So I ordered 4 meals from the fresh food place to pick up next week. Then they will be closed until the first of the year. The people that run it are from Poland and they are going home for Christmas.

Another exciting day - shower, grocery shopping, doctor appointment. I'll visit the vampire Friday and we'll see how my lipids are doing. He's also testing for muscle enzymes to see if I have any damage. Then he will probably switch me to simvastatin which he says is the original statin and, ironically, the one with the fewest side effects. But it interacts with my amlodipine so we'll have to find another drug for my blood pressure. And I need a TDAP booster. When it rains, it pours.

Grrr. TIAA is set to SLID with FIFO as secondary. I transferred 1100 shares to Fidelity prior to moving them to a Fidelity based donor advised fund…instead of doing FIFO they appear to have taken a constant fraction from every d*** tax lot, of which there are a crapload. I think I give up TIAA is such a pain. The good news is that I already sold all the shares that were showing even a slight loss back at the market dip, so it will still avoid capital gains just not as efficiently as I’d wanted.

Apparently TD got an answer from his insurance guy he'd prefer to get insurance from. Packet will go out tomorrow. $180 to expedite the service because I couldn't get it out before Thanksgiving.

We went to the grocer and places, me to Pennys. I was going to look through clothing for 1 more jeans and a top, but there was one register open and probably 10 lined up. So I wondered through jewelry, I know their stuff isn't that great, as hubs said if you are going to get good jewelry go to a store for that. But I saw a pretty pair of pearl earrings. They were on clearance and 60% off that price. They are freshwater pearls and white topaz, not diamonds around them but still very pretty. Had been over $400 and I got them for $90, so a nice Xmas gift for me. I asked the guy there if he could check out clothing, he said no just jewelry, I said well looks like ordering online again, unbelievable. I wanted a pair of leather gloves from Lands End, but it was so busy never could get through, would have been 70% off, but I gave up. I am ordering an electric blanket for DD to leave in Washington, she will love that as she is always so cold, may get me one for up there too as not sure how warm that place will be. I already ordered an insulated curtain for the patio door, need to get a rod for it.
Going to do my hair again, going to give it a hot oil treatment and see how that does. Than dinner for hubs, DD and I have nibbled all afternoon.

I logged in to work for a few minutes to finish up something I just couldn't bring myself to do last night. I'm about to close this laptop down, as I'm supposed to be off today. I should probably find a quick bite to eat before heading out to LD's vet visit, my coffee is already trying to tear a hole in my stomach. Good luck to LD. thanks. it was a bit of a roller coaster ride, for sure. first, we sat in the exam room for a half hour before I went out to ask for a bowl of water for the pups. come to find out, an emergency case came in right after we did - a pup had gotten into some mouse poison and all hands were on deck to check on that one. absolutely no prob, I appreciated getting right in when Punk had her cardboard adventure this past spring. the room we were in was just overheated and the pups needed some water. I was told they were successful in getting the emergency case pup to vomit, here's hoping it pulls through okay. as far as LD, the surgeon had made an offhand comment about slightly enlarged lymph nodes when he called to consult about the follow-up visit after knee surgery about a month ago. he said it wasn't alarming, but something to keep an eye on, and maybe indicative of a minor dental issue. well, LD's breath has always been , but it's reached another circle of hell in the last couple weeks and he's been drooling a lot more than normal. I asked about it when I picked up their Heartgard recently - should we look at this a little closer? vet palpated pretty much all of him, and looked at me all serious and says "I don't love this...." and mentions a few things it could be, including lymphoma. apparently, whatever it is isn't isolated to a single node or side of the body, it's fairly evenly enlarged....if somewhat mildly. so they aspirated a neck and a knee (I didn't realize that was a thing...?) node each, and looked at the slides. nothing looked abnormal, and the vet looked a lot calmer for the secondary chat. we came home with an antibiotic and a probiotic, that if this is a minor dental issue, should clear up the heinous breath in a few days. if it doesn't, we'll poke around more at that point. I was freaking out to hear the L word, but to see Dr H much calmer after looking at the slides, I calmed down a bunch as well. so all that said, please keep your fingers crossed that these meds do the trick. b/c I'm not ready for the big C with either of my two, who are both breeds that are known for it.

Does LD need a tooth cleaning? While antibiotics can help some, the teeth really need to be cleaned in order to really clean out the bacteria. Harpo was on the yearly plan when get got older, and lost quite a few teeth along the way. Harriet's 11 and she's been twice so far. We've been taking her when her breath gets bad.

I'm busy figuring out what I can purge from my basement before a bunch of workmen take over. Some charity is going to be thrilled, I imagine...

Sushi's breath was beyond horrific a while ago, then cleared up on its own. Probably lost a rotten tooth. He's very, very old, so can't go under general anaesthesia for dental work. Cats tend to be.....uncooperative.

Dr and I were both wondering if one of those huge back molars was cracked under the gum line or something that we can't see rn. the thought with the antibiotics is to see if it clears up (that's good, that means it's not the big C just yet) and then if it were to come back, then that kind of says yes, this is definitely dental and we sedate him for further poking. he doesn't look like he's in pain, and his CBC came up normal.

alright, what else do I need from Amazon that will spare me a trip to Walmart in December? lol... I've got a shopping cart with a few things in it already. I just hate to place an order and then remember I needed something else. so then I don't order it right away, and I forget a few days later. rinse and repeat.

Just felt a little lopsided.🙂 Let's not forgetting I'm a lot heavier and I gained a bit more in the last year, sadly enough. I sit on that thinh again and it will burst this time.

They found a small cyst on a kidney so getting a scan in 3 months to make sure that is what it is. They also think his PSA will go to 0 still so it's looking good for him. I sure hope so. They are doing a genetic test on the tumor, if I understand correctly to see if it could reoccur. Not sure I have that right. As the wife of a prostate cancer survivor, I can only reiterate that yes, it takes time to heal and all functions do improve over time as the NP told you. And, as I told you before, there are so many great products out there to address all the issues. You and your husband are benefitting from the great technological advances since my husband's 2002 diagnosis. I'm so glad you can access the genetic testing and I look forward to saying "YAHOO" when he gets a zero PSA next year.

Gift bags (although I like how inexpensive they are at Dollar Tree)? 1 - I'm well stocked from HD, bc I keep buying when I forget that I already have two big boxes in the basement. 2 - same, Penzeys 3 - Christmas Tree Shops (I'm a Make-a-Wish volunteer, always needing gift wrapping options....) I actually left the cart hanging out. the one thing I needed that was time-limited wouldn't have gotten here til after I needed it anyway....December 9th, really? it's not even December yet. whatever. so, I'll just add to the cart as I remember things. the one thing I did remember that pissed me off, is that I wanted to add a few more 1qt Corelle serving bowls to my cabinet as I've been using them more for salads, soup cans, whatever I don't want splashing over a plate like linguine. I found a 4pk of these bowls for $40 on Amazon. I do not remember paying $10/ea for the ones I already have, but I could be wrong...? the Corelle I do have was all bought at the outlet, so that and time may skew my memories there haha...

I still can't pay my mortgage because the website is still down, after a week. So then I try to place a grocery order, and their site goes down when I'm halfway through. Guess I'll go do something low tech, like make dinner.

Got my new driver's license taken care of today. I forgot it had expired.
Dc bday is tomorrow. They've gotten most of their gifts already but they requested a seafood broil with everyone invited so it will be a fun evening. Friend Party is on Saturday. Definitely spent too much on everything but I'm trying to make myself feel better about it by counting all of the at home movie night parties they've had in the last few years.

I ordered DD an electric blanket and had it shipped to Wa, will wrap it up there. I have big rolls of wrapping paper here, hate to have to buy more up there. I am wracking my brain trying to figure out more things to buy her. I will come up with a few more items just need to look around up thre.
Washed my hair again and put an oil treatment on it. It came out so much nicer, soft and set nicely. I guess it was just dry, may have to do this a few times.
Printed out the last current bank statement will do this tomorrow. Watching telly tonight. We are cancelling Dish tomorrow as we don't watch it anymore so $45 a month less wasted.

Are there some weird things going on in the sky? My boss acted really weird the last hour and its freaking me out. She said the asst mgr was OK, obviously not true, as she had sent her home and thinks she won't be in tomorrow maybe because of bad flu or something caught from flying. But my drawer was tossed and things were in it that must have been from the assistant managers drawer or something.
I hope its the merger stuff and maybe weird moon transits that are making everyone insane. I have to move the dead car to my parking spot tomorrow because end of November. The town it is in is undergoing extensive and crazy construction so not sure how easy it would be to see it prior to its move or get in and out.

Got my new driver's license taken care of today. I forgot it had expired. My son's expired in July. He's apparently not concerned enough to do anything about it, but was worried enough to grab his passport when he was home because he's flying tomorrow. I'm not sure if they would care it was expired or not.

Please pray for miracles to happen so I can get a ride to and from a in person's doctors appointment so I can be treated for bronchitis or whatever this wants to be. Somehow a miracle happened last time, so another one would be good. Giving up some lunch hour time, hope it will be enough.

Chiver, You mentioned a Corelli outlet store so I looked on google maps. It appears that all of the Corningware, Corelle & more stores have permanently closed. Darn! I wanted more plates.
