Sent mom a link to a Justin Tucker bobblehead on her phone. She tried to search on a desktop and could not locate. Told me to order and she'll pay me back. I did. Also scored a Brady Anderson bobblehead on my dime. Merry Christmas to me!

I already got little guy a bunch of Star Wars Characters at Ollies and ordered him some fleece shirts for him that are warm, his mom said he outgrew his last ones. They give his outgrown clothes to a friend of son's for his grandson they are raising. She takes good care of their clothing so I'm sure it's in good condition.
I also got his some Lands End jammies. I get that stuff on sale. When I left up there I bought him a McD's gift card and a Subway card, may do that again.
He has been to the Science deal and I have taken him to that childrens museum, he loves it.
I'm thinking of Starbucks for his mom and maybe McD's for his dad for his coffee. I don't know.

We always loved the yearly zoo and museum memberships from grandparents.
Mil takes dc shopping and to lunch for their bday. It's become tradition. I was really worried about it the first year and had to set ground rules so that it wasn't for clothes- mil is toxic when it comes to body image. But with boundaries it's one of dc favorite activities all year. It's not even about the money, but the tradition.

Couldn't sleep so I took dh's phone to finish getting his photos from 2021. Now I'm debating just straight splitting our 2021 album into 2 books. Also grabbed a couple of his pictures of us from 2023 to do Christmas cards. Get those ordered today, take gift inventory, and try to get finished up. For the albums do you print photos? I love that we have pics on phone and computer but always thinking they will disappear from site and program changes over the years. I love that we have photos from early 1900s and can look at them. I print photo books from snapfish.com. I think all the sites are pretty similar when it comes to designing them. Easier than real scrapbooking and definitely easier to use our album to make custom albums for my parents and the in-laws. I like having physical copies.

Just washed and polished the kitchen and dining room floors. Nice to see them clean after a weekend of cooking spills.

We had a great Thanksgiving! I do need to call and talk to my dad. He had a definite decrease in appetite that I want to ask him about. Want isn’t the correct word but will talk to him about. We leftovers for dinner for the past few nights and probably will again tonight too. Right now, DH is getting lights for our Christmas tree (most of the prior ones didn’t work) while DD1 and I are getting the artificial tree ready. DD2 is taking a nap! Edited: My dad is a 27 year colon cancer survivor, but also had bladder cancer and kidney cancer in the past 2 years too. He’s also diabetic too.

Laundry.
And I brought in the scarecrow and out the wreath, which I set up with new batteries. It works.
I don't know why I feel so dopey and sleepy. (Not sneezy, grumpy - well, maybe a little, bashful, happy, or doc.) I don't want to take a nap but feel like I might fall asleep right here on the sofa.

I need to get moving on cleaning up the living room. I've done some shopping online and load 3 of laundry is in. I sorted the coats because DH is complaining about not having any. Now if he'd put up the coat hanger shelf I bought over a year ago it would be a Christmas miracle.

Just finished cleaning the kitchen up from the eggs Benedict I made for breakfast this morning. My sister is taking her daughter to Seattle today to hit the Christmas market, then to the airport to catch the red eye back to MN. Other than the small pouting session about being able to go to the pot store, she was really pretty good.
She’s also fascinated by my knitting. If she gets back soon, there will likely be lessons in her future.

I mentioned to TD that he might want to look to see if he has a warm jacket that fits. Don’t think fleece will work this time, and it’s going to be a bit chillier in Jan than it was when we were there in June.

I'm finally sitting down for a little bit. watching the 4th quarter of a train wreck football game that I'm not sure who I'm actually rooting for. do I root for the Pats to lose, to better their draft spot next season? or root for the QB that came in at the half, to bolster the argument that the guy that Robert Kraft thinks is the next TB12 just.....isn't.....and needs to sit TF down for the rest of the season. ugh.
but this afternoon has otherwise been pretty productive. -4x64oz containers of shredded BSCB for pups, cooked in the IP. I'll freeze 3. -(?) oz container of white rice, for pups -~2lbs of broiled asparagus, chopped for pups -all bedding has been washed, spare bed has been remade. just waiting on the dryer for my stuff. -lasagna, fried eggplant and chicken have been repackaged from dishes that need to soak in soapy water -dishwasher will be started for the 2nd run today when I clean up from pup dinner. pots/pans are soaking rn.
now I'm about to log in to work and crank out a couple things I didn't feel like doing as Wednesday afternoon got later. lol...

I'm wallowing in a happy fat food coma after devouring a slice of probably the best veggie lasagna I have ever made. 🤤 I also stumbled onto My Cousin Vinny (CMT network, FYI..) and this will be my night. tomorrow is supposed to be 15-20deg warmer, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm not at all ready for winter yet. I could use some suggestions. I have lentil pasta noodles I bought on clearance from explore cuisine. Classic lasagna shape but short. Probably would use them in a 9 or 8 inch square pan instead of the traditional 13x9x2. I really don't like eggplant and haven't tried fake cheese that is riccotaish. Have used mozzarella non dairy cheese alternatives so I would have that covered. Any recipes you could post or suggestions? NO hurry but it would b good for me to clean out my pantry a little and use them up. (by year end or early new year) you probably wouldn't like a lot of my veggie recipes, I use a bunch of eggplant. I can write out what I did yesterday if you'd like, I don't really measure anything though. as far as non-dairy cheese - look for Kite Hill. it's an almond milk cheese that's available in a few formats, one being ricotta. I find it at Whole Foods. I'm not a fan of Daiya at all, Kite Hill is way better.

Ouch! I'm trying out Wall Pilates, and even 'tho I asked for a beginner class, this first session was rough on my back. I guess I need to do more stretching before I start tomorrow's class. It's not that the sessions are long, or anything, but I'm working muscles that haven't had much attention in a while.

Tested positive for Covid. Blaming it on my POS boss who came in to work sick, but it has been 12 days since I saw him in person so unlikely to be the source. DH is negative so far. Did telecom so I could start on antiviral. Only had DS and GF for Thanksgiving so let them know. So far only feels like a cold with aches.

Hanging out at tennis waiting for Carrot. We just got back into town in time for his 4pm practice. About 15 miles into our trip this morning the van dash lit up and it went into limp mode. 😠 The kids thought the timing was horrible, but it would have been a lot worse had it happened 100 miles later! So, we limped home and swapped for DS's car which set us back about an hour. I really hope this is not a spendy fix. I just stuck 2K in it a few weeks ago. 5 minutes after I filled the gas tank too!

DHs dad isn't doing too well after the last fall. Hospice care is being discussed as a possibility. Not sure he has much longer.
He gave up after MIL. Which I've said before isn't uncommon. It still sucks though he has a lot to live for.
Then his brother is getting divorced. That doesn't really surprise me I had a hunch based on the last time we were together. I was more surprised it took this long.
So this could be an interesting holiday season. I'm not going to put the cart too far ahead of the horse regarding FIL but I'm preparing myself.

I told Gwen she'd have less to open if I gave them to her now. She said it's fine. She just doesn't want like two lip glosses and one sock and that's it on Christmas. So guess what my smart ass is going to be putting in a gift bag under the tree? 🤣 I think you should do a version of what the J brothers did. The goal is to create a packaged gift that makes the recipent feel it is something else. No known maximum number of boxes. Style points if you actually don't put anything in the package at all. Then I would suggest one lip gloss and two socks, but maybe Andi has ideas on the lip glosses. There are women's socks for sale at Soul Trip in Somerville. I forgot the brand, but they had some pretty funny saying and are unfortunately gendered at least in what this particular store is stocked with. The mens socks look too long etc. and only one didn't have something funny like trophy husband or related. I don't go in their often because it acts as a suck on my wallet. Left this really cool stone carp (small) at the store knowing at my level of sick should it make it home with me I would probably lose it and might not find it for days/months/until I move out.

I'm grateful dsis came over today. I'm in a mood and was having a hard time not snapping at the kids. She's so good with them. It's a much better last day of break than being stuck with just me.

No surprise they are saying create white kids I think that is partly what the abortion stuff is about.
I am also giving my pretty calendars as gifts to some folks, I think the pics are so pretty.
I have got to remember to not eat a bunch of raw veggies before bed again like I did last night. Stomach doesn't tolerate that like it used to. I was miserable with gas, thank goodness I found my gas ex pills. Still it was a long time before it was all relieved.
