An FYI. Every household can order 4 more of the Covid tests from the government. I just did it. We can do it again? I still have the four from last time but may want to add to the stash with all the holidays and travelling coming up I still have my originals too. Are they any good? If you find a link, will you post it, please? I might need a direct line, to you. I enjoy your comments and insights. Mostly, I enjoy your sarcasm and wit! 😁 And your freezer could come in handy. Especially if andi9899 shows up too! 🤣🤣🤣 But I vote we get trashed, before we need bail money! You in?

I just heard from DD2. She said their plans on Thursday are to have dinner at her dad's at 5. She said she hopes to pick up the tv and drop it off, before dinner, at 5. But she can't guarantee anything, because she's planning to use her DH's muscle, to do it. So I guess, she has asked him to help. I told her, I'm happy to help, if I can (if she thinks she and I can do it.) That I don't want him to get hurt, or get upset about doing it, because I don't want them all to be miserable, on the holiday. I'm not in a rush and I can work around their schedule, for the most part. Just keep me informed. I asked about their plans for Friday, since that's the day, I normally go out and watch their girls. Did she want me to still come? Yes. Because they will probably be putting up/out their Christmas decorations that day. Okay, that's fine. I love my littles and don't want to do anything that will jeopaordize that. One of my other thoughts about this situation is, that my Son in law, wants me to do my part, by getting the old tv removed, to make it easier to drop off the flat screen TV. He doesn't want to be responsible or all of it. It's not his job. And he wants that to be clear. He's doing me a favor. DD2 and their children are his responsibility, not me. But like everything said previously, it's just speculation, on my part. Just going to have to wait and see. It probably doesn't help, that they're having dinner at her dad's, as they but heads often. He dad wasn't allowed in their home, or to see their children, for about 3-4 months after that. To prove a point, they could get along, without him, after her dad threatened to stop watching the kids, 2 days per week. That backfired big time on her dad. I don't want to go "there". It's not worth it, to me. Certainly not the hill I want to die on! EX2, thought he could bluff better, or old out longer. Nope! DD2 has stood up to her dad, for me, a few times, in recent months. That means a lot to me. It has never been done before. Her sun has always risen, on her dad. But now, she has heard the things he says to me, herself. Which have been totally inappropriate. At least that's one thing, in my favor. Thanks for all the support! ❤ T I would agree with removing the old one first if practical. I brought home the flatscreen in a box myself after getting it out of former coworker's car. BMW was alive and in better shape back then. How old are the littles?

I can't imagine being relieved to not have to ask my husband to do something so small for my mom. I can. I have learned not to ask. I did what you did, TMR. I gave mine to someone who wanted it for their kid. This was probably 15 years ago when DH wanted to get it off a high shelf that my ex-BF and his son had put it on and replace it with a flat screen. There was no way we could get it down. Those suckers were heavy. But a guy and his buddy did. I've given away a lot of sofas the same way.

Back from the grocery store, got everything on the list, plus some (as usual). I need to figure out what to make for dinner tonight. Tossed the turkey wings into the oven to roast off before the stock pot. Want to get that started today. Also got to pack up some jeans to send back to Talbots, wrong size. I’ll drop those off when I go pick up rd from work to get his car. My niece is flying in Wed. for Thanksgiving. I think we are going up for dim sum on Friday. Not sure what’s planned the rest of the time. If you are a cardholder you can get 50% off one item now, and 40% (I think) off everything else. If you are not a cardholder, then 50% off sale starts Friday. I returned something in store yesterday and the lady put the pair of pants I want to buy on hold for me until Friday.

My daughter said several years ago that she thought YD was sneaky. Over the last few years, it’s been proven that she is indeed, sneaky. She did something again last night that has both of her parents displeased with her. Now she is trying to get OD to come get her earlier than OD had planned, so she’ll be gone before their Dad gets home. Either way, she’s going to have to face one parent or the other later tonight. She has also started playing between them, telling Mister “my Momma knew”, but leaving out the part about her Momma being upset and telling her to call her Dad and tell him. And she told her Mom she did talk to her Dad, but what she really did was send Mister an innocent sounding text, leaving out the important information that her Mom wanted her to CALL and tell her Dad. As if it wasn’t likely they would talk to each other about what she did last night, and figure out how she played them. She is booksmart, but in other ways, she’s so smart that she’s dumb. And she just ran out of the door. So fast that she didn’t bother to tell her little brother (Kiddo) Bye, and he went and opened the door, to try to catch her and say Bye to her.

Hair colored, DD says its beautiful so always makes me feel good. I will set it myself likely tomorrow night. I just like it with more curl that will hold for awhile is the only diffeence.
We are eating leftovers tonight, its ok. I drove to the city and back the back way and there aren't restaurants on that road, but its a lot closer to our house. I got home before dark or the road could have been lousy with deer. We try to avoid driving at dusk.
It was pretty chilly in Ulta. I had the heater all the way up in the car on the way home, got home and put on a fleece shirt, so better now.
We re still watching Gotham and yesterday I watched some WWII movies, pretty good, not ones I had seen before.
I did go to bed last night at 8:30, slept till 9:30 this morning but still not totally rested. At least I don't have to go to work so I can nap if need be. I'm talking to other old folks and they do like me, fall asleep in their recliners and nap, so guess its common. My head does feel clearer today. DD and I are both on sinus meds, its helping also.

ATT actually got internet and TV back on at 2 p.m. vs the 9 p.m. originally anticipated so YAY for them. I did use the downtime to make myself work on the book a bit. I'm going to take the Delsym cough suppressant tonight-I skipped it last night and had several coughing spells. Overall though I feel so much better with the additional hours of sleep. Tomorrow I'm going to go for the haircut I missed today what with dealing with the internet outage, and back to the larger grocery store for a dessert portion for Thanksgiving (DH wants either a slice of pumpkin pie or of cheesecake, and I don't care which).

I was talking about the ones we ordered earlier this year. At that time they send us tests past their use by dates but with a message that they are still good and (yet another) link where you can check when those tests truly expire.

I'm not bothering hubs about the house thing at all right now. We aren't doing anything for awhile anyway and with his health issue I want to see how all that goes first. Wednesday is his PSA test. His friend at the dinner had the same and had to have 45 radiation treatments, I hope he doesn't have to do that, wow. If he does I think Christmas will have to be here. I can't see leaving him on his own or if they start them, him going there. Oh we all have issues that change our lives, so nothing unique for us. We will do whatever needs done.
I wanted red jeans, sweater, and top but in all of Pennys they had one pair and a size 10. I likely can wear those but a 12 is better for me. I ended up with a purple set, its ok but not Christmasy. I may try online, was only $33 for the set.

I'm officially excited. I just heard on the super secret side that we are getting a Mi Tienda grocery store near me. For those of you who aren't from Texas, HEB is a huge grocery chain across the state, very popular, almost a cult-like following. Me, I don't shop 'em because they don't have a lot of the foods we eat, they are expensive IMHO, and the two near me don't have surface parking, only parking garages which I don't do. HEB, however, is very good at reading the market and created a separate set of stores called Mi Tienda that caters to the Hispanic population. They have an in-house tortilleria, cheeses from every state in Mexico, and so much more all with a focus on the Hispanic community. One local Mi Tienda is 98,000 square feet which is BIG. I can't wait - hope that thing is open in the next 12-18 months.

I'm guessing this is not going to end well for YD-neither parent is amused I am perplexed now, because she and OD came back about 10 minutes before Mister got home, and are holed up in YD’s bedroom. As far as I know, not a word has been said since Mister got home. He was hot as a firecracker when I talked to him earlier, but I guess it is a nonissue now. When they came back, YD came in through the garage, like normal, but OD went to the front door. Which was odd, because we never use the front door, plus it has been raining all day, and the front door is taking the long way to get inside and out of the rain. The only other times she’s done that has been when she’s had an issue with me and was trying to avoid me. Except, I haven’t done anything this time. I haven’t even seen her in a couple of months. I also don’t have anything to do with what their parents claim to be upset with YD about. Then the first thing OD asked Kiddo was has he eaten today. Last night I told Mister that since Kiddo is on break from school, he could spend the night here again if they wanted, since I was off work today. So, what, because it was just me and him here today, maybe I didn’t feed him? He told her yes, he had bacon and eggs for breakfast. She said “That’s all”? He said “I’m still full. Plus I had some chips Miss Pink bought me when we went to the store”. Yes, I cooked him what he said he wanted for breakfast, but he didn’t have lunch because he told ME he wasn’t hungry. Mister’s kids swear they will die from starvation if they don’t have 3 squares/day, every day. And yes, I let Kiddo pick a snack for me to buy when we went to the store, just like I do when my grandchildren go to the store with me. But why ask him those questions? Maybe I took it the wrong way, but I feel like the implication was that she needed to make sure I didn’t let him sit around and just be hungry all day. Lordt! I can’t even really deal with Mister right now. I most definitely can’t deal with bullshit from his daughters. If it becomes clear that OD really is on some bullshit again, for whatever reason, she’s gon be in for a surprise this time, because Imma address her directly and deal with her Dad later, like I should’ve done from the beginning. For however long this is my home, I will not be treated any kind of way while I’m here, by ANYBODY. And I mean that.

We can do it again? I still have the four from last time but may want to add to the stash with all the holidays and travelling coming up I would. We used up some of our old stash. I got two faulty tests in the old stash. Control line never came up. We can order them starting today. Probably will be expired but I used many when I was sick in September. They should be giving everyone n95 masks.

Covid shots did a number on me and even a day is a problem since I work 6 days a week in a small office. Learned earlier today there is a RSV vaccine that is recommended for peeps 60 and over. Being over 60, and needing all the protection I can get, I might ask a doctor about it.

We could be RICH! Keep those cocktails coming! 🙃😝🙃 1800-232-0233 is the number, if you want to call and place your order. Thanks!

On another note, last night when I got home from work, I asked Mister if he’d made an appointment with his counselor. He said no. I said “you say there are some things we need to work out, and you need to work on you. Do you feel like you can do that without help from a professional?” He said “No. Well make the appointment then”. NO SIR! I can’t make an appointment for you, and if you mean an appointment for us to go together, I’m not interested in that at this time. My appointments (when I can get a damn appointment) are for me to work on ME. Even if I never get another appointment, I am still thinking “me” now, and not “we”. I am watching what he does, way more than I am paying any attention to what he says. And if he can’t be bothered to show me something real, or even make his own appointments, that tells me much more than his words do.
For me, this is not a game, this is my fucking life. This shit will not just blow over and if he thinks I will just pretend that he hasn’t said and done the things he’s said and did, just for the sake of staying in a relationship with him, without him doing some real work to show me something different, the gold digger shit is the least of the problems, because he really must not know me at all. One thing I’ve never done, and will never do, is be good to a man that’s not good to me.

I just got back from the pharmacy, where I got the flu shot and a Covid shot. We'll see I feel tomorrow. I want to get a flu shot soon. I'd like to get the Covid booster but I need to time it. Covid shots did a number on me and even a day is a problem since I work 6 days a week in a small office. Learned earlier today there is a RSV vaccine that is recommended for peeps 60 and over. Being over 60, and needing all the protection I can get, I might ask a doctor about it. I hope your dr gives you good info. When I asked mine, she suggested I talk to the pharmacy. She said dr offices are the last ones to get them, so her office didn't have any yet. Good luck!
