell me it will be a $70 restocking fee even though I have not opened the box. DH says well they did not tell me that. I told him "This would not be an issue if you had listend to me". IDK what to do now. I will have to run it back to the store and have a new one shipped to me. I am too busy for this BS. It is all DH's fault. If their secruity wasn't so tight I could have done it myself but I needed a code from him to get into the account and he picked up his phone and just ordered what he though I should have. GRR. I am just pissed at him. On the one hand, I am thankful he is willing to get me what I want, but he could have just listend to me to begin with. Now I have extra hassle to deal with and it is cosing us $$.
I have so much work to do, I just don't have time to mess around. And my DS's rental property has a plumbing issue. DH needs to get over there and try to snake the drain, but he is so busy he probably won't get to it. They wrecked a $400 snake last night trying to clear the blockage. He said he was going to go rent a more expensive one at HD. I told him he better call a plumber right away...he left me on hold over 10 minutes this am just b/c he is too busy. He probably won't get over there until later tonight.

I’ll take khakis, jeans and black slacks, and every top I also bring goes with all colors of bottoms. The colors on the bottom are neutral enough that as long as you change out the top, it looks like you are wearing something different, even when you are not.

Everything is frosty this morning, but the skies are mostly clear. The frost is heavy though that it’s likely a slipping hazard on the road where we are.
TD did not get the quote for medical insurance he wanted last night. This package MUST be FedEx’ed by Fri. When we do the accounting for this, needing to expedite is going to cause the price of our visas to increase by 50%. I told him this.
I need to run a few errands this morning, but other than that and laundry don’t have anything planned. Need to figure out what to do with the huge bag of potatoes that we have sitting on the counter. We have a neighbor that volunteers at the food bank. Any produce that’s left, they give to employees to avoid needing to throw it away. We have been the recipient of bananas, onions, squash and now potatoes. She gets these huge 50 lb bags and distributes to the neighborhood. of the 6 people she regularly gives to, 3 are single person households and one couple, 2 with 3. I’m thinking this weekend, I’ll do roast beast and make a big enough batch of mashed potatoes so I can make Shepard pie with the leftovers.

That would be a good place to leave food pantry leftovers so those in need can pick up during hours the food pantry isn’t open. See freedge.org/locations/ to check. Not sure where you live but there is one in Bellingham.

I used to be able to sign myself out against medical advice and go shopping afterwards, since I was downntown. Not any more.

Not sure where you live but there is one in Bellingham. Don’t know. All I do know is that this pantry works out of a temporary building about once/mo. Grocers provide pallets of produce, and when there are no more people, the food has to go somewhere. I do know it’s a storage concern, and imagine if it could be used, it would be used. My sister ran into the same thing when she volunteered for Second Harvest when she lived in MN.

I'm all packed for my trip to see my parents tomorrow. I have to check my suitcase this trip - can't be helped. Glad I have a direct flight.
I'm really not feeling work today. And my boss is off-site, so it's extra quiet. Fingers crossed nothing gets added to my calendar this afternoon so I can just coast through the last few hours.

I wore the booties pretty much all of yesterday and they were quite comfortable. This is good to know because I have decided if I see them on sale again this cheap, I’m not getting the booties in another color, but the shoes.
I used to wear Merrill Mocs all the time, but they tend to be heavy. These are a dressier version of those.

DS is 60 and needs to schedule a colonoscopy. If she does it while here, she doesn’t need to worry about a ride.

Maybe you should confiscate his new phone, until yours arrives. Oh, he didn't get one. Oops! Good luck. I hope no one uses that drain, until it's fixed!

I’ve dodged having to get a colonoscopy so far, but when the time comes I’m toying with the idea of doing it without anesthesia so I can drive myself home. No anesthesia for that procedure seems to be more common in non-US countries. Living alone I would have to get a friend to take me otherwise, and they all commute to a larger town every workday so would have to take time off work, which isn’t feasible. The other possible option is hiring a medical transport company or nurses aide to help me. It’s just maddening to try to navigate this crap when you live alone and don’t want to impose on others.

My dad had his last colonoscopy done without anesthesia…..because they couldn’t sedate him. He said he will NEVER do that again. This was a man who refused to take pain meds after bypass surgery. I got a coworker to help me for my first one. I got him a very nice gift card to his favorite restaurant to thank him. BTW….I have taken time off from work to help a friend like this.

Not sure if you could Uber it. No public transportation of any kind is allowed here. They spell out no taxis, Uber, Lyft, bus, etc. They will release you if you pay for the local ambulance service to take you home. I did pay that once after I had been in the hospital for probably 4 days. I was told I could go home and nobody could come until 6 PM. I did not want to sit in the lobby that long.
