I told my DH all I want for Christmas is to have the garage cleaned out so we can park 2 cars in it, and 2 working garage door openers. I think he will do it, We will park the spare car that DH drives a lot in the garage then along with my car. I might ask DS for the same thing so he can help DH get rid of the crap in there we need to get rid of. There has been a desk in there for DH's office for about 3 years. DH needed to clean out "his" office and the desk he has and move the new one over there. He has extra offices, so he uses the other offices and never cleans the back office up. He has 3 weeks.

I was looking at the women's schedule trying to double dip with a men's game since we have season tickets. The women play at 10:30am Friday. It's labeled as education day so I guess they are bringing school kids to the game. I always buy Turbo Tax with the gift card. Guess I somehow missed it. I think on Friday it was just $45 no gift card. Historically they’ve offered it for a few days post-Christmas with the gift card, which is when I usually buy it. I bought early this year because I wanted to model taxes due and make up the shortfall-but most of the forms I need to do that won’t be available till Jan  Really Turbotax, how much tweaking can the interest and dividend forms possibly need? |

daisylu - which Oofos did you get? mine were delivered yesterday, and I need to send them back. I love my slides, even though they are too big b/c those don't come in half sizes. but the clogs (OOcoozie sport mules) I just got did come in half sizes, so I gave them a try. the clogs themselves were way too loose and I'd walk right out of them. I ordered my regular size (8.5) and they fit great. |

Just set up a tow for my car. I've been looking at cars and there's not a lot out there that I like. I did see one CRV, but it was pending purchase. I'm going to see if I can borrow one of my dad's cars for a few days.

I have some cash coming my way from various sources. Not a ton, a few thousand dollars. I had hoped to use it to jumpstart rebuilding my EF from using a ton of it to buy the house. Looks like I get to use it to buy a car instead. I don't even see one I like as much!

He may have been speaking in Russian.  He expected catnip when the conversation was over and got it. He was a character. My parents and aunt and uncle came to visit. We were playing a cards at the kitchen table. He sat himself on a chair and started batting cards around. At least my aunt and uncle laughed. Said they had never seen a cat like that. They were farmers and no indoor cats. The way he inserted himself into whatever was happening when I had company, he thought he was human and an equal participant. Sushi has to be in the thick of things when plumbers or electricians come by. "Hey! Whatchoo doing? Can I see?" However, when a tech from the phone company came over, Sushi tool one look at him and took off, to hide in the closet. Only came out two hours after he left. Cats know things. |

I ordered a few Lands End clothing items on sale for me. I would love to wear the pants but may wrap them for Xmas. It's stuff I really like. the pants are very comfortable. Stretchy but not too tight and look good.

We are going to Burlington coat outlet and see if we can find son a coat of some type. Bought him one over 5 or 6 years ago and he is still wearing that thing.
I love xmas and everybody likes opening a present whether they admit it or not.

Wonderful. They're having potlucks every Wednesday at work until Christmas. Normally I would be all excited...but...trying to stay on track and I'll overindulge FOR SURE. Think I'm just going to not bring anything and suffer through all the wonderful smells tomorrow.

Weber is doing $50 off a griddle insert for our grill up to December 24 so I may order one next week. DH sort of wants to try one out to see if he likes it and that makes the cost of a test drive more palatable

over the weekend I reached out to the HR rep that answered most of my other questions, and she came through this morning with a customer service number to call the 3rd party that runs that program. apparently I can still place orders through them over the phone/email even though I can't log in anymore as it's linked to my work email. the agent I spoke with found what she thinks I was describing, and is sending me a form to fill out so she can place the order for me. that works! Tell her to throw in a new car for me. |

I checked my order history the $45 plus $10 gift card was placed on 12/27/23. I checked today and it's back up to $55. I was just confused on the timing.
We give lots of gift cards. The teenage nieces and nephews all love them. We do buy for the places they want and will use. I need to get moving on finishing up the physical gifts. Shipping estimates even from Amazon are scaring me and it's only the beginning of Dec.

A pal texted me to check out a mutual friend's FB page. I asked why and she said the woman was feeling "foorly" and I asked if she meant "poorly." She said no, our friend was playing fake poor (foorly), talking about being short of $$ while talking about all the goodies she bought |

The players just said at the press conference the high pitched screams of the kids made it so they couldn't hear the point guard. |

Looked at my Amazon account for First Reads and noticed the arrival date for the Christmas present I bought from there has changed from later this week to January 14. That is not going to work. Canceled that. Found the same thing at Walmart and it will be delivered tomorrow.

We went to the staff holiday party at our taqueria. It was so amazing with all the families there and the food was truly incredible. While the guys charcoal grilled beef fajitas, ribs and sausage, everyone had this fantastic hot punch with every kind of fresh fruit imaginable. It was sweetened with sugar cane. With the meats we had potato salad and the most mind-boggling refried beans I've ever eaten, tortillas, and awesome salsas. Then they served big bowls of pozole verde with all the fixings. We left before dessert which I know was a rice pudding with fruit and cream. And the music rocked!
I'm going to fall asleep watching CMA Country Christmas.
